The black (over)spray paint tip is great! Something you might also consider is leather dyes. They can work really well on wood and they mix up into just about any colour you could ever want.
You might want to try keeping a black stain around. Mixed in low proportion with the other stain, it will darken it, but the shade will be more controllable and the application more even.
Yea, I am about maxed for space. I plan to get a few small colored stains. I have got to find a darker brown for sure. I have every color that my local store carries.
Over the weekend, this video stayed in my mind and I made something similar, but gaming related. I've only had my laser set up a very short time and I'm learning as I go, but I am SO proud of how it turned out! I can't wait to make some more! Thank you!
Word of mouth is THE BEST advertising. I give those customers that send me other customers NFC business cards. That way they can keep the one I give them, but share all my details with an ∞ amount of other prospective customers. Great project
Will there be expansion rails for the A70 when it comes out? Look forward to your videos on this. I just recently started cutting with my Roly and was pleasantly surprised how well a diode cuts.
Nice video. One thing I really liked that you probably didn't think about is what script font you used. I have been looking for a nice, "weldable" script font. I just downloaded that one. I would be interested, and I assume other too, to hear what your favorite fonts are to use in laser projects. Thanks again for all the effort you put into your channel as well as your LEO service!
My taste in fonts can differ from the customers. I usually let them pick but some customers just have me pic. It depends on the theme or flavor of the project.
Great video, great project. I’m surprised more people don’t paint the material first then do the laser cutting but I’m somewhat new to laser cutting. Seems like a no brainer to me but maybe I’m not thinking correctly. Any comments about this?
I see a WeCreat in the background. Do you have a review video on it? That is the one I am thinking of purchasing. I'm a home hobbyist and not after a side hustle.
Hi, what kind of camera do you use for the Atomstack X 40. I have the laser S40, almost the same with a great surface and I don't find an adapted camera for this big surface of work. Can you help me please ? It will be nice. Thanks
I am not familiar with LB. But I am wondering why you couldn’t just select the name #1, copy, paste, then select the name, backspace and type new name and done. ? Won’t it do that?
Nice project. What is the size of the finished piece, or what size was the board before cutting? Thank you. I’m trying to find out the size the X40 can handle actually.
and equally important how much time would be in this if you were not simultaneously making a video for our education and entertainment? I'm guessing pushing 2 hours for a one off piece such as this one.

Great project
Couldn't agree more!
You are running the same speed on that as I am on a 80 watt CO2! You may have sold me on the Atomstack. I enjoy all your videos!! Keep em coming
Wait until my A70 gets here... 30 more watts of power.
Will there be expansion rails for the A70 when it comes out? Look forward to your videos on this. I just recently started cutting with my Roly and was pleasantly surprised how well a diode cuts.
@@67taylor94 it comes as 850x850 in the Max format
Looks great! Thanks for the black paint tip!
It’s not ideal but works in a pinch..
Nice! Thanks for the video. Great music too!😅
Thanks, glad you liked it

where is that cat going. Busy little beaver
They stay on the move..
Nice
Thanks
very nice
Thanks
Have you used a slightly inset on the bottom layer?
You can, preference
What wood did you use for that and how thick is it. Thanks love the content.
It’s 4.5mm luan from hardware store. Sold as 1/4 inch
Do you treat your plywood with any kind of prestain or wood conditioner when you stain?
No.
Great Idea and fairly easy Project...you might try Minwax Special Walnut (oil based), been using it for years very rich dark brown.
I do need to find something darker. At least a small can.
Great video, great project. I’m surprised more people don’t paint the material first then do the laser cutting but I’m somewhat new to laser cutting. Seems like a no brainer to me but maybe I’m not thinking correctly. Any comments about this?
Just don’t want the gasses from burning paint to mess with the lens, also you can get discolored paint around the cut and have to paint again.
I see a WeCreat in the background. Do you have a review video on it? That is the one I am thinking of purchasing. I'm a home hobbyist and not after a side hustle.
I did a review and you should be able to search the videos. It’s not a bad machine so far but the software is very limiting.

I use this camera on all my enclosures, they work great no matter the bed size at least up to 850x450. amzn.to/48woVSf
OK thank you very much 👍
Is that 1/4 inch baltic birch?
No, 1/4 inch Luan
I just did one for a graduation
They sell like hot cakes here around graduation

I guess you could. But copy and paste are two clicks. New text bad is one. It’s just my way..

Finished 30 1/2 ", stock was 17.5x35
@@TheClackShackthank you, I rewatched to get the sizes. Nice size sign.
How do you apply the poly? Brush, spray, etc? Thanks
Rattle can
@@TheClackShack thanks
What do you sell them for??? 🤷🏼♂️
Typically around $50 finished with hanging brackets. Some folks just want the parts to DIY their own.
What do these sell for approx
Depends on the design but usually around $50
What do you charge?
$45 on this one. It depends on how much design work they take and material / time for the build.
@@TheClackShack I was thinking around $50. You have inspired make a few as gifts for friends and family.
and equally important how much time would be in this if you were not simultaneously making a video for our education and entertainment? I'm guessing pushing 2 hours for a one off piece such as this one.
My 2 cents: You used spray paint on the middle name, why not use a brown spray paint on the first name also?
Because the customer wanted those colors. One name white, one name stained dark brown.
I see a WeCreat in the background. Do you have a review video on it? That is the one I am thinking of purchasing. I'm a home hobbyist and not after a side hustle.
It has limitations. Mostly the software. I did a video on the machine. Should be searchable on my channel.
@@TheClackShack Now that it can connect with Lightburn, does that take away the software limitations?
@@familybaker6391 I have not seen where it can connect. Importing GCode is not the same. I plan to test it when they get it lightburn compatible
