Why didn't you add a pin?! There is no mechanical connection holding that handle onto that blade except glue! You didn't even cut any grooves into the tang partition to give it more grip inside the channel! Please do not seriously swing this thing around people unless you don't care about their safety. The whole point of the pommel on that sword was to be a mechanical connection to hold the handle together. At least put a pin through the tang before you start swinging it around!

If you made one size accurate with brass guard and pommel 30 lpi checkered g10 grips with pins in handle and pommel. A little more polish on the flat part of the blade Aquila on both sides. You would have fans lined up could easily sell between $300-$400. I would purchase one.

very nice build! It's definitely a blade I'd love to have even if I hesitate to call it a knife. A small correction on the lore side of things is that the Aquila is a symbol of the emperor himself and the imperium as a whole, not any specific space marines, (it still makes sense for a space marine to have it on his war gear) and the winged skull of the astra militarum is specifically a symbol of the imperiums none space marine fighting force and wouldn't make much sense for this specific weapon.

Neat project, the blade looks pretty sexy! Do you have any particular reason for normalizing, especially 3 times, since this is a stock removal knife? I don't believe the amount of grinding you did on the blade, especially pre-HT, warrants normalizing for any sort of reason. That's assuming your starting steel comes properly annealed out of the factory, which appears to be the case when looking at where it came from.

Beautiful knife. I personally love listening to the sound of the tools and machinery as opposed to music. Again awesome knife.
