I caught up for lunch with a buddy, Phil Judd, who was in Wellington performing with his band Split Enz from Auckland. Our own band was happening and we had connected - similar musical tastes. We spent most of the time talking about 'Crime of the Century' which had come out the previous week and set a whole new benchmark for us . . . one of the first 'post-Beatles' groups to really come up with something special. 'In the Quietest Moments' is still a bit of a masterpiece for me - this album still stands up - Supertramp were amazing, and perhaps a bit underrated?
You can be sure that there is someone in Brazil right now listening to Supertramp. And that someone is me.
Olá Ricardo, tudo jóia? Seja bem-vindo ao canal! 👊😎
Sou filho do puro e, bom e, velho rock'n'roll. Anos 60/70/80.
E eu... e eu... e eu...
@@ricardomaranhaodeloyolarez3990 A isso chamamos BOM GOSTO!!!!! Salve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
51 and proud to have listened to Supertramp in the 80’s and still do now!
This reminds me of a post, the gentleman said"I'd rather be 20 in the 70s, then 70 in the 20's"
I was 17...I remember all of their Music, still enjoying it to this Day
Rick Davies + Roger Hodgson
Just perfection !!
Not anymore, they hate each other now!
@@Letmetrytoo I don't think so... How do you know that? On two tracks of "Some things never change" they even started a small collaboration again. Don't think that since then their relationship changed that much.
Cara Teresa io ascoltavo questa band a 14 anni mentre fumavo ciao e baci
Saw This Stellar Band 2 Nites in a row At The Fabulous Forum In LA!!! Simply Stellar!!! Then At The LA Sports Arena all In The 70s!!!i Incredible!!!! Then Went To See Roger as a Solo Artist and his Band in1998 and Saw and met him in The Parking Lot at The Galaxy Concert Theater!!! In Santa Ana Cal , turned around after getting out of My Car and there he was all by himself walking thru the parking Lot, I yelled out Roger and scared him! And said Hi !! It was Me and My Wife!! And I said I saw Supertramp at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium!! Then he walked over to Us!!! He was so Nice and ShookOur Hands and said ThankYou!!!! Will never forget how Nice He was After I sacred Heckout Of Him, And Then He Thanked Us for coming to see him! A Way Cool Guy!!!
😅 Thanks for sharing ☺️🙏🏻.
The title track is in my opinion one of the best songs that Supertramp wrote in their entire carreer
What a great growing up Music of the 70s keeps on giving
The excellence of the the music matches the purity, crispness and brilliance of the album cover. Even in the Quietest moments . A majestic piece of work. Timeless music.

