Wow, the mic quality is one of the best I've heard for a gaming headset! It's unfortunate they can't mix bluetooth/game audio simultaneously. That's a major reason I go for higher end gaming headsets.
I was almost sold on these until I heard that you can’t have game and Bluetooth audio coming through at the same time. When they figure that one out, then I’ll be forking out the cash.

Hey, What do you think is better for competitive gaming? (Warzone 2 player) Right now I have the JBL quantum TWS, they sounds great and the noise canceling working perfectly but with the dongle connected to my ps5 they only last about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of battery life…
so it can perform like gaming headsets for fps like precise sounds on left and right gunshots and footsteps? I hope the upcoming playstation wireless earbuds will perform more like premium headsets with good mics. nice honest review keep it up.
@@NazPresents Yeah, you just double tap on the buds. I have the Xbox version and my only complaint is that the default is microphone on whenever you connect, so I always have to remember to mute them before joining an online game.
I have the older versions that feature a gaming mode via Bluetooth, i cant find any info on it online so assuming these dont have that feature? Was really good as they was instant with no audio lag in that mode.
The confusing thing when looking these up, there are apparently several versions of the Hammerhead. Which one is the latest/best? Btw, do these have some annoying voice that says stuff like "device active" like the WH-1000XM4 over-ears have? I want complete silence or at least no voices telling me what happens.
Thanks for the great review. You showed the Razer app, is there a way to control the volume and mute the mic quickly via the app? When playing games I often mute my mic or adjust the volume and I'm guessing that would be difficult via the touch controls.
You're not able to connect to the app when connected through the transmitter. You can the adjust volume with touch controls, though. And if gaming on PS5 you can mute the microphone with the controller.
Does these earbuds have a sidetone feature where i can manage the settings how loud i could hear my own voice? The new Sony Inzone Buds don´t have such a function which is a shame.
How are they for game chat with friends? I sick of the heavy over the head headsets when chatting with friends. I only use those when gaming by myself. I have AirPods so I don’t care about using them for phone calls.

I bought the Hammerhead X to try out Razer, I am surprised about it I've played with the Audio settings I maxed out the settings and played with the volume. It didn't distort the audio at max levels and mids and lows are pretty clear, other earbuds that has Audio Apps when you put the custom EQ all at high and Max the volume they get distorted. Razer Hammerhead X didn't like for $60-$70 you get that kind of audio quality it's insanely good. It's 13mm drivers so if you're ear holes isn't big enough don't buy em, bcuz they're not for everyone they will get uncomfortable I'm good fits my ears ok and their IP4 so sweat and rain is ok. Gaming earbuds is definitely going to be a thing now. I'll probably buy the PlayStation version because of your review it was pretty clear and I had good experience with Razer.
hi, I plan on buying the Hammerhead TWS X, does it support mono use? I mainly use my wireless earbuds for calling so I need it to be able to be used on one ear only at a time. been using Airpods Pro for 4 years now, and no matter which side I put on my ear, it’s always connected. hope you answer, thank you in advance.
Not sure if you made your choice but I've found the Pulse 3D to be super nice in terms of sound and controls but for me they become extremely uncomfortable/ painful after more than an hour of gaming so I'm looking into possibly getting Earbuds.
@@CEONTHEMAKING FYI - I just got the Xbox version and the Xbox O/S has a config screen where you can fade the audio between game & chat. Sliding it all the way to chat eliminates the game audio leaving chat only. My game audio still plays through the TV/Stereo so I'm happy!

100% the P10s. I just got them and they're fantastic. Sound quality is superb and latency is nonexistent. Highly recommended them especially for about half the price.

Great review. Im reading some reports that despite these ones being PS branded and not having the Xbox mode switch, they still work on an Xbox using a USB C to USB a adapter. Are you able to confirm?
I have never understood the argument for ANC. Frankly most earbuds that have a plug tip for the ear, block enough noise on their own. So I get where you coming from. It's a feature I'll never use. I feel like a good ambient is definitely worth trying to market more.

I don’t like headphones or hats. Anything touching my head or face wigs me out. Sensory overload. i bought the “soundcore VR P10” few days ago from amazon for 61$ tax and all wich is less than half the price for these and i have to admit they are wayyyyy better than these razer ones.. and razer is my favorite brand.. almost everything i own is razer from my rig.. except on my ps5 of course. on the soundcore you can be playing ps5 and automatically switch from the game to answer a phone call or watch a video at the same time without having to connect them manually. its like they are both connected at the same time. the sound is perfect and the mic works great aswell IMO. the only good thing i did like about the razers is that they are playstation licensed and go good with the set.

They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
I have a problem with mine which I don't know if anyone could help resolve... My audio is absolutely fine, but my microphone when using the PS5 is absolutely horrible! My friends say my voice keeps cutting out etc. and it's super annoying because on my PC, it's working just fine and doesn't cut out. Any potential fixes would be greatly appreciated

I’ve had this issue when I bought a wireless pair of headphones for the ps4. Like it was a loud crackling noise that really made me pack it back up and return immediately. I just stick to wired headphones now.

Why is it always the mids that need lowering? I swear I need to change it on everything I use that plays music.
As a truck driver and ps5 player these could have been perfect if you could take phone calls, but sadly you cant.

Yes for the fact that it's Bluetooth. The pulse 3d isn't a Bluetooth headset. It only works with it's 2.4ghz USB adapter

The ANC is bad. I would say to drop the price to $99.

Why do you need to plug in the dongle to the PS5 to use but you don’t have to with a phone ?
Ps5 doesn’t support Bluetooth audio without the dongle
