Hi Matt a quick suggestion, maybe you could do a couple of episodes where you show viewers how the small fixes and repairs are done. I think it would be interesting content and also help viewers keep their cost of car ownership down in these expensive times.
Thanks for the vids great content.
That would be an episode of Dealer's Wheelers then.
@@fauzanriez9472 only small stuff not resto stuff, scratches, cracks, aircon top ups, mirror repairs etc, just a couple of minutes at the end of an episode
doubt he has the time for this and the demand for this isn't high enough
this would great, as I have the same car, just a few years younger
The 1 series is getting its revenge on you for all the mean things that you said about it over the years by making this video problematic.
😂😂😂
Once again an excellent video as always. You truly bring these cars back to life for a new owner to enjoy for many miles to come. Cheers Matt!
Great success. Another perfectly usable vehicle ready to go. The old adage, "Buy with confidence" springs to mind.
Your a top guy and a passionate car seller. Impressed by your drive. Going the extra smile, even changing the air vents its the little things that always matter!
Credit to Matt always making sure his cars are at a high standard, I think I would only trust buying a car from him 😂
Totally agree would either buy from Matt or Salvage rebuilds uk
@@sheepdogman1 Yes! my two favourite car channels.
@@sheepdogman1 Or 'Chops Garage'
Matt, you live the car lifestyle I hoped for, but never had the sphericals to do. I salute your passion, and thank you for sharing the info.
I appreciate that! Thanks
Great work on this 1 series Matt, another cracking video, although the steering wheel could do with a going over with some warm soapy water/all purpose cleaner and a magic eraser, first thing a person holds is the steering wheel and a matt (excuse the pun) finish beats a shiny wheel every time, ive been doing it for years...😊
I wish I could find bargain priced cars at these prices you buy them for . You do an excellent job on the cars and I'm hooked to the channel
late again! tried watching yesterday after seeing the notification but couldn’t find the video! 😂 1 series is a nice car, but always problematic. loving the quite frequent ‘i bought a cheap…’ videos lately! ❤
A good save Matt, no overspend or unexpected costly surprises and you’ve kept another car with a lot of life left in, on the road.
Good video Matt. I REALLY HATED the 1 series till a few yrs bk my wife was stuck for a motor has her one just went bang. A mechanic friend off mine told me about a 120d he had for sale it was within my small budget 😢 wife actually drove it for 3 years only issue was a rear abs sensor and a out off shape tyre 😂 a very good lil car 🚗 😊
Again looks great - as a fellow hater of 3d plates, I was astonished that someone went to the effort of getting them then put them on wonky 🙄
Love watching these, cheers Matt. I would really like to see the end result, i.e. how much they sold for etc. if you could ever add this information it would be great :)
This 1 series looks really good in black, it’s also been transformed, and now looks a very appealing prospect😊.
I got a 6 year old used 116i Performance Editon, the 2ltr. 3o,ooo miles from a BMW dealer in 2017 for about 8k. FBMWSH, 12 month warranty, fresh MOT and with a new set of 18" OEM alloy wheels. First car! Only serious issue was new drive shafts due to a corroded ring sensor at 59k miles. Currently on 7ok. It's nothing fancy, but I keep it clean and tidy as I can for a 12 year old car. Last year did a trip across Ireland, 45o miles out of one tank of petrol. Cracking.
You genuinely look after these cars. Would definitely buy from you.
Great work Matt...Yet again another great bit of work turning a tired looking car into a very desirable one and hopefully making between 1.3-1.5k profit...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Good work Matt 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Top class again mat. Your videos are addictive. Love seeing the transformation of the cars you do. Keep it up pal 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Hello guys, how is it going. wellcome back.... I like your start!
Nice, quick turnaround, Matt - with profit too! 👍
great post id deffo buy a used car from matt because hes preps all his used cars to great standard i hope you do more videos of a tour of stock at high peak showroom. 😉
Yes its great value you will make a good profit on this BM W 116 i.
Proud of you
Nice one Matt
Kevin
Great video. Fixed now too. Cars decent and clean, like your fresh shave 😊😎
Steering noise is easy fix...solution from bmw and has to be put it at certain temperature then side to side about 10 times theres plenty of info out there, i did it years ago on my 2005 5 series
Genuinely thought you were in Spain for the first 20 seconds. Seemed way too sunny for the UK. Also the sound is working for me
I think this 1 series has been a real good turn around, good profit (when you sell it) also not that expensive to buy. The car looked really good when finished.
Another great video! I'm still a fairly new driver, could you do a video on how best to find good mechanics / garages?
A very enjoyable video as always! Share a lot of your views about cars. I don’t know if this is the right place for requests but would love to see you review an E63 generation BMW 6! And it would be interesting to see your thoughts on a first generation Tesla Model S as well(since it’s my current daily driver)
These videos are addictive 😅loving the content I’m new to cars and being autistic doesn’t help but like watching your videos to get some knowledge
I really enjoy these videos Matt.
