In this episode, we finish plumbing our home. We pressure test our house and install a toilet and a washing machine. All of these little changes have made our lives so much better, but these are just some small things we've modified. We have some other changes coming to the build that we've been contemplating for a while now. Big changes are coming, and we can't wait to share it with you guys.

I can remember the day, almost 5 years ago, when the septic tank was set. I picked up a toilet and had it functioning in the middle of the basement. Next up was to frame the walls and covered them with tarps and cardboard. It was a great feeling. Two days later the company that serviced our ports potty showed up and I told them they could just take it. It was a couple of months later that the laundry room was finished and our washer and dryer were delivered. We actually had a party and had our friends and neighbors over.
I never thought I'd enjoy watching a young couple build a life and house together. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and look forward to the next episode, cheers 😎😃

hey pat i have done exactly the same here in the UK (i'm a bit of a container home fan too, designing my own for some day) i watched a couple of vids and began to binge watch, compulsive viewing for the last week or so, fantastic journey made all the better with such great chemistry and humor, i see so many folk say its like we all know these guys so well, but never met sadly, its a magical insight and i prey that some day i could do the same, if only!!

I saw this all coming years ago and built an antenna array that harvests the FEAR waves from the ether and am currently running my off-grid bug out shack from all this free energy.
Some of the bizarre side effects of using FEAR energy for example are that when tuning my shortwave radio I can hear noise that when played backwards sounds like someone is saying, "oh lucifer chip us and inoculate us with your seed... after all we are no longer able to think for ourselves or determine truth from evil... yes we submit to the seven noahide laws".
I was taken aback by the message but thought nothing of it until in a dream I kept seeing mass beheadings.
Then one night I woke up in a sweat and recall being told to look into the Seven Noahide Laws which I did.
I must say the end looks very dark for Christians.

Re:the washing machine, you only need the dryer function on rainy days. Otherwise you can hang the laundry on the line! Nothing smells better than line dried laundry!

Well done. Me and my wife felt the same 3 years ago and made the same remark as you did 3:50. Now we have a housewith water. 3 Years later and today I told my wife, after I harvested one frame of honey for the first time, that now we also have our own honey. 1.5kg!! Our own bees and own honey. Keep going!!!
Enjoy watching this. We built our home in 1999. Couldn't do plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, cabinetry, trim, doors, decks, lighting, and painting. We can now and have done it all! Congrats and looking great so far guys!👌

A clothes line will add to your efficiency. I use mine as often as the weather allows.

Dry season is coming. And a clothesline makes the clothes smell so much cleaner!
Most HOAs and condo associations forbid clotheslines (because poor people). They're so lucky to not have neighbors.
In dry spells it gets so dusty, then the is the pollen.
YES! The Dryer uses SO much electricity. Maybe they will hang one of those cool wooden clothes drying rack pulleys inside their house that rise up to the ceiling heat to dry clothes quickly. I've seen ones with a basic design, and others that look like craftsman's art.
I have watched more TV lately. SSsoooo much more... THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT one of THE best things on ALL of TV. Internet, Cable, Dish... whatever. You are entertaining, open, fun, educational... The chemistry you two have is what relationships should be like. Friends, partners, lovers and most important teammates! Thank you both for sharing your adventures with us, with me. Hey guys: Love your channel. Don't forget to put temporary caps over your unused drains to keep noxious gasses entering your home. Also, I didn't see if you installed a pressure/temperature relief valve on the water heater; this is VERY IMPORTANT! Water heaters have been known to explode without these.

