I only just heard about Shawn Smith's passing. God bless from Ireland. To think, your voice has echoed in my head at various points for over 2 decades is quite amazing. When gentle/deep souls have a voice, they must sound something like this x
@@clonmult Pardon my own correction, but one of the seminal Albums from one of the greatest "jam" sessions to happen in Seattle on the tail end of the "grunge" era. So many people missed out on the Brad/Satchel thing. . . IF you were here for any of it, you'd consider yourself very thankful.
MTV's 120 Minutes introduced me to this Shawn Smith/ Stone Gossard classic,in fact I tuned in every Sunday night to find some of the best Alt rock music ever made..I bought many CDs during that period (Cassettess and albums too😂)
I'm going to be running out and about tomorrow listening to this on repeat - a fantastic groove that is absolute perfection. WIll be thinking fondly of Shawn, RIP dude.
Play that Funky Music is simple as hell but I can feel the veins on the outside of my right hand grinding against bone for basically the last 3/4 of the song. I definitely echo your sentiment.
Me too! I want to see if I can find it on vinyl this time. I know Brad and got their CD right when it came out now need it again. I love BRAD and Shawn Smith even way more. I love you Shawn madly you know this. lol I really love him for real.
