$200 is middle of the road when it comes to options with active noise cancellation at the high end. But man, we're now starting to see noise cancellation on 50 to $75 earbuds...
Not sure I’d trust my hearing to a cheap brand ANC. I spend an inordinate amount of time on airplanes and ANC is a must. They all put a lot of pressure on my ears and I’ve found Bose to be the most comfortable. I’ve had cheap over the ear headphones w/ ANC and they were uncomfortable for prolonged periods. In ears will be worse.
Bought them after these specific review, after a year of intense use I can say these are loud af, I always use them at 70% volume, also I dropped them like 5 times and still no issues, i would recommend them for those who are not very careful and want raw volume and bass with no distortion at all (the real volume comes after downloading the app and customizing the EQ, by default the volume is low)
That doesn't sound too bad. I love the gesture customization. I would also love to see an increase battery life in the next generation. Right now I've been rocking the Galaxy Buds+ and been pretty happy with them.
YES! I just discovered Khruangbin too, and literally love them... I can listen to them anywhere anytime, and they’re truly a great test of new speakers/headphones etc. And I can’t pronounce their name either:)

YOOOO that Milwaukee knife is actually the shit! I love how on the package it's like "3X FASTER BLADE OPENING!" When I first got it I had a job cutting a LOT of stuff all day and it was honestly a life saver! Saved a good 5 minutes a day! You might want to Loctite the screws around the blade holder because the vibration of opening and closing it eventually loosens them.
I think the comply foam tips are helping with the sound and seals, they are awesome by themselves and helps a lot improving other earbuds. Too bad it's not for me, they will always pick up my ear oil and gooeys 🙄
Skullcandy Indy 1st gen is good for $80, often on sales for $50: Recommend for money No noise cancellation, but isolation is good for basic. Great base and sound, but distorted in the 90 to 100 volume range. Dropped multiple times and still works great. Connection is iffy if more than 20ft or so away from device or between walls.
The one thing that I like about the earphones (currently using hammerhead true wireless x) is that you don't even need to activate gaming mode. They are already below 60ms (tested in valorant, league, fortnite, csgo, wow)
It kinda makes sense to put the case in the Pocketwatch pocket but only if your case is the same size as a pocket watch, plus everyone's pocket watch pockets are difference sizes.
Great review, thinking of picking them up myself. My main thought after watching this though... your voice high-key sounds like you can do voice over for a character on a show like Rick & Morty.
You neglected to mention the low latency gaming mode. In my opinion this is why they cost as much as they do. In addition to sounding as good as other high end Bluetooth earbuds they also support low latency which allows them to be used for gaming. Most high end Bluetooth earbuds do not support aptx low latency and therefore will have a drastic lag in audio when used for gaming.
@Anthony Davis Speaking of which, what an interesting quirky little series! Looked up Como Me Quieres and initially I was wondering where was the "Barry" part but when it hit I immediately knew I 've heard it before. I wonder if we will get a nice conclusion to it because Barry and NoHo Hank are a great couple of frenemies.
I wish reviews of wireless earbuds would include a test outside in the open air. I have two cheap sets that work perfectly indoors but outside they cannot reliably communicate with each other and they get out of sync or one ear goes silent.
Bought these for $150 Canadian, I finally caved and bought bluetooth headphones after having wired for so long, I like that it's a TYPE C charging port so I don't have to deal with micro USB anymore.
I found that with many earbuds, I'll have to do a small tip on one ear and a medium on the other. So if you're having trouble with the seal or fit in one ear, try that.
I still have my hammerhead pros from 2014, I both love them and wish they would break so I can replace with these ones, though I'm also questioning the build quality. Recent razer products have been a little iffy I've found. That app though, we need more of that for all devices!
Not bad considering that the Airpods Pro cost $250 (though on sale they can be found for $200 as well) but the Sony WF SP-800 is going for $150 - 200 now and those have far better battery life and sound quality than the Airpods Pro so I can see the Sony set beating out these.
