- Life has been a little stressful recently and this was all filmed prior to everything else that going on in the world right now. It is difficult for me to think through more complicated videos at the moment so lets do some easy going vintage shopping to relieve stress + picking up my most recent antique auction wins. Hello Amanda, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your vlogs. Wow! I discovered utube last fall and watched one of your Christmas vlogs. I was hooked. I love the music, your content, your booth and its many resets. Your taste is my dream life. Sort of a cross between “Out of Africa “, a favorite movie of mine and Ralph Lauren style. That clock from minute 7:42 is EVERYTHING!!!! Love the carved wooden box and the tin blue and white jar for $5! Ugh, this kind of stress shopping, minus the stress, looks fabulous. GOSH I could use a few of those carved boxes for my shelves at home 😍 They would fit in with so many different decor styles.

The chamber pots are great for styling with succulents or ivy in them ! I have at least 4 of them and put plants in them !
I think plants & potting might be the best use for them!

I see a lot of tubers grabbing those wood boxes thinking there something. They are stash boxes from the 80's. we use to keep pot, papers and clips in them. you could get them everywhere from head shops to K-mart for a couple of dollars. cheap made, by cheap labor from Asia. Why does no one remember this or were we all just stoned. O, and not meaning to be a buzz-kill, but I think you clock is missing all it's long bits. looks like the one my mom had in 1977. Might want to check before you go to sale on.

I know you don't share prices but next time you do an auction pick up can you elaborate on how it works. Do you only see the pictures online, is the whole process online, where they get there stuff from?

I would LOVE to have that Couch and chairs!!!! Adore them!!! We use to own two different gold velvet sofas (at two different times), back in the seventies and early eighties. Both were so flipping comfortable . I could just smack my young self for selling them. 😥😅 We haven't had a comfortable sofa since... Hubby thinks that all these leather sofas that we've bought (about 4 of them), are going to be comfortable, but they ain't....🤣 TFS, I so enjoy your videos!!!!, Lori

Amanda, you’re so much fun to watch. I had an antique store in Petaluma, CA just north of San Francisco. I moved to Myrtle Beach 4 yrs ago & there are hardly any shops here. So bummed. But I keep looking!

I was wondering if you come across a China pattern called Crestwood by Grovesnor. Please say in a video where you found it. My sister is looking for it. She having trouble finding replacement pieces.
That Eastlake mirror goes with that dresser with the replaced knobs….I think! The wood looks the same. Way to high priced in the condition it’s in for $225.00…..even with the mirror!!

I don’t think that cute “cut mirror” for $45.00 was old…. Maybe from 2015 to 2019
It’s hard to tell with those! I’ve seen the ooold one & the newer ones. I agree though, the older ones tend to have some chipping to the back & patina.
@@amandasmercantilethe older ones are usually connected to the wall with metal brackets around the edge & are quite thick…. This mirror is a cutie for $45

It is impossible to sell mirrors where I live. I don't understand it. I have a really beautiful one in my booth for like 3 years. for 49.00 no takers. Itmight be because of theopen concept trend the last few years new houses have no frigging walls here in California.
