The AE86 and even some AE85s were totally rad. But the problem with Toyota trying to make the new Corollas cool again is that no real enthusiast wants a FWD platform, at least not for drifting. Make the Corollas a RWD platform again and it might catch on like the good 'ol days. Til then, we'll just keep scooping up all the Truenos and Levins.

Grant .Pantling that car is sweet, but totally different from the old AE's. I'd like to see the Corallas, specifically, go from grocery getter back to badass hatch with RWD

To Mr. Aasbo: I love you so god damn much, bro. So many people hate you, because you drive a mom car, but I think you turned that thing into one of the coolest machines on FD circuits. Thank you for inspiring us all with you Corolla awesomeness.
Thanks man! The car build is not me, though, it's the Papadakis Racing boys that built it. My input is mainly with the steering setup and obviously driving position. But we have great team spirit and bounce ideas off of each other all the time, super proud of getting to work with them!

I was impressed by Aasbo's detailed tech knowledge about his car. A lot of drivers seem kind of clueless about their cars. I'd like to here more of that kind of stuff in future videos.

My mom has the european hybrid version of the Corolla IM, called Toyota Auris. Eversince she got it I've been thinking: This needs a nice turbo motor and a proper gearbox and this guys kind of did it.

Dark Nite I think something similar to a D1 Street Legal series for FD would be pretty cool
i think there should be more limits to pro 2 and not just towards power? i dont think there should be another series within fd when there are other feeder competitions such as lone star drift etc that can feel the void of whatever low powered cars etc
Henry Ing i think they should do 1/4 mile passes and rank them biased on time. I say 1/4 mi. Because most drifts dont really require anything past 3rd gear so it would be an easy way to even things out?
but drifting has never really been a timed event unless with the teams having to repair there cars within 5 mins etc. so that wouldnt really work i think what you said sounds more like drag racing then drifting wouldnt really entertain the fans either
Henry Ing im not saying its drag racing. Im saying if you guys keep up with eachother in the 1/4 then your cars are the same and you qualify for a certain type like pro2 and shit. Because I seen cars struggle to keep up with slow cars because they have so much power so by doing a 1/4 mi youd see whose cars are close when it comes to it
