This scene about the fear of death hit so hard for me.. As a little child I paniced at the thought of my death or the death of family members. Parents couldn't even calm me.. How do you even explain death to a child or give comfort against the inevitable final destination? I made my peace with it, but it was a long way. This peace is what I wish for Emmerich, too!
Harding and Emmerich’s writing absolutely take the cake in the entire game. It’s almost unfair how good they have it compared to say Bellara, or Neve. The others are pretty good too, but these two simply sit at a level of their own.
Nothing to fear, this 'Reality' isn't real, your here to experience LIFE. The role of ego. In truth, we are all from God, from source, experiencing this creation... Eventually EVERYTHING returns Home.
Aside from Davrin, those are the exact characters that Mary Kirby wrote before they laid her off during covid. She also wrote Varric's character so if you liked that it's because of her work and literally nothing the current team has done. They took her hard work and kicked her to the curb.
Man, I remember when Necromancy wasn't "quirky" or respectful. I remember when it meant you either had to bind bloodthirsty demons into corpses and unleash them into the world or force spirits into them who hated every second of it.
There is a difference between a blood mage binding corpses and a nevarran necromancer. The latter have always been spoken about in the series as the carers of the dead, and that they are highly respected in their society. In a country whose culture and religion hinges on respect and veneration toward the dead and their bodies (again, this has been established in the series since forever), of course good necromancers are going to be respected and admired.
It doesn't even look like dragon age anymore. It's so...candy-like. There is literally none of the dark, gritty atmosphere of the first game. And the dialogues? If those are really the best they can offer then it's just sad.
I don't personally mind the artstyle, but the dialogue most of the time isn't on par with their previous titles. This seems like Mass Effect Andromeda bit lighter tone.

It's sad that this kind of writting impresse people. It should be routine dialogue in a normal RPG ;(
And it was like that. And Bioware did it.

I mean it is true. Some of us are scared of dying.

the only characters that are well written/performed are Emmerich and lucanis, maybe davrin
obviously solas and varric too
@@reve_rse Especially Solas, but goes without saying Solas is very well written character
Well, Davrin is played by Javik from ME3, and I think he was well done. Almost didn't recognize him without the alien filter.

@ she did not write emmrich

The voice acting is actually awful in a lot of places too, Emmrich is actually the only one I think did a good job
Candy? What are you even talking about? Go to the Hossberg wetlands or visit the city you chose not to save in Act 1 and tell me you still think this.
@@lozpopohonestly playing on German and then looking at some videos from the English version makes me realise how much better get German synchro is
This is garbage writing. This is the BEST?
Nothing will ever satisfy you people, will it? 😒
