More like Blackwall and Bull since Sera spends most of her time antagonizing Solas. At least Blackwall and Bull have amicable conversations with Solas enough to ask such raunchy questions about whether he banged someone in the Fade.

I think at that point, even if Spite was a demon, he's become more akin to a spirit, assuming that one does his/Lucanis's personal questline. We've seen it is possible in Inquisition for a spirit to become a demon and then back again, just this time with the spirit surviving the process since it's more gradual and willing, plus having a physical vessel to help stabilize him probably helps.
If Emmrich isn’t a Lich the conversation goes differently until the ‘it would be a privilege to speak to you more’ bit. Much more agreeable. Lmfao. Solas is a Manfred deserves life truther.
And unlike in the Inquisition, Solas can't hide from his "I'm better than you" spiel in front of Davrin, who knows everything. Adding his IDGAF nature, he definitely hellfired the Egg.

All the way through Veilguard, I kept thinking Emmrich and Solas would get on so well if they could have a conversation, so I'm glad this dialogue pretty much confirms that!
I know Emmerich has an alternate interaction if Manfred is alive but I wonder if Lucanis does too if he and spite are set on separation instead of working together.
Lucanis says that given Solas' history to correct his mistakes, he refuses his offer, probably not wanting to become a collateral damage by Solas' fck ups.
A question I had asked myself when I heard Solas made his physical body, "if he had the option to make his physical body, why didn't he choose to have hair?" 😂😂😂 I still want to know the answer
i love how solas couldn’t even argue with lucanis/spite, and just says “fair point” when they mention how he betrayed rook 💀 like bro’s not even trying to defend himself anymore
Solas described that the name "came to him before fen'harel" in inquisition, he probably didn't choose it himself. I would assume that, when he chose a physical body, that name was attributed to him. It's sort of synonymous with how a spirit of wisdom becomes a demon when corrupted with pride
Solas had no right to refer himself as spirit of wisdom after he strayed too much from his nature. This is what Emmrich's retort sums up to after Solas insinuates that there is nothing remain of what Emmrich used to be when he become as lich (which as far as we know, he's still him and is definitely not trying to screw things up).
They made Solas brimming with flaws in the Veilguard. If you didn't play the Inqusition, there's nothing redeemable about him in this game. Everyone are shitting on him, and he isn't right about absolutely anything. Also the whole shtick with "If I outsmart you, I'm right." - like? And it's so sad how they changed his motivations. In the last meeting in the Inquisition with FleMythal she did not seem upset about the fact he is killing her - she knew why he is doing it, she nurtured the powers to surrender them to him, he was doing it for the People. The reasons were morally flawed, but they were sympathetic, as he said to her - "I should pay the price... But the People... They need me." to completely overhaul it for doing it, because it is the world Mythal wanted, only she did not want it, so he is doing it all out of his Pride. And their last meeting has been completely retconned. Suddenly she opposes him and he betrays her by killing her. But, that's not what happened in the past game? Like, why remove all of his complexities, and beauty of his character, him being a pragmatic philosopher and make him so clear cut and... stupid, pathetic?
Yeah, I entered this game a Solavellan, and left a No Lavellan. I am having a heck of a time justifying a Rook who attempts to talk him down. There was virtually nothing of what the Inquisitor saw in Solas in his interactions with Rook. There was no understanding reached, no bond able to be formed, and anything that WAS there may very well have been a full on lie. I say "may" cus Rook doesn't really ever get a chance to hash that out beyond one interaction that, again, ends with another lie. And for all Solas says "I'm sorry", especially post regret prison, it never seems like he really means it.
What bothers me about Veilguard is how they imply that Flemeth died unwillingly. She was ... very much willing and ready there ? Like she didn't die unwillingly. She knew what must be done. She was prepared.
I'm not fond of deadnaming but Solas has no right calling himself as Wisdom after all the fcked ups he did. That's quite low of him to insinuate that nothing remained of Emmrich when he becomes a lich. At least he's working to save the world and not violate the natural order (the very goal of liches).
