@@henryhawk978 I probably rode by it once when I did the Cascades, but I stayed in Gran Coulee that day. In fact, I believe that day was the day I took the photo that's the logo for this channel (and my avatar). A silhouette at sunset. I checked it out on google maps. Looks like a good place to stay (affordable rates, too).
This episode wasn't chock full of killer twisties, but I thought it was a good day's ride. Especially at the El Rancho. For the record, I had 3 Kirk Douglases and that may have affected my enjoyment level.
Arizona is one of the 8 states of the lower 48 that I've never ridden my bike in. But I have ridden my semi in the 48. Very nice the scenery Monument Valley and the canyons. Appreciate showing the Elrancho Hotel. Enjoyed the video, Curt and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE! Food looked yummy!
l love the El Rancho . Discovered it 10 years ago riding from VA to CA. Decided to fit in some of Rte 66, since I never had and it's right on it in Gallup, NM and was a great stopped point for one day on the trip. I've wanted to go back ever since. I had a great time on this trip. Parts of AZ are great. Most of the rest of the trip will be in AZ. For various reasons, I didn't do some parts that I know are really great, but I did some new ones and many of them were worth the time. Coming soon... on Ride On. 😆
What places have you stayed that you absolutely can't wait to get back to?
I really like Winthrop, Washington. The Virgian Motel. Rustic nothing fancy

@Ride_0n East 20 Pizza in Winthrop, Washington is in my opinion a great place to eat. Italian food, wine and cold local brews. Beautiful Twisp River.
that tesla truck sure looked like it didn't belong there! :)
You got that right! First one I'd ever seen in person. He couldn't find parking. And I'm not sure he knew how to park it, either. lol.
I have driven many of these roads in a truck with my family. All scenic and interesting. Thanks!