Get yourself one of those retracting clothes-lines to use in good weather. There's nothing better than line-dried clothes, sheets, towels . . . . ahhh! I'm soooo happy for your progress. I recently went thru a similar situation. Was having my purchased fixer-upper home renovated down to the studs from long distance and was forced to move in prematurely. initially I had 1 bathroom sink with running cold water and 1 toilet. No hot water or heat, no kitchen . . etc. I had a crockpot constantly running on low for my "hot" water . . . you know "sponge bathing" . . . lol You'll get there and you'll have a hard time remembering all this until you watch the vids . . . lol. I love your vlogs

I’m in awe of how you all managed to build everything. I once tried to install wood flooring in my bedroom, and that was a complete fiasco . Ever since then my husband gets very nervous when he sees me with any sort of tool. Hats off to you both!
After each load in our LG front-load washing machine, we tuck a hand towel in front and behind the rubber seal to absorb the excess water, to help keep it from molding, and then remove the towel when no more water is being absorbed. We also periodically, spray a weak bleach/water solution around the lower seal as added insurance. Three years running and zero mold.

You should consider adding a ceramic coat on the water heater glass so that you don't need to clean it that often. Autofinesse has some DIY kit for car windshields (it's called Caramics) which is cheap and comes in wipes. Hope I helped!

Found you guys looking up solar panel builds. I have to say you both are a great couple. For two people with no experience I think you have done an unbelievable job. Best reality tv I’ve seen in a long time and I wasn’t even looking for it. I plan on watching all your videos now for sure. I’ve been trying to reach 1,000 subscribers for my page but now I know why it’s taken so long. I don’t know who is editing your videos and adding the music etc but your doing an awesome job. You make your experience fun to watch and the most important part is the love you share with us. Your both so valuable in your own ways for sure and I’m sure you couldn’t do it without each other. Your building the American dream off grid with no experience which is amazing. You will treasure these memories for the rest of your lives and Bo will marvel when he is old enough to understand how you both did this together and while raising a baby. Words can’t describe how much I’m happy for you all and in the midst of the Coron Virus, this made sitting at home that much easier. It's just AMAZING to me how you both have learned to make this HOME with no prior building skills but the heart & dream to do it!!! I'm fascinated how he is connecting wires & hoses or made that AMAZING frame for the water outside!!!! It what I'm thinking about doing but on a smaller scale, being on my own with my dog & disabled. What I used to be able to do for myself physically changed & it's frustrating. Income was another big life game changer. I can't wait to see this complete with furniture, & your first dinner & night of R&R all 4 of you together!!!!! I'm not a SNAKE fan either 😲

This dude is a mans man. Seriously brother. U got the drive and the skills. And I know u have really only been doing typical research on the internet and books to do it all but u could Seriously make a lot of money being a "handyman" on the side. Ya know, when the house is done and all. But I've been watching all these videos and I'm extremely impressed. Ya got a cool freaking shipping container house that is slowly becoming a HOME. U got a beautiful wife, beautiful baby. One lucky dude.
He probably could be a decent handyman, but you have to keep in mind that at this point his skills are still fairly limited to the what they designed and installed. (A big tip of hat and profs to him for what he's been able to do so far, no doubt.) It's a whole different animal walking into someone else's environment / setup, understand it, determine the problem (when applicable) and then fix / upgrade / build it. On the other hand, he could just continue to film his own projects, even after the house is built (there will always be maintenance projects) and make money from youtube like they're doing now. And when he's done with a project, unlike a handyman practice, that project (aka video) will continue to make money as people continue to watch the video weeks, months and even years later. That's called working smarter, not harder.
As for being lucky, I think that's ultimately for Spenser to decide. Saying he's lucky IMO diminishes the times when he had to make good decisions, work hard and know when to take advantage of opportunities when they come along, and to make things happen on your own when they don't. ... But luck never hurts. ;-)

Watch more of them and u will see why I said what I did. He did all the wiring, plumbing, etc from no experience at all. All for his wife and newborn baby. So yes, he is a mans man. It doesnt take a MANS MAN to critisize someone for not using a dolly

It’s amazing what you can do with determination, my dad built a house (other than foundation) basically by himself when he was 27 by reading Time/Life books back in 1974.
If this were true, then this country would have countless millionaire tradesmen. Besides, they would have to make these abilities scaleable, not one at a time. I know this from years of watching Shark Tank.
