Builder, only one entity is in charge. They hire various contractors to complete various parts of the house. Of course no one person built this by themselves. Just to be rude, because I can't believe you wrote this. How is your studio apartment with 5 roommate's working out for you? Why don't you drive by a house under construction. You will find that at least 12 contractors work on a

For once the term "jaw dropping" is true. What a property! My butler says that if I am good he will let me live in the guest house's guest house. He feels the main house should be the staff quarters. That estate is so beautiful I would happily live in the pool house!

@@helloitsme1130 People buying homes at this price point generally already have a good idea what the taxes on the property they're looking to buy would be, and they also tend to not worry about such trivial, menial crap like that. After all -- if one can afford a $35 mil property they can also afford the taxes on it as well.
@David Lutz He moved. Well...they moved! He and his wife decide to downsize. Most likely after several years of running an estate of this size & magnitude they realized how much work it takes maintaining it. Not to mention that's an awful lot of space for just two people! One article on the house/property said him amassing the land and building the house was just "an investment opportunity" for him. I'm sure at $35 mil he still made money off the deal - just not as much as he was hoping.
the owner has an outstanding taste. This got to be one of the most (if not the most) beautiful mega mansion i've seen. It looks like a piece of Europe in California. If i was a billionaire and lived in California, i'd definitely buy this property.
The owner is a film producer. That explains the creativity and imagination
But he didn't have anything to do with the actual design.sure he had a idea, but it was someone else that did all the work.
@@catfan5756 He had sufficient taste to choice a good design. You can tell in many properties that the designer has had free reign because the owners have no confidence in their own taste. Not the case here.

That home theater needs a seat dead center where I like to sit. I don't know why they pay more attention to asthetics of having the seats evenly apart instead of having a seat dead center. Especially since he is a movie producer. I would change some other things but I think this home will almost do.

This compound is up the hill from us, I have always wondered what it looks like on the inside. Local legend is that the original owner/builder was the inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper. He had to sue the auto maker he worked for when he had the idea. The case was eventually settled, in his favor, and he used that money to build his mega mansion. Beautiful and stunning views.

This is about a mile up the road from my Mother's house. It was on the market for $85 million, however it sold for $36 million. That is one hell of a price cut.

I’m sure he sold this amazing house with so horrible discount because of fire in Malibu and Thousand Oaks. At the beginning at January 2018 price was 85 million, then at November 2018 was terrible famous fire, then at March 2019 they changed price to 60 million. And finally at July 2019 they sold this property for 35 million. I hope this place was full saved. For example famous place for weddings Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyard lost his grapes for wine and everything around looks like empty mountains at Mars. It’s not far from this property. You can check photos at Airbnb luxe. People who lives at Westlake village and Thousand Oaks can say about this situation more
