How's it going, everybody?!
Hope you doing well!
In this episode, I made a bigger Forge than my previous one. This time I used
20# Propane Tank as the body, to insulate it I mixed Plaster of Paris, Perlite and Water. This forge gets real hot! I believe I can reach a welding temp no problem! Please enjoy!

You make it look easy and the result is elegant
Thank you!
Awesome build brother, wishing you all the best from here in the UK
Thank you kindly
Your videos are delightful. Thank you for giving your viewers a blueprint to start building on their own
Thank you for your kind feedback! I'm glad you find my content useful!
Hell Yeah! This channel is deserves more subs and views.
Thanks, Jimmy! I appreciate it buddy!
I like that you took the approach of an artistic look at the mistake. I would have said it was to offset the weight of the burner. 😀
I really like your forge project, I have to see your other videos as well, great job.
Thanks!
Incredible. Definitely gonna use this to make my own! Thank you for the great content!
Thank you, Michael!
If I was gonna do it again I wouldn't put so much perlite and add sand to the mix too. Once it was in use it starts to crash out, not stable. I would go 50% Plaster of Paris 30% Sand and 20% Perlite/Vermiculite.
Have fun! And let it cure for a week before using it as a forge!
Another interesting video. I enjoy watching the stuff you post
Thanks, Jason! I'm glad you enjoy content I post!
Cheers man!
Think I would still put a hard fire brick on the floor of the forge, don't believe that plaster and pearlite will hold up very well without it.
You are right! I ended up having hard fire brick on the floor
Very cool video!
Thanks for the visit
Nice!
Thanks!
Very very nice forge
Go on !!!
I live in Athens
Thanks! Will do!
Saw your post on AO ..nice vid ..good looking forge .new sub here thanks for sharing
Thanks for subbing, Rob!
That was great. I would enjoy doing a build like that.
Two comments: it looks cold in your shop. Maybe your next project should build a wood stove?
And, your workbench wobbles like crazy, and so your vice is not be rock solid. Without a solid vice, blacksmithing and even filing becomes difficult. Perhaps some extra legs with diagonal braces?
I was thinking of putting a wood stove in my garage, just not sure if I'm allowed to do it in attached garage, have to find out the codes, it's not that simple unfortunately. This bench you see in the video is my mobile work station, it wobbles crazy because it's on the wheels lol. I will put another vise to my stationary bench eventually, just looking for a good ol leg vise! Cheers!
@@Take_And_Make I have an old house with uneven floors, and when I moved in all my furniture wobbled, so I hammered little wooden wedges under the high legs. That would be the easiest fix for the work station, since they are easily knocked out to move it. Thanks for the video--
Thank you for watching and for your advice!
Could you find a smaller hammer the bank those nails in?
Howdy sir this is a great build!! How is the inside holding up and what is mix ratio? Thank you and keep up the great videos!!!
It's not holding up nicely no, it is still there , just crumbles and cracks, thinking of replacing it with wool eventually. Or use sand in the mixture next time
What is your mix ratio of Perlite and Plaster?
Excellent !!!!!!! Where are you from?
Thank you!
I live in Edmonton, Alberta
Why didn't you just weld the broken leg back on when it broke off while bending it?
I wanted it to be in one piece I guess! :)
Does it get hot enough to forge welding in? If so how do the forge walls hold up?
It does, walls are not holding up too well unfortunately, after using it for two years (not daily of course) I gonna have to reinsulate it
