I just got rid of my 116i with the same engine at 220bhp, it was fast for a 1.6. It’s the same engine as the 308gti and they’re 270bhp. Make sure you get the bigger oil cooler in the 114/116 or the oil gets hot
Sounds really decent honestly, especially for a 4 cylinder. 100% he mistaken the Golf R for a GTi though 🤣 I'm 340hp 550nm and I'd still struggle against a stock Golf R

Prince Engine, the Peugeot RCZ-R which has the most potent version has stock 270BHP (it has uprated internals: pistons and connnecting rods, better heat shielding materials and BW Turbo (MINIs use BW) to achieve this "reliably" when compared with any BMW/MINI equivalents). Biggest issue for the next owner of this car is how long will the Garrett turbo last pushing 250BHP, as well as normal Prince issues. cool lad/car though.

Won’t find a better 114i out there. Still nippy for a 114i BMWs least powerful Petrol 1 series I think, so it’s nippy for what it is, looks great too, M135i from a 114i is one hell of a upgrade congrats on the guy, especially at 20
