Treadmill Sprinter
США
Добавлен 23 июн 2020
I’m over 60 and I’m disabled from dementia, but I can run 17 mph. I think I can run even faster, and during 2021, I hope to finally discover exactly how fast I can run!
My name's John Lambert, I’m a treadmill sprinter, and I love treadmill exercise to help improve my health, including my mental health. I also compete in track meets, with my first-ever track meet at age 60, when I ran the 60-meter hurdles fast enough to earn All-American for Males 60-64, and I ran the 60-meter dash in 9.77 seconds. You can read more about me in this Runner's World article: bit.ly/2PpvvXE
I’m also fortunate enough to own a new Technogym Skillrun Unity 7000, the best treadmill ever made, with adaptive cardio running, sled training for strength, parachute training for acceleration, advanced biofeedback, cadence training, and much more.
I love treadmill running and sprint HIIT, and with my Skillrun treadmill's top speed of 18.6 mph (30 kph), I'm going to find out if I can run that fast!

10 Hour 4K Virtual Run: High School Track Lap
Enjoy a 4K virtual run around a scenic high school track for as long as you want, from a 100 meter sprint, all the way up to a 10-hour ultra marathon, and never get rained on!
The average pace during recording was 1 minute and 50 seconds per lap (7'20 per mile, 4'33 per kilometer), and the average speed was 8.18 mph and 13.17 kph. You can speed up or slow down the virtual pace or speed by changing the playback speed of the video. If you run for 10 hours at 8.18 mph, you'll run 81.8 miles (131.7 kilometers).
You can just play the video at the standard speed regardless of the speed you walk or run, but if you want to change the playback speed, here are the approximate equivalent paces and run...

I had prostate surgery on 3 December 2021, and recovery took a lot longer than expected. I have an enlarged prostate, also called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), which makes it harder and harder to empty my bladder as it gets bigger, and I had a Rezūm procedure to shrink it down some. In this video, I talk about the problem, the procedure, and my recovery. LINKS Treadmill Sprinter on Master...

