When you appreciate art in music, and hear this song on top of the other wonderful pieces in the album. It is easily comparable in modern times to anything in history considered great. Beethoven, Bach, on up through the 60's of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, and more.
Actually I wish he would’ve listened to his own words, took his own advice and stopped using the heroin & Cocaine intravenously Its just so painfully sad
@@sherrygrave7619 that's just it, though. He realized early on he would probably not be able to beat his addictions, and did the next best thing a person who's in such a spot and aware of it could do; he warned people of it's perils, through the music he made. I am sure he wished he could take his own advice too Ive never touched anything harder than pot and cigarettes. I knoooow that if I ever tried anything like coke or heroin, I may as well be taken behind a shed and shot, because I know I couldn't beat something like that. Having this knowledge has given me a fear of these kinds of hard drugs that has saved me from trying it multiple times. I think Layne may not have had this fear I am speaking of, and possibly not realized until after the fact how addictive a personality he had. I guess, I dunno, I am just discovering mad season, and I am grateful it exists. One can certainly say his advice came from an honest place, along with most everything else he sang.
@@jacoblott1617 You are so right! You sound like such an intelligent and kind young man! I know Layne would’ve been extremely happy to know his music had such a positive impact in your life! I see only great things in store for you!
I always describe All Alone as the calm before the storm that is November Hotel
+chris bonine on the album it's the other way around, so it may also mean, the sun and chill after hard storm. :)
+aNdzel0t true I just haven't listened to the album all the way through for some time I jump from song to song
the full album concept is experience as a whole!
+aNdzel0t yeah I need to listen to it again all the way through just normally my music is on random so it jumps around
I just went to heaven for 11 minutes
GOAT period saved my life twice

For all the times you let them bleed you. For a little peace from God you plead...and beg.

Yes yes yes... insane.
