Yeah, he really screwed up on this review. These things easily beat even the Powerbeats Pros, and I have both. He really needed to use the Powerbeats Pros as the comparison, they are a similar price and extremely high quality. You have to really mess something up to make them sound worse then simple Airpods Some things he really forgot to mention: - You don't have to wear them to update them or pair them, just take them out of the case, and set em down. - Yes, you can use them before the update finishes, but the firmware update greatly improves the sound quality - The sound quality seems like its a little muddy at first, but after a bit you will notice it actually has a giant sound stage. It sounds more like a theater, where you can even pickup on all the little noises. This is the main sound difference from the Powerbeats Pros, which is why I like the MTW2s sound better. - The EQ has been updated, so its not an issue anymore. - If you go into the settings with the cog in the top right, there is actually a setting in there for "High-End Sound Tuning" which is a massive audio enhancer. Probably a really bad thing to over look. - The MTW2s are a no brainer for Android users, Powerbeats Pros quality and features are stripped if you don't use an iOS. - The MTW2s are actually much more comfortable to wear then Powerbeats Pros. - Powerbeats Pros have a strange issue where the charging case occasionally only charges 1 earphone, the MTW2s don't have that. - The MTW2's case is half the size of the Powerbeats Pro's case. I don't find size to be a particular issue for either case, but might be good to know.
You do know this video is 8 months old right, a product should work when you get it, you shouldn't have to wait for an update to finish to get a decent quality true wireless experience. Comfort is subjective, I might find the powerbeats pro extremely comfortable, I might not

Definitely make it 2 taps on the right to "go back", to match the 2 taps on the left for "go forward". That way you can then make the 3 taps on the left turn on "transparency" mode, to match the 3 taps right side for ANC. A simple change to swap those 2 functions that makes things more consistent while needing fewer taps to go back. I find you go back and forward more often that changing the ANC/transparency modes.
The things I've changed since I posted above is to swap forward and back - made the two taps forward on the right, and two taps back is on the left instead of the other way around. I was using transparency mode a lot more than ANC, so I reduced the number of taps for that as well. So, one tap left is transparency on/off and 3 taps left is ANC on/off, while one tap right is play/pause and 3 taps right is Siri. Press and hold is still volume up on right, and volume down on left. The ANC and Siri were being used less often, so I made them both 3 taps. The transparency would still toggle on off with one tap, for when you don't want to hear what's going on around you. When I set up my True Wireless 3 the Sennheiser App kept these settings for the new device! The MTW3 sounds better with no EQ than the 2, and although a little brighter sounding the bass is still strong. This makes the frequency response a little V-shaped, and adding a little more to the midrange makes them even better (same as the Rock preset). I just wish they'd connect to two devices at once such as my MacBook Pro and iPhone, like the Jabra 75 or AirPods Pro.

Where did the Tile integration info come from? I don't see it mentioned in the product specs, and Sennheiser support mentioned there's nothing they can share about this feature.
Sennheiser has always been a great company so hopefully they can improve these. I've had multiple Sennheiser headphones over the years. They always had awesome audio and they didn't have stupid cords for charging. You just set it on the base. The pricepoint was pretty high. But to be honest, the headphones were hardcore. My first set lasted for 6 years of daily use and both of my cordless headsets outlasted the base. My first set only stopped working because the base failed.

Why is wireless charging such a big thing. Often it's still slower than with a cable and you still need a cable for the wireless charger to plug into a wall. What do you gain?

