I made the hole so it has a tight enough seal to hold the burner by friction. It holds it well!! But if you have access to a welder a couple tacks to the burner head will hold it good!!
@@ironriverarmory584 It pretty much does the same thing to your lungs that asbestos does. once installed, you must cover all of it with refractory . You can't leave any of that insulation uncoated.
How much BTU you think it is putting out?
Make sure you coat the forge with refractory such as satanite to assure no toxic fumes are being burned by the insulation!! Forgot to add that in!!
I am really new to this, where exactly should I put the refractory on the forge?

Ya I added some refractory to seal in the insulation. I didn’t realize it was bad at the time lol. Thanks dude!!
