Nina Simone is a legendary folk and blues singer, mostly performed in the 1960s. She's amazing. Real unique voice, passionate singer. "Feeling Good" (which Gorran sang at the end) is one of her best known songs.
1:48 You noticing small details like this make me appreciate you off rip ;). Keep the Ren train comin bro I have loved all genres of music for many many years. I have not heard a song from Ren that is not reaction worthy! My favorite and suggestion is Ren - Seven Sins. Its fire man make a video you'll love it! All members of the band are very good singers!
Gorran Kendall, the second singer and emergency guitar tech, and Romain Axisa, the lead guitarist, both have their own RUclips channels filled with solo material. Romain has just dropped a new album in the past week or two. I suggest his video "Goodbye Good Days". It's really good.
Cooper def enjoys scatting. Thx for reacting to this, I really enjoy Ren's busking, there's something about the quality the whole band puts out, especially considering they just use 3 or 4 regular speakers and an amp, out on the street. Amazing
This is such a fine rendition! See what i did there?😂 Romain and Ren were roommates for 6 years and never had a fight! Romain can really make that guitar sing. Enjoy all the Big Push Songs. Nice reaction.
I used to be a piano player- one thing I know-the less strings - the harder it gets. Piano players never poke violinists. Different instrument - different rules. Hail all the underrated bass players!
Hi Nina Simone was an African American 1933/2003. Soul singer and writer I remember her in the 60/70s well liked in her day for rights as well as her music I hope this helps regards dave
This is one of my absolute favourite performances of TBP along with the I Shot The Sheriff mashup. The band members are Ren - vocals, all guitars, melodica, piano, drums, and god knows what else 😂 Romain Axisa - vocals and all guitars (solo artist too) Gorran Kendall - vocals and all guitars (solo artist too) Glenn Chambers - drums (also sings and plays guitar but not often seen) I love how Ren plays bass with a pick, and I love his bass solo, it’s not seen often enough anymore. Also his scatting 🖤
2:25 this is somewhat true. I'm primarily a rhythm guitar player, and there's been 2-3 times I got pressed into service as an emergency bass player. I can keep up just fine and not embarrass myself but there are conventions and playing styles on bass that don't directly translate from guitar. It'd take me a few months to get up to speed and be comfortable at doing that bass player thing.
"...UK - hint. Nah I'm just playing." NO YOU'RE NOT, you just dad-joked and you liked it! AHAHAHAHA! 😹😻 You're awesome and you (and Cooper, obviously) just created the best Ren-action I've seen for weeks. Made even my pitch-black heart and soul soften a bit. Thank you! 🖤 PLEASE do Blind eyed with Ren and his boy Sam Tompkins. Wanna laugh? Do the angry car park attendant-version. Much love, From STHLM, Sweden
I was literally looking to see what you've reacted to and what you haven't, when I came across this. Wth YT. I never got a notification. So freaking good.
These are three different nina simone songs. She was an amazing singer of the 40s i beleive. And the new singer is a member of the big push his name is Gorren. Hes amazing. The more big push songs you react to you will get to know all the members pretty well. They all have so projects too except for glen the drummer. And he is an amazing drummer
Others have said this mash-up is all Nina Simone but Wade In The Water was sung by Harriet Tubman as she guided fugitive slaves to freedom. The song told them to get in the water so that the tracking dogs would lose their scent.
Great reaction and insights! I started learning the baritone Ukelele, as precursor to learning guitar. Lol I struggle with 6 strings and figured since the baritone uke is tuned DBGE like the top four strings of a guitar. It doesn't come naturally and hopefully it makes it easier to learn!! Like I said really enjoyed the reaction and much love from TX❤
I think Gorran had to get that strap because it was the only one they had on hand that had ties for an acoustic guitar. So he needed it for this mashup. I could be wrong, but the strap he removed and the one he is wearing later look the same to me.
Since you are a musician, you should check out Nina Simone! Legend! Listen to her song Do I Move You...not a sexier song out there! Love your reactions (especially to Ren and friends)!
The dog is dense? The dog was trying to tell you no. You forced headphones on the dog, then reacted because there was dog fur on the headphones. Then called the dog dense. 🙄🙄
2nd singer is Gorran Kendall, mean guitar soloist is Romain Axisa, crazy drummer is Glenn Chambers. All talented af.
truth 😊

That guitar strap part and Gorran petting his head is so funny 😂
Nina Simone is an absolute classic legend and a favourite influence of Ren

Then the lead guitar is Romain and then Glenn on drums. All of them are amazing in their own right.

That is Roman on the black guitar, you gotta try Ren and chinchilla "drunk in love "
😂🦮❤
Ren makes music 🐷
Yes, he is Nina Simone
🤣🤣🤣
Overall this was solid, but can we just please address the degree to which Cooper was not diggin' it?