Wireless charging is less strain on the port. Also easier than constantly plugging/unplugging. There are wireless charging batteries available also, negating your plugged in point. Charging speed is only one factor, but there are faster wireless than the standard 5W. If you have multiple wireless charging devices you don't have to worry about carrying the right cable all the time, especially if your phone supports reverse wireless charging. Yeah, he really screwed up on this review. These things easily beat even the Powerbeats Pros, and I have both. He really needed to use the Powerbeats Pros as the comparison, they are a similar price and extremely high quality. You have to really mess something up to make them sound worse then simple Airpods
Some things he really forgot to mention:
- You don't have to wear them to update them or pair them, just take them out of the case, and set em down.
- Yes, you can use them before the update finishes, but the firmware update greatly improves the sound quality
- The sound quality seems like its a little muddy at first, but after a bit you will notice it actually has a giant sound stage.
Comfort is subjective, I might find the powerbeats pro extremely comfortable, I might not
@@mikkelstormhansen9733 Huh? I hope you never buy a new computer, those things don't work right out the box, you have to go through lengthy updates and account creation just to use them.
It doesn't matter how old the review is, he still missed a few important things. I am just making sure people who come in here for a proper review know whats changed, and what wasn't mentioned, and offer a proper comparison. I got these strictly because Powerbeats Pro is completely feature stripped on the Android. That makes the MTW2s come out ahead, but if you have an iOS Powerbeats will be about as good.
@@wilburcobb4596 Then you should mention that. And there's a difference between buying something that you will actually want to customise, like a computer, and buying something that should just work. Headphones should just work, no updates or firmware needed for them to actually be functional

Hi there, thanks for the review. Sennheiser updated the app to include "normal" EQ controls and I was wondering if you've had a chance to update the review. Looking forward to that, thanks a lot!
Where did the Tile integration info come from? I don't see it mentioned in the product specs, and Sennheiser support mentioned there's nothing they can share about this feature.
I’m still loving the beard, don’t shave
Whats the benefit of wireless charging over traditional? Just a plug?
On the plus side, Sennheiser updated their app awhile ago and have a different equalizer with individual sliders.
Had these for over a year, they are by far the best true wireless I've ever used, the guy in this video puts way too much weight on the software and "user experience", all the most important features of these buds are absolutely stellar.

@@benjaminspencerrivera5973 That vid is a showcase not a review which means that it was sponsored by Sony to say good stuff. It isn't an honest review
@@benjaminspencerrivera5973 not a review bro
@The Griffin Of course bro Sony's ones are way better
Harshit Karwal they sound better, but that's it.
Can you use one or the other on it's own like the Galaxy Buds?
Nope
I was over like just use the built in eq and then I remembered that only LG has that in the settings.
If you have a samsung phone try sound assistant best ap ever
@Tristan Burke that dont really work. Some of them do but a lot dont. And lg has put serious work into the sound chips in thier phones. Built in quad dacs
@@Alex-vd3rm as long as lg keeps putting dacs in thier phones i probably wont buy anything else. Hell just the fact that the flagships still have audio jacks is a selling point for me
Eq in your LG only relates to your phone and when you'll connect earbuds to other phone or PC, they'll sond different. If you'll ajust sound with sennheiser app, those ajust saved in earbuds and will work from independantly of sound source device
@@Demonslayer20111 Quad DAC doesn't do anything for wireless though unfortunately. (Also LG phones aren't being sold in Europe anymore)
"Love Me Like You Do (Fifty Shades of Grey)"
WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH, DID NOT SEE THAT COMING
The sound quality of the MTW 1 and 2 is way bettwr than the Airpods (Pro)...
Would you say that MTW 1 is better than 2? I have heard mixed things about them.
@@BigSStudios The MTW 2 are better but just slightly. They both sound just as good, battery life is better on the 2s, they don't uncharge in the box anymore snd they have ANC. The ANC is meh. But still better then no ANC. So if you have the money go for the MTW2s but if you are just looking for good sound you can safe 100 $ and get the MTW1.
@@dawo3993 ok thanks for the information
@@BigSStudios no problem (:
was the draining issue never fixed on the 1st version? my gf has that one and she never used it again after she got frustrated with the issur
Linus with beard: *exists*
OH NO HES HOT
Linus: (loudly snapping like he's calling a dog)
Linus not even 10 seconds later: (calls to his wife for no reason)
That is either the bravest or most foolish thing he could have done
@Ali Fardan I know that wasn't the intention. The joke was that if she didn't know he was recording, that could easily be misconstrued.
Weird title, I was under the impression it was common knowledge Sony XM3's were pretty much best in class. Most people I know say that Apple are "ok"
I purchased these about a week ago. The app is updated with a better EQ. The sound for music is amazing, however there is a huge amount of static when making a phone call. I'll probably be returning them for that reason. Sad.
