Dude the way this pays homage to the Old Republic trailers as well as being an inverse on Kenobi's dialogue in A New Hope, simply incredible. Also the voice work for Maul is near perfection.

Maul narration when he says "You were deceived, betrayed" is similar to Malgus speech as he approaches Jedi Temple during Old Republic. Absolutely stunning

Another goosebumping moment
Ahsoka Tano was rendered up so well, just absolute chills seeing her having discomfort about Jedi being hunted down as she is meditating.
Fun fact: that was actually what the battlefront 2 ahsoka was gonna look like she is in game but just locked she was supposed to be the next update same with ventress they are both there but just locked deep within battlefront 2 files

@@wesleyt.8988 Well technically a tiny bit in rebels and clone wars, but not in high definition. Like they looked so sick swinging their very unique yellow sabers in the back.
The temple guards most likely got wiped by the grand inquisitor and a few remaining stood their ground

Love how Maul is taking center stage in most fan works nowadays. How he went from a generic villain to such an icon. Best revive of a character in the franchise.
I know generally people complain about characters being brought back to life but Star Wars has done it really well so far I think.
Maul was brought back to be developed so brilliantly and become a terrifying presence with character motivations and arcs rather than just a scary apperence.
Boba brought back in Mandalorian became way more terrifying than he was in the original trilogy because he actually got to do things and became the character he was in comics and fan works for years.
Fennec was also kind of killed off but at least in that episode they end showing someone walking towards her - making it clear she was coming back rather than changing their mind later.
I have no defence for other characters who were brought back though >.
He was never generic, my dude. Always been the main attraction.
@@jovie311 you know it. The first time I watch Phantom Menace I was just waiting the entire time for the icon ignition of the second blade, and to have Duel of the Fates playing floored me. Then they made him incredibly deep and thoughtful, and if only Asoka teamed up with him...we can dream

Yeah clone wars and rebels did so well with him, it was not just fan service, they really make this character so good
Maul's voice actor just nailed it.

Exactly the same place, looking the complete opposite, with the good turned bad, all changed by one trooper moving from the left to right (Symbolism for how the Clone troopers committed order 66 and their armor became the symbol for evil? 🤔) was just *chefs kiss.*

The fact that you can click on almost any part of the video and use it as a backround speaks for itself. Absolutely stunning visually and the voice acting for maul was on point, Sam Witwer would be proud. Amazing work!

Crazy to think out of 10,000 Jedi knights and masters only 100 or 200 survived the initial purge
remember the 10000 number only counts jedi knights AND masters ONLY, not padawans, younglings and initiates, so there would probably be a little more jedi surviving order 66, of course it doesn't change the fact that over the years only less than a dozen of these would be alive, and less willing to fight the empire.
Also there was the massive amount that died during the war too, so the Jedi were already spread thin when the purge hit

If you’ve ever read or listen to the book, Darth Plagueis, he and Palpatine spent decades planning how they would exterminate the Jedi. It’s a really great book if you haven’t already read or listened to it.
The Imperial Purge was nowhere near the Sith Empire Purge.

If they are producing trash (sequels) by not listening to the advice George Lucas gave them, why would they listen to us and create something like this. DIsney do think they can make a better star wars after all than the original CREATOR, bc disney is arrogant. Look at how the sequels turned out bc they didn't listen to the directions George Lucas wanted, but they did there own thing bc again they think they can do better. Plus why would they do this, what does something like this serve to the story; it would cost to much and there is no need for it, but it would be cool to see though.

This was a fantastic fan-film. To me, it almost looks like a trailer for a video game that is set to release ten years from now. Absolutely wonderful work!

This is amazing. That shot of Alderaan near the end was astounding. Looks exactly how it would if this were SWTOR, and the woman looking up to see the Death Star... wow.

@@SkidMan_Jurej would they even know what it was? I thought only the Rebel Alliance had intel on the Death Star since the Empire suppressed any information about it.
Judging from the scene in the movie, the Death Star was further from Alderaan than our Moon is from Earth. The people there wouldn't be able to see anything, really, from the planet's surface. Military personnel would see it on their long range scanners, probably, and anyone with a telescope pointed in the right direction might see an unknown spherical object, but beyond that, almost everyone else was completely blindsided.

Whoever created the cinematic trailers for The Old Republic needs to make a series. I felt more attatched to the characters in the short 5-minute clips than I did the entire sequel trilogy.

I almost agree. This has an absolutely incredible amount of potential in Star Wars, but I still feel a gritty Band of Brothers style series during the Galactic Civil War would do an incredible amount. Follow both an Alliance infantry unit(Twilight Company(yes, yes, I know they're mobile cavalry)) and an Imperial unit. No Jedi. No Force, just a military show. Or something bringing the X-Wing book series to a screen would be amazing. I truly think the future of Star Wars lies in TV series.

Also seeing Obi-Wan’s perspective on Umbara with the 212th was just the cherry on top! I did not expect to see that, I hope eventually an official story does showcase it in Canon!
I don’t know, some of the shots look extremely professional, no part of it looked cheap to me personally.
I wasn’t saying that it was live-action, but something like a CGI trailer!
To be honest, your line " This straight up looks like an official Star Wars production! " nails it. It is insane, that we are really at the point of render quality at which you just don't know, whether this is live-action or not, or dare I say at the point, where you have to look twice. Give this technology a few more years and we might see CGI renders, that do look like a life action production.

Incredible work, the alderaan shots, the purge trooper appearing when he said purge & all the connections to existing lore was amazing, this is coming from somebody who typically finds fan stuff like this quite cringey & hard to watch so I hope the compliments are felt there, great job truly

My grandfather served in the 104th battalion during the clone wars. He would tell me stories of how the CIS launched waves after waves of droids to try to take out just a dozen clones defending a position. He said nothing during the war was tougher than putting down the Jedi rebellion. He had to gun down a young Jedi that he served alongside for 3 years! But he knew that good soldiers must follow orders, it is because of people like him that we have peace, justice, freedom, and security in the galaxy we live in today. It disgusts me that the younger generation have forgotten about the sacrifices of veterans like my grandfather. Long live the empire!

I just started with Star Wars a month ago, this is AMAZING. I may not have explored a lot of the lore yet but seeing this, just left with the same emotions as seeing the Order 66 for the first time.
Every frame of this production is pure art

Umbara yes, you noticed him as well! (Numa on his helmet gave him away) One of my favorite Clones, for sure. Boil must be close then. Just like our Boost & Sinker. The Best.
The animation is unbelievably impressive, seriously. Like you see other videos like this with the same quality models and textures, but their movements feel lifeless and awkward while in this video it’s a lot more smooth and fluid.
Now I want to see the entire Clone Wars series redone in Unreal…