I'm going to pick up a Jag S type at the weekend. Low mileage fully loaded and 5k. So excited!!!!
Very nice. Enjoy
Another great video, Matt. I think I'd have had that seat bolster sorted but, all in all, you got that little beemer looking really smart.
Thanks 👍
Hi Matt, excellent work you've been putting in your videos! I really enjoy watching them! Keep going! Wind deflectors: I am not a super car person, I like originality, however, if you have kids, coming out swimming lessons, you have to open your windows. If it's raining, you have to open as well and, with wind deflectors you don't get water inside and you have air flow! 😁 That's my reason for using them- air flow. Not sure if I can also gain 20hp in my 207sw ! Never thought about it in that way 😅😅 👍👍👍
Another good job and surprised it hasn't already sold.
Had a 60 plate come in last week for heavy steering due to the rack motor packing up. You could start it and it would be fine and next moment you drive it and goes heavy or threw on a Christmas Tree of lights on the dash. Customers bought a second hand one and it was a simple fit and plug and play.
The guys with the knitting needles down the doors do great work you are right -- that dash fix made it look £££'s better
Had a 56 plate 120d back in the day. Hated it, put me off the marque for 15 years. Yours looks better than mine ever did (although I did like the M sport blue paint).
I don't have any problems with audio. Also I own a similar car, from 2005. Can't wait to see this video :)
I liked this the first time around 😉.
Well played, Matt - a win!
Hi Matt, an idea for an interesting video ( I mean, I’d find it interesting, I’m sure others would too) : a round up of your most profitable projects from the “I bought a” , and how that leaderboard changes if you factor in the money made from ad revenue on that particular episode.
I second that! 😁
Love these cheap car vids Matt, even better when you make a decent profit.
Love this kind of cheap cars .keep bring this
What a lovely tidy motor,a quick flip, enjoyed the vid 👌
Thanks 👍
Have a soft spot for the 1 series small compact rear wheel drive car that one turned out very nice happ profit matt 😀👍
Its come up very well, seats look much better than plain leather.
Great result. The dentist did a nice job on the bodywork too.
I used to have 2006 120d automatic with about 260 000 kms on it. Thats car was quick and very reliable.
Great vid as ever. And a good buy, if you can live with the clumsy design and proportions of the car
I love your videos I always watch them before I start work in the morning
Thanks!
Great result Matt!!
You're making my June so much better with all of these uploads! Cheers Matt
Glad to hear it!
Nice one Matt good car good profit on this car .
You deserve it
Kevin from Radcliffe
hi there matt, loving the channel seeing different cars , but i rang the garage last week to ask a few questions about used range rovers since i am looking at upgrading a L322 for a newer L405 and was told you don't deal with them anymore as there is to much trouble with them , i have ran range rovers for 20 years plus so i will continue ( sucker for punishment ) thanks anyway , looking forward to see what you do next on both of your channels , p,s, i also tried raffle shack but was't lucky thanks
The coupe and convertible with the bigger engines are incredible looking cars. A genuinely spiritual successor of the E30 and definitely a future classic if we are allowed to have one. Great review, Matt.
all crap though 😂
@@organiccold the N52, N54,N55 1 series coupes are great cars.
That was real? I saw that movie I thought it was bullshit.
@@rayhan_2k841 great piece of shit haha i have a E39 528i at home i will not trade it for 10 1 series hahah 😂
Hey Matt. Love your work 👍
ahhhh the brand of the two joys :) the joy when you buy it and the joy when you sell it.
Hi Matt, love your show, could you please redo the best cars to buy with the inflated prices under 5k and under 10k thanks in advance.
Off topic I looked at a 3 year old RAV4 and thanks to you I noticed all the front panel gaps were way off. The salesman after BS ing me looked rathe sheepish Keep up the great work - Thanks
Great video HPA,nice car,and not a fortune spent 👌, well done Matt,I apologise their is audio, must of been a glitch 👌👍😀
Thanks 👍
I had 2006 120d, which I bought new. Had it for 9 years and there wasn’t much problem with it. The earth went out twice, and I had to change the turbine once but I got that cheap because of goodwill. Fun little car. 😊
I had a 2007 120D for a similar duration after 2x E46 3 series. I replaced a drive shaft due to rusty speed sensor, a couple of injectors due to leakage causing no start and the final drive was whining a bit when it left me but overall it had been a good car.
@@rhiantaylor3446how much did all those parts etc cost you to fix at the mechanic
Surprised you didn’t fix the drivers seat bolster. That would put me off. Lovely spec 👍👍
Looks superb for 15 years of age. I like that shape & the 1 series.
Hi Matt, love the content, it’s always great, keep it up. How do you source your cars?
Another superb video, cheers Matt
The door rear check strap is a common fault. This is a 1.6 being an b43b16a
Front pdc is a nice option. Rear wiper motors are usually seized solid.
