UPDATE: The clips have been extended to 30 secs!!! Now there's the option, under Home Monitoring Settings to change the clip length to 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. Good stuff!! 👏 👍
You can add other smart Xiaomi products on your mihome App and you can use them together to create a new order. for example when camera detect motion you can turn the smart lamp on the same time and voice warning. I think it would be effective for thief. I have a smart lamp and basic micamera it works perfect
That a very good idea. I tried and it only works for some cameras for some reason. I couldn't do it with this one. The only one that I was able make it work was with latest camera I reviewed, the Xiaomi Mijia 2k. On the automation menus, I was able to set that if there was motion detected it will turn on my lights (Yeelight) and the Xiaomi Gateway to produce a sound (like a siren sound in my case) :)

I'm seeing a lot of people commenting that it can only record 10s, maybe it was like that before, but right now it can record 10s up to 30s and the retrigger interval can be also set between 10s and 60s
Hope they extend the 10 seconds clips to at least 30 sec. Other than that so far I’m happy with this camera. Let me know if you’d like me to test anything else with it, while is up. Thanks for watching ;)
I own 2 ec2 cameras, they are good quality. However, I'm very confused with the hub, and router.I can't connect to the hub at all, as I need a password. Does the signal go through the hub 1st, then to the router ? Directions are useless ! Frustrated, as I have a useless system. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Stu

IMILAB EC2: I had a very bad experience. I would not recomend to buy this IMILAB camera, I had the camera for two weeks, and even with correct battery saving configuration and other notification parameters, the notifications delay up tu 13 hours! Sometimes notifications arrive delayed all at once emailed tech support several times with the problem, no solution. With other brand cameras I have, notifications delay no more than 30 seg. Also, you are not able to mask the viewing area to trigger notifications. Not able to cast to google cast. If you are using the camera for SECURITY purposes, REAL TIME NOTIFICATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL. Also Imilab loudspeaker is useless, you have to be too close (20 cm) to hear a very low volume sound, and is not adjustable, so if you want to say somethint to someone you are seeng on the camera, this is not possible. Also Imilab tech support is very bad , they do not give you answers and keel telling you that they will check with the enginering deppartment. I would not recomend to buy Imilab camera.

Hi! I own such a camera and when the battery is under 20% I want to charge the camera. I can't make it work ... I plug a micro-usb into the connector but it doesn't charge. Anyone know how charging should work?
@Zhai Yoong I think the red light means that it is not fully charged. When Im charging the camera I put the usb charging cable in when the light is red. Then leave it over night and I think the light turns blue (dont remember). Then I remove the camera from the hub and adding it again. Then the Mi Home app shows 100% battery level.

2.4GHz only and no NAS feature. Note that its the gateway that connects to your wifi, not the camera directly.
