It's impossible to stat pad with Christie Sides as your coach. She will pull you out of the game when you need 1 rebound for a triple double, she will make every coaching decision to aid the opponent. She only calls a timeout to stop her team's momentum not to stop the other team from going on a run. No game is over with her as coach. No lead is safe (see last night) with her as coach.
That's wrong! Clark was still in the game when they were up by 31 points at the end of the third. She didn't even get a rest at the end of the quarter so she could close out the 4th.
If the coach wanted to prevent her from increasing her stats in that game, she would have taken her out.

That is hilarious. Assists is the most unselfish stat in basketball, it puts team first and it requires the person receiving the assist to make the shot and for them to score more points. Even if you could stat pad this, how is that bad?
How can you even stat pad assists it all depends on your teammates to make their shots.

A forward who is averaging 13.8 pts, 11.8 reb, 41.1% from the field, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals, .5 blocks and 75.2% freethrows, or a guard who is averaging 16.8 pts, 5.9 reb. 40.3 from the field, 7.8 assists, 1.5 steals, .9 blocks and 89.2% freethrows, and the guards team is above the forward in the league standings and beaten them two out of three games. I think the choice is obvious.

I read this take earlier on reddit and it makes zero sense. They needed to take another shot or it would have been a turnover. She was still in playing minutes and ran the offense like she did all game. In Angel's case, the shot clock was off, they just needed to dribble it out. Two different things.
