Excellent vidéo as usual, I will admît catamarans are not my thing but it is good to get the point of view from another mono sailer. I am totalement with you on the hand hold situation or lack of. I do like the fact though there seams to be plenty of storage. Happy sailing ⛵️
Excellent review and I enjoyed the footage of this boat underway. Nice to see so much storage and the middle cabin is such a great idea and good use of space! I understand why there is a fly bridge but not sure I like the idea of having to go up to it to work the sheets, any time a sail needs a little bit of trim. Other than that though it's nice to have a second 'cockpit' to free up the cockpit on the stern of the vessel. Odd that they didn't really soundproof the engine rooms though. Looks like they put a lot of thought into those space, except for soundproofing. Must be pretty loud in those aft cabins. I was surprised by the efficiency of the engines: 2L per hour per engine as I recall. Also, what's up w/ the lack of handrails going forward? They installed some on the cabin top but didn't make them long enough to reach all the way back to the cockpit. I also noticed rails missing by the stairs that go up to the side decks when you first step up on the 1st stair. There was a rail close to the third stair but would be nice to be able to grab a rail when a person first gets on the stairs. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the review!
The noise in the cabin is terrible but I always take ear plugs on any boat delivery, it would only take a bit of sound proofing on the bulkhead to make the noise a bit more subtle in the cabins. Going up to the fly brigade to deal with the boat handling and systems was fine when you get your head around it, I will admit that I liked it but to then have to climb on the fly bridge roof to deal with the main sail bad idea not something I would want to make a habit of. The boat itself is well laid out inside with loads of comfort and storage, lots of places to get a little peace and quiet unless the engine is going. The hand hold situation is ridiculous, ok I know in the Mediterranean or charter this type of boat isn’t going to see much bad weather but. The thing that struck me is that if you have small children they have no chance being able to grab the hand hold’s they are to high. All in all though it’s a nice boat and it was a fun delivery for a change. Thank you for watching
Loved that the crew did something right! :) how was the cat's movements impactant on you, a monohul sailer, on shaky seas? Is it more comfortable? There must be some kind of learning curve, I guess. Thanks for the video! The editing and lettering are very nice!
Have you ever been on a bucking bronco? If you have that is what it felt like. It’s a very odd motion compared to a monohull. The comfort on board though was great and it’s not often that I get a cabin and heads to myself. Thank you for watching
@@SVTONICBoatWives Hahahahahaha! Great reference! A mono has a predictable behavior/rythm no matter the sea but a cat has not because each hull is on a different stage of a different wave - so it moves back and forward, right? Must be tiresome! Anchored it's confortable. But moving on seas with waves it's a bucking bronco. Loved it! And thanks for the review!
@@SVTONICBoatWives That "Bucking Bronco" effect on a Catamaran, is a better description of what I've been calling a "Corkscrew Motion" that is far from an infrequent occurrence, and does my head in so badly, it ruled out me ever owning a Catamaran. Brilliant Boat Tour by the way, Lack of handholds would likely have me over the side so Fast, I'd have to nail my feet to the side decks. 😅 Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️
Nice review, something pragmatic and realistic. I hope you gave your feedbacks back to lagoon also:) To the main question, is the money worth to buy this catamaran? Because I’m seriously considering it
I would say yes if you are wanting to have a very comfortable second home with loads of space for you and your family/ friends etc, Lagoon are good at what they do.
I've heard Rumours aplenty, but that happened to Hunter Sailboats as well, and I was surprised to find out just how well Built Hunter Sailboats really were, when I looked pretty thoroughly at a few while Boat hunting in the USA in 2016. I nearly bought one in fact, but a soggy deck issue brought the price down more than enough to get it sorted, but it couldn't be done before my Visitors Visa Ran Out, and as it's only Polite to comply with such things out of respect for the hosts, I bought a different Boat (and I only got that out of USA Territorial Waters with a Day to spare as it was, and I'd been really Sweating it ). I'd never buy a Catamaran, as the motion really messes my head up, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for more info on Lagoon. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob in Wales. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️
Excellent as always, thanks

Thanks for the reply. Does this apply also for charter? Do yo reccomend it?

If only they built the boats with pride not to a price every year they seem to get more shoddy

You can keep Elon.
It was great to be able to stay in contact with everyone but on another note it’s also nice to unplug when we are on a boat delivery.