What a great turn-a-round you did Matt! Top job!
Your beard fell off too with the shock of how well you did 😂
😂😂 I know
3D plates 😂😂😂
Generally the only dipstick on these is the driver!
Usual great video Matt, cheers 👍
I’m a bit surprised about the 3D plates. As far as I know they are considered tasteful here in the Netherlands. (Or maybe we all here lack good taste 😂)
I have a 2010 118d which I bought in March 2023 with a 152000 miles on it. I travel the east of the UK as a therapy nurse. It’s not missed a beat it now has 162350 miles full service history, very economical and cheap to tax. For work this is a fun hard working car.
Nice but id get the chain done if you want it to last. You're deep in grenade territory with that milage (assuming on the original chain)
Matt, love the videos, but……both sets of keys!! 4 are a rarity! Plus wonder van?
Looked like a bluetooth USB adapter plugged into aux audio socket behind handbrake. I recall a Car mag review of the E30 back in the day and the comment that the extra cost of a BMW provides better build quality that probably the only second or third owner would really benefit from.
Definitely with you on the number plates
Excellent Work Lad
Thought you had come across a little bag of the green stuff when you opened that compartment 😂
The seatbelt warning is usually dirt on the sensor. A blast of contact cleaner will resolve this for good……..or until it gets more lint on it
Really enjoy watching all your videos, great job.
Glad you like them!
Still love these cheap car videos, the jeopardy is always entertaining. Nice car, well worth saving. Respect for your level of prep even at this price point
Thanks 👍
@HighPeakAutos these were horrible cars then and now. I totally agree about 3D plates
They're Dampers, I hate calling them shocks!! 😮😊
You've done well on that, nice car.
Those seats have always reminded me of a sainsbury employee's jacket.
I’m with you on the plates. They just scream loud exhaust, wind deflectors and driving too fast in the town centre
I have a 118d sport, never missed a beat.
To my knowledge all models had a DTC button. The 6 speed gearbox came with the LCI around 2006, also for all models.
my 2004 E87 1 series 118d M47 engine has a 6 speed box..
@@HandHabenpetrols had a 5 speed box. I have an LCI 06 petrol and it’s got a 6 speed box.
@@HandHaben Maybe the diesels all have a 6 speed box?
Solid car and worth what you are asking all day long, plenty of years life left in it
another great video matt. love the 1 series i drove one as a company car for a local bmw dealer back in 2006. can you do a skoda fabia mk2 1.2 tsi on your channel please be good ive got a skoda fabia i can lend you should you buy a used skoda fabia 1.2 tsi if you like
Great video. Subscribed.
There's a recall on the power steering for these but you would have to check if its affected.
Just finished the video on the 3 series and then this pops us Love it.
Thanks!
Great presentation Matt.... I'm not looking for a new car just a big Isuzu D-Max 4x4..... I live in the country and no one round here drives Rangerovers just Rangers and D-Max's
So interested if you have done a feature on one or have one to sell
I’m with you about those pony number plates! Chavtastic! 🤞🏻hopefully a tidy profit on this one Matt 👍🏻
Fingers crossed!
Hello Matt, I don’t like those cars, but you made a good job of it and it’s good content for your growing channel.
Thank you for taking the time to upload another video . Ged
Great video! Do you get a better deal being in the trade on the mechanics, dent guy, wheel guy etc…I live down south and have done most of the things you do to my car and I seem to be paying way more!
The BMW Golf, much favoured as the car to buy with savings from your first job, or so it seems. Me thinks that scrunched front alloy is somehow related to why it's had spray can paint on the same side...? Grubby seats for McD takeaway spills, but 1 series owners trackie bottoms or shorts don't wear out the upholstery...
loads of phantom lights with this era BMW Matt, All models as far as I can remember.
I'm from the Netherlands, now i'm wondering why this numberplate is'n good or the some letters or combination. I hear it quite often.
Keep up the good work!
Always nice videos! Greetings from Sweden
Glad you like them!
A win, well done Matt, think I finally deducted what your watch is, a Rolex Explorer 2?
My 2019 118i was a pathetic 1.5 3 cylinder turbo and that was a 6 speed manual...it was as basic as they came but it was fun in the Scottish winters 🤣🤣
I’ve always fancied a 1 series, it would have to be a diesel but pre dpf. I had the predecessor the e46 compact 2.0d and loved it (I sold it to get an Alfa 156 2.4 jtd)
It was a fun little car but I had endless problems with the AC.
My mate had a 1 series 118d and it was very nippy indeed. They’re nimble little cars and have a great chassis.
You worked your magic on this one 👌🏼 You are so correct about those hideous chavvy number plates 🤮
Yes, the seat occupancy sensor. Replace it now or get a dummy sensor.
A quick clean and a buff
Great job. I would be great to also repair the steering wheel, which also transforms a car 😅
Judging by the front n/s rim a set of kerb sensors would have been useful.👍
