    The brushed Traxxas Titan motor is no joke. I bought one to put in my Ecx Ruckus Monster truck, night and day difference in between that motor and the stock dynamite motor it came with. Great video. 😊

    My 2wd Slash has gradually been modified into a 65 mph BEAST. LCG chassis, big bore shocks, Castle Creations brushless setup, and ProLine tires. Dirt Drifting is just a blast with this truck.

    I got my slash a year ago. That was my first 2wd rc. My son in-law and grandsons started slash racing on their oval track. When you race equal cars and it comes down to driving skills it makes it a blast. The grandsons are 9, 7, 5 yrs old and they can all smoke this old grandpa! We have bashers, crawlers and a couple of small buggies but this oval racing is the most fun yet. Good review

    I have a Slash VXL 2WD and it’s nuts! The Stability Management (TSM) helps Rookies like me wonderfully and allows we amateurs plenty of fun with wheels the right way up.
    I know Traxxas has had some terrible press lately with their appalling treatment of resellers etc and they deserve a kick in the pants for it, but they do produce a lot of fantastic models that lot of us love.
    Another brilliant video and non biased, thank you.

    I love my 2WD Slash, I put a set of Proline wheels with Trencher tyres on when I first got mine, the standard Traxxas wheels/tyres were a bit crap, the Proline wheels enhance the handling, I also fit RPM front & rear bumpers with mudflaps,the standard ones are very weak but thats the beauty of Traxxas, you mod it out to whatever you want

    Do you know the FTX Apache? 240 pounds in the U.K., brusless, comes with a 3s LIPO, decent electronics... And it's very well made. A greater value per pound IMO.
    Traxxas bussines model revolves around spare parts and that's all about it. That says a lot about their RC models.

    • @valuerc2664
      @valuerc2664 Год назад +2

      That's true that Traxxas business model is based on selling spares. But that tells you that Traxxas cares for both hobby shops and customers. I have 2 friends who work in hobby store, and they told me that on new cars they have only 20% markup, but 50% on parts. I like shopping for used rcs, for example couple months ago I bought slash 2wd with no body and bad servo for only 30$.
      I have probably over 10 Traxxas cars built in the 90s and most of the parts are.still available. Some other brands introduce a new model, build I hype to sell as many as possible and discontinue after couple of years with parts sometimes impossible to find.

    Liked the video, because I appreciate your reviews. Not the biggest fan of traxas right now, as their prices are astronomical, and they are a bit too corporate for my tastes. I also am really only interested in like 3 of their models, and 2 of those are a 'this one or that one' kind of deal...
    I do like 2WD vehicles, but, for the price of one of these, I will buy 2 of something else, or, fully upgrade 1 of a different company!!
    Keep up the great work, and I will keep watchin!

    Id go good in a Traxxas $ 150 USD. bag . Id go better in a Black US made heavy duty bag for around $60 USD found in any Military Surplus Store. Double sewn like any Army textile & the savings will be put away to start funds on a VXL system. Same truck we love, now with 50+ mph Fun.

    I'm looking for a short course truck at the moment.
    Still between a slash or a 4x2 senton, wich seems more appealing because of the posibility to upgrade it to 4wd. Also cheaper and more options with batteries.

    Traxxas has lost my support. Not because of the quality of their products but because of their bullying of aftermarket companies. RC is a niche hobby and in my opinion, the aftermarket hop up companies are just as important as the kit manufacturers. Traxxas lawyers are trying to shut down aftermarket sites. For that reason I’ll never buy a new traxxas product. I currently own a bandit, a slash, and 3 stampedes.

      That's not really designed to be a 2WD. It's just a temporary setup until you have bought the boost parts. The layout is a 4WD one. Besides, you should have compared it to the Senton boost, not the Vortex. Different kind of cars.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Год назад

      Of course that is an option in this price range and offers the opportunity to upgrade to 4x4. This was designed to be 2wd and is a lot of fun. I don't what parts you use but forget aluminium anything, it will just bend and break on impact. Plastic is much better and more crash resistant, also, RPM is your friend, they make parts that are much sturdier than Traxxas.
