Funnily enough, the OH Uldaman lore said Trogs and Dwarves both came from normal Earthen, and that Azeroth was the first time they made Earthen dwarves, so on other planets there are normal fleshy dwarves, and the Old Gods just reset them to their original forms.

So so happy. I have watched this episode 100 times, just to get happy from Dorito Yogg. He's my most favorite forever and should be in every episode of everything ever.

To be honest, we are just some badly payed mercs hired for a much bigger job that would require very powerful and wise characters, but instead they send us because we are cheap and readily available, while immortal elves are taking a nap in Emerald Dream and cannot be bothered.

I've noticed a pattern forming.
Alliance dungeon: "They're in our way. Kill 'em for loot."
Horde dungeon: "They're threatening lives/peace/existence itself. Go save us all."
Well yeah, we can't build a big boi empire without taking out the other big bois.
Pretty sure that both factions have variants of those for certain dungeons. The Horde does tend to look more heroic in comparison, since they were canonically the ones to clear most of the Classic dungeons, though the Alliance does manage to even it out by being the ones to deal with some of the bigger threats like C'Thun and Kel'Thuzad.

Alliance: cleared Deadmines, Stockade, Gnomeregan, saved Moira and cleared BRD, cleared Sunken temple, Onyxia and Naxx
Horde cleared: Ragefire Chasm, Maraudon, Dire Maul, Blackrock Spire and Blackwing Lair, Zul Gurub
Both faction fought in Molten Core, in AQ Horde hold the line above in AQ20 and Alliance strike force attack Cthun in AQ40
I am not sure about Strat, Scholo (I would say that was Alliance kill) and RFK, RFD, WC and SFK should be Horde.
In chronicles I only found the raids and few dungeons.

These are so good and well done. Very informative! I've played since vanilla and I admit I had no idea what we were doing in these places besides leveling and farming loot. I love the lore in the non dungeon game, not sure why I never twigged who these people we were randomly killing were.

One can make an argument that the Keepers in Ulda were also corrupted, as the once you kill them and talk to the virtual construct on the pillar in the the room with the Disks, he seems happy to explain the lore and situation, and likewise after a small questline you turn the disks in and have another long convo with a different construct at the pillar outside Uldum. Those constructs seemed to expect (what would become) the mortal races to eventually enter both places, so the Keepers who tried to prevent it seemed to be going against the real and true intentions of the Pantheon, by allowing the mortal races to eventually flourish and learn about their true origins.
Though...on that same point, the Ulduar Keeper Algalon seemed to have a very different take on the mortal races than the pillar constructs. So perhaps the Keepers in Ulda, Ulduar, Uldum, and the rest were still faithfully carrying out their orders...old god corruption aside.
Well, that's because the mortal life come from the old gods corruption, not in a natural way, that's why Agalon saw us as beings full of corruption and saw Azeroth as a victim and need to purge the mortal life from the earth

I remember getting my firs to mallet of Zul Farrak and I gotta say it really was one of the most fantastical experiences for me. The idea you have to finish a ritual on a troll ruin on the other end of the earth to get the summoning item was just so cool back then. Like back in the day. Doesn’t sound mystical any more.