First one is "Give A Little Bit" :)
I grew up with Supertramp too
Sounds for all generation brilliant songs in ROCK. To listen and enjoy songs and learn.
I saw them live in Paris in November 1979........absolutely brilliant!!!
An album that stretched my imagination a work of genius and so absorbing . Makes me cry with beautiful emotion and saved my very sanity .
Hard to imagine what my thinking would be if I hadn't been exposed to these kinds of influences in my youth. Still emotionally strong whenever I return to them.
I have a clear memory of listening to this as a 16 year old over at my brother’s place when it first came out in ‘77. Loved it then and now.
I'm with these two.☝Such a great, unique group. Played acoustic git and sang in multiple bands back in the 80s and we often did, Give A Little Bit. I can't even come CLOSE to hittin' those high harmonies, anymore. Hah!
This is what I listened to when I was 12-13yo. Sitting dead center of my quadrophonic stereo system, completely engulfed by the sounds of such great music.
This group, so many memories, first concert in 1982 in the southwest in Dax with Chris de Burgh in the first part and Joe Cocker in the second
I had this album when I was theenager..It' s a marvelous piece of album!!!😊
40 años llevo escuchando esta maravilla de álbum
Ya somos dos.SUPERTRAMP POR SIEMPRE
Purchased this album in 1977 :)
EXCELENTE"!!
Thanks for bringing back some memories about vinyl. Nice guitar collection and view too. Peace Brother
😊🙏
77 was my 2nd year in the Marine Corps down at Lejuene. One of the best summers of my life, picked up a brand new 77 Honda 750 from a Marine in our company that was getting out. This album was a major player at all the parties, bodies strewn all over the floor, beer cans/bottles everywhere. We just knew we were going to live forever. Damn, we were young and dumb!
😀👏👏👏👏
A superb album in very good quality
Yes we have a winner magic album so mellow I remember that 40yrs I'm still listening LOL 😆 ❤
Great ! This is the original sound ! yes ! i wish i could be in the room listening to all kinds of Rock ! I used to have all that ! bying albums when they came out ! That was my era ! i m 67 now and retired ! starting to practice on my casio piano and Korg BX3 organ 1979 analog wheel clone ! ya baby ! lol ! it s the clone of the Hammond B3 ! 😎
Gracias.
just can't get enough since I was a kid!
That's a view and a half. Lovely colours, both inside and outside.
missed the quietest moments at Vancouver,b,c,. 1977, stayed home and smoked honey oil, and listened to all the albums n blew the roof off the pacific Penthouse!! God loves us.the music tells us this!!! :)
Excellent sound quality. Thanks for sharing this great album.
My pleasure 😊🙏
Phenomenal. Can’t believe so few views. Thanks for these very special songs.
Glad you like them!
I'm with you 💯, billnah. It's very disappointing. 😢
I got to say, when it comes to Supertramp, especially Rodger Hodgson, it's hard to pick a favorite song.
Jeez, Yes, i agree, but his solo material is even better than his Suprtramp stuff, he,s just 'off the scale' brilliant.
Awesome music, .WILL NEVER BE DONE AGAIN. GREAT VIBES.🤩👍
It does not need to be done again. Classics NEVER do. Thanks for your remarks. 🎉
This album is a masterpiece. Nothing else to say
They in fact had a number of masterpieces, Breakfast in America; Crime of the Century, Crises! What Crisis?
@@peterknight3702 Supertramp has more great songs than I realized. I found out after I was able to find any music I love in a few seconds.
@@peterknight3702 Crises! What Crisis? It's a very good album but not as great as the other 3 imho.
👏👏👏
They all were, no one has captured a sound like them since IMO
Grew up with Super. Tramp. Still love them
I keep coming back to this site.
Thank you! 😉
Good musical artists/ Good album/ Good quality vynal.
Nice view, cozy room, great tunes.
That was a great year ! With fantastic music.
What a great song and band
There is more than one song on this album
This album is one of my all-time favorites! Thank you for sharing. ✌️❤😊
...such a classic... peaceful, dramatic, and sublime... everything! 💖
J'adore cet album !

Nothing beats Vinyl
It is snowing softly now in Portland, Me. ('23) Watching it out my living room it compels me to listen to this album, which takes me right back to the living room of Peggy Schwars home in Elkins Park, Pa. The charm of that living room listening to this lp on an old stereo w/turntable in 1980. 43 years later it still stirs in me deep deep emotions. I love music. Miss you Peggy!
Supertranp will always fondly take me back to across-the-OSU-dorm-hall WRS and the good times. So impactful 40+ years later. I’m sorry, B, for screwing up our friendship. I hope you are healthy and happy.
Hi San Supertramp is a good slice in the Vienna 🏟 Stadthalle I've every Album in the Times of love and peace ❤❤❤ 15:40
Old memories, nostalgic souvenirs, I am sad 😞 unforgettably Supertramp !
Don’t be! Just enjoy the music 😊🙏
🎉 Thanks for the encouragement. ❤
Stay awesome 😎.
Supertramp was sooo underrated, love this thanks We really grew up in the best era of music 1960-1990
60-84
Underrated nowadays maybe, but in their prime they had serious clout.
We definitely grew up the the best era.

what a wonderful time of my life it was.....

The best 'till last
Supertramp marcou minha adolescência e juventude.
Not just artists, exceptional ones.

One thing is the music that I grew up with, it helps me concentrate at work ... but I sometime realize that I'm procrastinating by looking out the window at the beautiful scenery.

Without words❤

This is one of my go to albums when I feel I need a pick up.
These guys were only in their late 20s/early 30s when they created this masterpiece. Even younger when they did Crime....
👍
Fantastique groupe.
I bought this when it first came out (vinyl). I still think it's their best...I think "Downstream" is one of the most beautiful romantic ballads ever.
I agree in terms of "Downstream" but I honestly think that nothing beats "Crime of the Century" in terms of "their best Album"
Dont forget crisis
Yes, the Downstream is one of the best hit ever writen. Rick is a true genius.
I love Frank Zappa's photo for your profile Dennis ☝️👏👍
I congradulate you on your skillful recognition that indeed track 4 on this album ,Downstream , is a powerful and deeply resonent proclamation , of this man Love , " you are the reason I was born " you know your music Dennis , Its musical structure and key , also notable. Major 7th and 9th , Rodger and the band were talented writers and musicians . Where are the musicians of today.?.
Thanks...this is just what I needed, as the rain starts falling today, on our parched ground.
Thank you very much for providing this brilliant album in such a warm atmosphere the video include.
