  • Watch a $17,000 Technogym Skillrun Unity 7000 commercial treadmill unboxing and assembly for home use at my house. I chose this treadmill because it can go up to 18.6 mph (30 kph), and today it finally arrived. You can watch with me as four guys unload it and bring in all the boxes, and an expert puts it all together.
    This video compresses the best parts of almost 2 hours of work into 12 minutes. I hope you like it.
    Thanks for watching, and keep walking, running, or sprinting!

    • @TreadmillSprinter

      Yes, Yousef, it's the same kind of surface made with rubber slats that use ball-bearings to make it smooth and relatively quiet. I've tried running on it barefoot, and it felt pretty good even though I wasn't used to running barefoot.

    How are the touch screen controls? Has it ever jammed up and is it pretty consistent on how hard you press the keys? I was told by the rep it's 10 HP and runs on 240? Did they put a 5 HP in yours? Last but not least you got a coupon code lol.

    • @TreadmillSprinter
      @TreadmillSprinter  3 года назад

      Hi, Roger! I don't think my touch screen controls have ever locked up or glitched, but touching requires a minimum length of time, like half a second maybe, and sometimes I tap faster than the minimum and it won't work, so I'll to touch it again. Nothing requires a hard push, though. All Skillruns including mine have a 10 HP motor. In the U.S., they usually use 120 volts, like mine does. I'm sure they sell 240 volt versions in Europe, but those would also be designed for 50 Hz, not the 60 Hz we use in the U.S. And yep, I got a very nice discount!

      @@rogerkuniski6299 I know the parachute kit can be added to the Unity 5000, but I don't know if it can be added to the TX 500. May sure you ask before you buy, since that's important to you. Best wishes!

    Are you in Maryland? I live in Northern Virginia .
    I want to find your video on non motorized treadmills.
    I bought the peloton tread but they’ve been canceling the delivery so many times, and hear about many issues with the tread and long air it get it fixed. Now I am back searching for a treadmill. Maybe a used woodway, with an iPad for classes. Still very expensive.

    • @TreadmillSprinter
      @TreadmillSprinter  3 года назад +1

      Hi ViVi, I have not made that video yet, but I can provide some links to help your search. I am not able to make videos very fast, and I have a long list of videos to make.
      Here is a sample inexpensive, straight-incline manual treadmill
      for about $150: www.amazon.com/Stamina-InMotion-Manual-Treadmill-Pewter/dp/B004510DF2. My impression is that this kind functions, but not good quality.
      Here are several curved, slat-belt manual treadmills, which cost thousands, but seem to be very high quality with very long warranties. A major difference seems to be how much they curve, but I don't yet know the advantages or disadvantages of steep vs. shallow curves. I plan to find out so I can include that when I make my video on manual treadmills:
      Technogym Skillmill: www.technogym.com/us/line/skillmill
      Woodway Curve: www.woodway.com/products/curve/
      TrueForm: trueformrunner.com/collections/treadmills

      Assault Fitness AssaultRunner: www.assaultfitness.com/products/treadmill

      Also, I lived in Northern Virginia for many years, but now live near Ruckersville, Virginia, about a 2-hour drive from NoVa.

      Thanks for the links . Today I tried a curved Xebex treadmill when I went to try an used woodway .the feeling of the non motorized curved Xebex was very interesting and it moves really fast, I think one needs to be very attentive and have good balance, which can be a good thing. But I am going with the used Motorized woodway. It is very heavy but it feels great to walk or run on it.
      I forgot to say. Thanks for your video. Thanks for sharing this experience. As I watched it I felt anxious ( in a good way) and excited for you. May it bring much health and happiness to you.
      I am finding your videos very enjoyable and informative, thanks for making them, I know it is a lot of work.

    • @TreadmillSprinter
      @TreadmillSprinter  3 года назад

      Hi Ben No, and thanks for the reply. If it was an inexpensive piece of equipment, I probably would've done something like that, but with this machine costing so much, I wanted to make certain I didn't do anything to void any part of the warranty, including the touch screen. I didn't get a document from Technogym about their approved cleaning and sanitizing until I'd had my Skillrun about a month. Also, the more excited I am, the less clearly I tend to think, and at the time my Skillrun was delivered, I was extremely excited. As for their instructions, they are fairly generic, as you suggested, but for the screen it says that alcohol should be watered down 50/50 and never sprayed directly onto the screen, but onto a cloth, "so that drips do not seep inside the display or stain the bezel." I think my family may be overcautious for my sake, but so far we have avoided getting Covid, so their efforts have worked so far.
