The demon in the well is Despair. It lure people in with something that 'comfort' its victim, like how they lure in the farmer's family with promise of surviving the blight. It's trying to lure Spite using Rook's scent. Rook is comfort to Spite.
It's such a shame we don't get at least one quest about Spite. Would have loved a solid 10-30 minutes of Spite lore (or just silly "chaos goblin spirit" fun).
All male companions of this game are single dads. Choose your poison folks, don't be an evil stepparent to them. The Ligthouse is becoming a daycare at this point. 😂
My Rook (Magnus de Riva) becoming Lucanis' husband, Spite stepdad and a cool adoptive uncle to Assan and Manfred is my personnal canon. After defeating the gods, I took the boys for a wyvern safari in Orlais countryside. Also canon.
In Hossberg Wetlands you get a quest to find a missing family in the farmlands, you'll find a well there. After finishing that quest go to the Crossroads. In the snowy part you'll find another well next to the huge blighted tree. Jump inside to full end the farmland quest :)
I'm not quite sure I understand the pattern where the player is able to hear Spite's "real" voice versus when he talks through Lucanis. Sometimes it happens & sometimes it doesn't
I've noticed that Lucanis doesn't move his mouth when we hear Spite's real voice, so we're likely just getting a peak into what Lucanis hears but no one else does. Similar to the early scene in front of the fireplace where Spite throws his tantrum because he wants to talk to Rook.
Spite's real voice was audible through Lucanis because he was manifesting his voice through Rowan's magic as a spirit mage/seer rather than him forcibly taking control of Lucanis's vocal chords, which is when the hybrid voice kicks in
Spirits have always kind of varied in sophistication. Depending on how long they've been around and what they're spirits of. A few spirits you talk to in the necropolis are very intelligent. Like Vorgoth.
Read this excerpt on acquiring Solas' personal quest: All New Faded For Her: Inquisitor: I thought spirits wanted to find their way into this world. Solas: Some do, certainly, just as many Orlesian peasants wish they could journey to exotic Rivain. But not everyone wants to go to Rivain. My friend is an explorer, seeking lost wisdom and reflecting it. It would happily discuss philosophy with you, but it had no wish to come here physically. Not all spirits are the same. Do you associate Justice with immaturity? What comes to your mind when you hear about justice as a concept? Of course with great seriousness since we're dealing with laws. Of course Justice has to be stern while correcting wrongs (whether by primitive justice or restorative justice). Spite, meanwhile, is an emotion. Anger to be specific. Many people want to do things out of petty spite, just to inflict harm to someone. Of course Spite will look and act immature while protecting Lucanis' well-being (since anger's main purpose is to protect oneself from harm).
@@BouncingTribbles You can mix and match companions however you want for most main story and side quests. "Give me. Fire!" Spite is just a toddler.
Totally!

Oh no wait that's cute-
"May your enemies die bitter and in pain" YEESSS! GOOOD!

There's another one where spite wants to swing on the astrolabe.
Also him asking why the fade doesn’t just blow them all away
Not me thinking of Spite singing Chandelier 😂
I'm sure "We have enough feet already" is a sentence Lucanis never imagined uttering, even in his wildest dreams.
Loving the Emmrich and Spite banter😂
Literally my favorite two lol
There is bird-son, skelly-son, and now demon-son. Spite is so fun.😂
So many sons to adopt.

2:21 Taash parenting Spite 😂
i actually LOVE Taash and Spite and Lucanis banter lol! it makes me giggle so much. Same with Emm and Spite and Lucanis
@bookmarkyourthoughtsblog OMG same!
Taash has the markings of a parent. That parent's signature hypocrisy is there too!
Anders and Justice blew up the Chantry. Spite wants to eat candles 😂

Base spite without Lucanis’s voice sounds like a classic Elder Scrolls Daedra and I’m here for it
The thumbnail is incredible 😭💀
WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOSEEEEE????
Oh there’s also one where spite asks emmrich if they need skin
Not spite asking if he can eat the candles XD
“Curiosity. Has. FEET!!!”
1:03 LMAOOOO that cracks me up
see, NOW I have to play again! i missed about half of these! like, where's that well in here where Spite says "Smells like Rook!"?!

@@snappy6132 omg, i had no idea!!! now i gotta do that

gotta agree with spite in that last one. not fair, taash!

that "keep walking" sounded a little more Iorveth than Spite XD

Spite is one of the good parts of this game.
Idk why they made spirits like toddlers. Imagine if Justice was like this?

@@gzapray7203 amazing explanation! Solas and Emmrich would be proud
So can you just leave Taash behind? Or are your companions assigned based on the scene?
