This song is one of my favorites. To me it's rather mysterious, but I love it. I must have played a thousand times. I saw them in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1982 (or 83 ?). A perfect show. I still put their albums on my pick up player. I am 65 now, I think, music from those years are the best!
I am 57 now and remember their classic songs when I was 10 and up! My brother is a little older and had all their albums. We had so much variety and talent back in the day. I have noticed many younger generations are discovering these classics that will continue to live well beyond this ONE HIT WONDER AGE!
Stationed in Germany 1979 went to Frankfurt festahalle to see Supertramp one of the best concerts I've ever been to.Still to this day I listen to them in Awe such music geniuses.

All radio dj's use to have a half dozen tracks to cover a loo trip, meatloaf, bat out of hell, Stairway to heaven etc, but for some reason this did not seem to make any of their lists.
Most radio stations play mediocre music. Pop and rock (not jazz or fusion, which are now better and more varied than ever) are mostly mediocre since the last seventies. They have become repeated formulas without any artistic pulsion. There's a lot of good contemporary music today, but for the most part it is not in the pop or rock camp.
I heard" gimme a little bit" a couple of years ago and I love how close to the Creator of the universe this band is , but not in a "religious" category. Wow!
I’m not exactly young 45 now but I was born when they were making breakfast in America so I am definitely a different generation acknowledging their greatness.
