Realizing that most of us will never see him play live because it is so hard for him to do live concerts, yet I think I can speak for all when I say we would love to see him perform live at least once in our lifetime
I think to round out the vocal styles of these guys I would react to Swan Song, Praise You and Englishman in New York. Three different arrangements that truly showcase their individual and group talents.
This set oozes soul! Another reactor ( I can't recall who) said Ren plays bass like a guitar player ( as a complement). Edit: when Gorran does solo busking he plays a lot of Bob Dylan. He's known as the Dylan Guy.
You HAVE TO check out both Asaf Avidan In a Box III Series called 900 days. He is amazing. All of his songs are, really but I love that one. Also Dirt Miller Guitar Symphony. Beautiful. Ren introduced the Renegades to both and they're astounding!
TBP are such a talented group, and they don't let their individual egos jostle each other on stage, they genuinely look happy to let each other step into the spotlight. So rare in a band!
Lovely - starting my sunday morning with you reacting to one of my favourite The Big Push busking tracks. Isn't it just amazing? The bass solo, Ren singing blues, and then Goran coming in with his version of Feeling Good....❤ You do need to check out Swan Song after this. They are such a versatile bunch....
It looks like the strap broke and Ren has just hooked it over the edge of the guitar so Gorran swapped it. I love this track I am a fan of Nina Simone and Ren obviously is too!
This was great as always. Your smile during the performance, speaks VOLUMES. They have an original called Watch Out. That one is a red suspenders performance and is amazing. At one point, the crowd sings along with them. Can you imagine, hearing your own lyrics sung back to you in a street performance? They just BEAM with joy.
Nice suggestion. I second that. Watch Out is a great original Big Push song which has been passed over by most reactors! I think it would be fun to see your reaction to the live busking version and then the official video, which is equally kick ass with the lil’ IG skateboarding girl! 💔❤️🩹❤️
@@BemusingBill Ren said that they would put out an Instagram post. Saying that they were going to play. And THIS happens. They ended up having to block off the streets whenever they would play. A genuinely brilliant band, all four as individuals so fantastically talented but bring them together and they are something else ! You were so right about the way that Ren "channels" other artists - he really does (Nina Simone, Jeff Buckley, John Frucsiante). I have always loved Romain's guitar playing and I recently asked him who was his greatest influence. His answer surprised me - Chet Baker. I loved that. Be inspired by the musician and not necessarily by the instrument he plays
Such a wonderful band. I'm glad they're all still friends. Glenn's drumming is so good here. Gorran's vocal here has also reminded me of a 60's rock vocal. I could never figure who it reminded me of, though. They've got some really good stuff. Check out "These Boots Are Made For Walking/Satisfaction/Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" filmed in a laundromat. As an aside, your sound and lighting seems fine to me.
My wife hit the nail on the head, I think. She said Robert Plant and I thought of the song, Leaving you. They are all so good! Each one shines in this clip. Thank you!
@@BemusingBill "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" from Zep's first album. Yeah, tell her she's onto something. I think he sort of captures a lot of the style many singers had at that time, but yes, absolutely Plant and that song. Another Big Push you should check out are the sessions they did during lockdown. Gorran, Ren, and Romain all stuck together in an apartment. Good stuff. They're about 20-30 minutes long.

Interesting hearing about the history of your guitars - special times 🎶🧡🔥
On top of my play list for months 😀They all shine in this rendition - Glenn on drums too. Romain really treats his Gibson with style here.v Jim Morrison from the Doors you were thinking of watching Gorran sing ? Another really enjoyable reaction. thx.
Ren started playing with an improvised strap, Cos the hole to notch it over the lug on the body of the guitar had worn through, its wrapped round the elbow of his guitar, just under RENs armpit, at the beginning of the track, which meant he had to play the guitar with it very high up his body. It was replaced by a strap that could properly attach to the guitar on the correct lug, at the right height for him.
On the street there in the UK, Gorran used to be called the Bob Dylan guy or something like that...I also think he's got a lot of Mick Jagger sound to his voice...they are all incredibly talented.

Yes!!! After the video recording ... I was telling the wifey that it sounds like Plant... Glad you think so also 👍😁
Thank you for stopping by for the 1st time and watching... much love to ya ❤️
The person he reminds you of is Paul Weller
Well,, I can't say I know that name. I looked him up and have never heard of the bands he was in which means I MUST explore! Thank you for that!
@@BemusingBill no worries. Yeah when I first saw this Big Push clip and saw Gorn, it struck me how much he looks and sings like Paul Weller - but this far no other reacter seems to have remarked on it.
There are some absolutely FANTASTIC and very memorable songs from Weller’s back catalogue you could check out. I’ll let you or other more avid fans of his decide where you want to start 👍
It sounds a bit like The Animals.. Chas someone..
Lol your baby is around my age, though I've just had a birthday I'm a little older😂
Happy birthday!! Love and hugs❤️❤️❤️
Goran reminds me of Jackson Browne with his look in this one... can't match a classic rock voice to it though
I've heard so many comparisons on here but for me and the wife, for this song at least we think more like Plant. Thanks!
Jim Morrison...
Tim Buckley maybe?
For me there was a tad Matt Bellamy, and a bit of Chris Isaac but I'm sure you're thinking of someone else
Goran reminiscent of roger daltry??
or even Robert Plant??
Mick Jagger, Dan Auerbach and more. And nonetheless: we should not deny, that he have his own style.
Thank you thank you thank you from me here in Plymouth UK knew you would appreciate this so great all of them shining. At 14.38 I could hear Elvis Presley briefly but love Gorrans overall sound. Yeah like you said all showcased in this. So sad creativity of original songs being driven out of music venues. Against A.I. in the arts. Interesting hearing about the history of your guitars - special times 🎶🧡🔥
I was thinking a little like Paul weller