Treadmill Sprinter: Exercise for Life
Keep up the running.
Lots of good information but did not mention the length and width of the belt... which is what I was really looking for. But thanks for everything else!
Thank you so much for this detailed video. It has helped me make an informed decision before my purchase
So what is best for weight lose exercise?
Great explanation 👌
You mean 2406 and 2501 code😮
Race walkers can't walk faster than a sprinter
I tried this treadmill for the first time today at my gym in sled mode. Thank you for the video, this will most definitely help me with attempting para mode. Great effort by the way.
Finally I feel okay about jogging slower than my walking speed. Thank you for making this video.
This is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep it up. People like me need you.
Hi John, hope you're well. All the best!
Crystal clear explanation ❤
Great video thanks. Tell me, taking out impact, for calories burning, is it better to walk at 4km per hour for an hour, or jog at 8km per hour for a half an hour?
best video I've seen on this subject in the internet. Technical, clear n understandable.
Why doesn't she love me anymore
Hello John, no more videos on your treadmill? Going fine?
I followed your videos from researching this brand. I just hope you’re doing OK and in good health. I like your videos a lot.
that jogging at 6.5kph, make me feel like pro-runner
You still love your technogym? Any issues?
Best video on the matter on RUclips.
Can you add the youtube tile on it?
Wow, Thank’s for the excellent video 😊 The Lord’s love + grace be with you Hope you are all well and resting in Jesus saving love + grace 😊 Blessings friends 😊
John 3 verse 16 ^_^ please search the Gospel (Bible) all who read this. Your soul is far to precious to gamble in thinking there is no hell or need for salvation in The Lord Jesus Blessings friends ^_^
I can see this treadmill gives you so much joy! You’re like a little kid so happy when you get to do your exercises on the treadmill.
If Amazon had samples of you running at various speeds like this… people can better decide on the type of treadmill they want. Thanks for posting this! Appreciate it.
I am 61 years old and can still do six minute miles my question today is am i in a position to question a lot of stuff this guy is saying or going by the comments just keep my face shut lol.
Wow, Logan, that's world-class for your age group in Masters Athletics! Way to go!
Whats the name of the trademil that you are using in the video?
Hi Sami, it's the Skillrun, made by Technogym.
The footsteps sound so cute 😊❤
hello, I hope you are feeling better, I saw on the technogym site a new interface for skillrun, do you know if it is possible to obtain this update?
Hi ricotb69, I haven't seen any major changes on mine. I just went to the Skillrun web page and the video looks like the screen is in the Bootcamp mode. See ruclips.net/video/-GtK4IsUrmY/видео.htmlsi=mv_11H4v9YCWGnPP&t=678
What is running lowest speed .
It varies from person to person, and is the slowest you can go while still having both feet off the ground at the same time for at least a moment.
This is one of the most clearest explanations I have come across. Turns out o have been sprinting all this time instead of running 😂😆
I love sprinting
What about horsepower? How much horsepower should it have?
Hi, I don't think I've ever seen treadmills advertise horsepower. Horsepower will determine how fast it will go for a certain body weight, and mostly they advertise their top speed and maximum user weight instead of horsepower.
@@TreadmillSprinter Hi, oh ok thank you 👍
In olympic march they flies many times. See in slow motion...the two feet simultaneously.
I think leg angle is what differentiates jogging from running. Sprinting would be faster running above the aerobic threshold.
Hi, I've never heard of leg angle being used to differentiate between jogging and running before, but that's an interesting idea!
Nice,Request like this but it's a sled push please.
Hi, I'll try to remember your request when I finally get back into making videos.
This is exactly the video I was searching for. Thanks!
Try running on your toes, also work on something called ground contact time. It helps me run to 36kph. Cya when I sign up for onlympics
Cool video! Would be interesting to see the setup that goes into making such a sequence.
Hi, StarNone! I just used a GoPro Karma Grip and held it while I ran. I ran well over a lap so I could try to find a good transition point to make it as smooth as possible, and ended up using different transition points for the audio and video.
Thank you so much!!!
You're very welcome, Ktoo!
thank you for this video!
You're very welcome, Ioana!
@1:38 guy on the right looks like he has both feet off the ground, technique must be hard.
I sure wouldn't want to be a race judge, because it seems really hard to tell sometimes. Plus, I read that in longer racewalks, most competitors have both feet off the ground occasionally by accident, which I guess is easy to do when you're pushing yourself to the limit. The article also said judges tend to overlook close calls for a few steps, and only call a penalty if it becomes obvious and for too many steps.
@@TreadmillSprinter So they call it like the NBA calls travelling then haha.
Entertainment option should be the least consideration when choosing your treadmill. For example, you would pay about $300 for an acceptible 11 inch tablet for casual use. If you compare the specs and performance, I doubt there will be be anything comparable when it comes to flat screen that came with the treadmill. In other you will be wasting your money and you will kicking your self for buying such option.
I agree, Raymond, unless the build-in entertainment comes with the treadmill you want for its other features, or because of features that sync with the treadmill. The only reason I bought a Skillrun was because of it's top speed, and I got the 7000 model because I thought I might make good use of the parachute belt. Plus, the Skillrun's screen software has a lot of workout programs that sync with the speed and incline, which a separate tablet is unlikely to do.
You bought a machine that was ripped off from Woodway in design and function. I have been working on Woodways for 12 years and they are the best. We have a few pieces of technogym equipment and they have been junk for that same 12 years. From what I remember Woodway fought this company in court over the nockoff design but because of a few small differences technogym got away with the theft. I hope your treadmill lasts but from what I've seen, that company makes junk.
I run in one hour 13 km
Wow! Way to go, Jakub!
Hi John! Good morning and thanks for responding to my comments.Don't worry much about age ,speed etc and even all those details, but still your enthusiasm to do what you are doing and the will to be more helpful to all people concerned is greatly appreciated. Hope and wish you will get over your technical problems in near future. Wish you all the best in all your future endeavours! Thanks once again, take care! Have a blessed future.😀🙌🙋🌹🌹🌹
You are fabulous! Thank you for your detailed review of high end treadmills!
You're very welcome, Sarah!
Are you still around! I do All of them but mainly jogging ! Running is a part of my life which is enjoyed by me very much. I wish good luck to all you athletes! Greetings from Colombo Sri Lanka with love to all the people of good WILL!....😀🙌🙋🌹🌹🌹
Hi, Mohan! Greeting to you and everyone in Sri Lanka!! I am still around as in still alive, but not still around making videos right now because my computer crashed, causing huge problems. I lost my video editing software and have not been able to get back the old one, and although I've tried some free ones, I have not been able to learn them well. Best wishes, and keep moving!
The simulator's operation with real sound was not shown, but how to understand whether it works quietly or not, such as noise is not important, FOR the TREADMILL CLIENT, THE NOISE FROM the simulator is IMPORTANT and it should be compared with other models. The problem of all the tracks is a knock when running and the neighbors get terribly annoyed, and you have 3 parts of the video, you didn't show anything about noise.
Hi Pier, I'm not sure what you mean by "simulator" and I'm sorry I didn't cover the noise level like you wanted, but this is one of three videos focused exclusively on the treadmill's console. I have many other videos that show me walking or running that show how loud it is at various speeds, both running without me, and me running on it so you can hear how loud my footfalls are. Also, I have no other treadmills to compare the noise level to, although some of my earliest videos show me on older treadmills in the same room. Best wishes, John
