I know all Supertramps’ biggest hits but this song is far superior! Sad I didn’t find it sooner. My dad played it for me on our stereo a few months ago. He kind of swore off 70s/80s music when I was younger cause he got so tired of most of it
This is the first Supertramp song that I ever heard - and I was immediately hooked. I am 68 years old & have been listening to ST for well over 50+ years. My favorite song is "Crime of the Century", love the saxophone 🎷👍🏻
Iam 65 mate and have been listen as well, that song never grows old, just love the guitar as well. Still have the album on a cassette tape that i bought in 76'.
Drummer was always in deep pocket, fast and complex..Bob Seinberberg was absolutely an insane strong, classic drummer..he never got the credit, but all drummers knows how good he was..what a beast behind drums they had
I was incredibly lucky to see them play in Vancouver with my mother many years ago! I feel very fortunate to have had the experience to see them live! Amazing band! Music is an immeasurable pleasure to us in this realm!
An older cousin introduced me to Paris when it came out - cassette tape - and I was hooked. This has to be one of their top five songs and what a bass line
I was around through the 70's & while they were great, Supertramp weren't a band everyone was talking about at School/College. Its ridiculous how many good bands were about back then.
I can see you in the morning when you go to school Don't forget your books, you know you've got to learn the golden rule Your teacher tells you stop your playing, get on with your work And be like Johnnie-Too-good, don't you know he never shirks He's coming along After school is over, you're playing in the park Don't be out too late, don't let it get too dark They tell you not to hang around and learn what life's about And grow up just like them, won't you let it work it out And you're full of doubt Don't do this and don't do that What are they trying to do? (Make a good boy of you) And do they know where it's at? Don't criticize, they're old and wise Do as they tell you to Don't want the devil to Come and put out your eyes Maybe I'm mistaken expecting you to fight Or maybe I'm just crazy, I don't know wrong from right But while I'm still living, I've just got this to say It's always up to you if you want to be that Want to see that, want to see that way You're coming along Auteurs : Richard Davies / Roger Hodgson
I became a fan with Crime of the Century album. Got to see them in Los Angeles at the Fabulous Forum for the Breakfast in America tour. The opening song was “School” and they set it up perfectly with a POV video of boarding a train and it picking up speed leading into the song.
At least you could do is be honest and say that you dubbed the audio from The '75 Hammersmith Odeon concert released on The Crime of The Century Deluxe Release with footage from the '79 Paris Concert Footage since the '75 Hammersmith show that was filmed has not been officially released in any video format as of yet (even though the footage exists).
I was at the Hammersmith gig (1975 I think). It was a very subdued affair. They just stood there and played COTC perfectly. Not sure this is that gig. Great song from a great album though.
I never get tired of this MASTERPIECE!!!
This is still my favorite Supertramp song, years and years later. Wish they were still around.
Those keyboard rifts in this song are some of my favorite riffs of all time... I Love the band!
Ace! Crime of the Century was a superb album, and School was the standout track.
One of the most incredible songs I ever heard
Hope you got the full, true meaning of it. There was a warning there! That most totally miss.

Rick Davies, Roger Hodgson - Two genius musicians backed by extraordinary talent - 'School' and 'Rudy' were THE PEAK
Great song. One of my favourite bands in the 70s.
I was there... a memorable night
Saw them in Toronto in 78. Unfuckingbelievable.
Crime of the Century is simply a masterpiece...
NO backing tracks! No click tracks! Just multi instrumental vocalist humans performing a masterpiece LIVE!! Thank You!
Man, criminally under appreciated.

Some of the best keyboarding, ever!
They're coming along...
School is such an under rated classic, even as a deep cut. I always love hearing it.
THESE GENTLEMEN ROCK!
That "haunting harmonica harmony" intro......plus the rest of this classic live, loud and on my screen. Thank you heaps.

Shivers and goosebumps with that harmonica intro...
It almost make me cry.i saw there last Canadian tour like that with the umbrella.they were tight and the music was almost heavenly
There will not be another band like Supertramp, neither in this decade nor in any future one.
Efectivamente!🙋🇦🇷

Great number, so dynamic, excellently performed. I still have the LP.
Supertramp were unrecognized for being a top band, they were friggen good.
There are so many different voices. ☀

Incredible musicianship! All in a live performance, too!
Been way to long since hearing School. Time to dig the turntable out of storage and put it to good use playing these old classics.
Bought my stereo to this song.
Yamaha amp
JVC turntable
Genesis speakers
Blew the guy away at Audio Genesis. He was awestruck.
this album is a masterpiece, was able to see Supertramp in Seattle, Paramont theater , um 1976 I think.. amazing
