It's subjective

What a band! It's so hard to accept Layne's destiny.

@@stephenloflin9984 especially when you do drugs
@@xfilesfoxisdead7979 That's the thing, a lot of brilliant and talented musicians also have the propensity to numb themselves with alcohol, opiates, etc...

Sad day today. Anniversary of Layne's and Kurt's passing. Rest Easy....we still love and miss you both!
It's amazing how they both died 8 years apart. 2 of the best lead singers of all time.
Insane how Nikki Sixx is still alive after all the shit he went through back in his day and Layne lost his battle 😢 R.I.P Layne and Kurt
Every time their music is played it's their anniversary. 😉
Hold it in your mouth until the swelling goes down I have to say I can agree Layne did it to himself because he never recovered from losing his fiancée but I believe Courtney Love killed or had Kurt killed.
@@granthosman2745 Even if Courtney love didn't pull the trigger she was abusive and toxic and she may as well of pulled the trigger I believe Kurt felt trapped and at the end he knew he couldn't escape that crazy bitch.
In a very strange way, this live recording almost looks contemporary, like it was recorded within the last few years. It's eerie in a way seeing Layne and picturing him in current times.
culture comes back around every 20 years
The style it‘s recorded almost looks like a smartphone recording.

New bands who are relatively unknown right now are kind of 90’s and some are 70’s/ 90’s. We could be in for a 70’s/90’s hybrid decade.
@@DrunkenSlob it'll be shit, theres no point in repeating the past - pretty much all music now is just a regurgitation of what came before. it's shit - i mean look at bands like silverchair and bush who jumped on the grunge bandwagon because it was cool. Layne and Scott Wieland. Two of the most versatile singers to come out of the 90's. Music suffers every time we loose great musicians.
Layne was cool, though. Scott was pretty much a bastard.
Weiland was versatile. A literal man of multiple voices who proved on record he could knock it out of the park in multiple genres. Layne was musically one-dimensional. Or, at best, that one dimension is all we got to hear him attempt before his death - based on the bands and projects he chose to be involved with. Layne had a strong, emotive voice. No compliments beyond those can be realistically paid.

I remember listening to this when it was broadcast live on radio. Instantly loved this song. I sure do miss those days.
I like how the whole video is centered on John Baker Saunders. Everyone knows Layne, and Mike is shown very little in this. Barret gets some screen time, but the focus is clearly on John.
