Also, it's much cheaper to pay a band of 5 silly mercs to go assassinate the leader of the Defias than to actually pay the bill of a small army of architects and builders that actually helped rebuild your city after a devastating war. You know, just your usual politician problem solving.

It was a brilliant video again Platinum but the Arugal section was incorrect. Arugal brought the Worgen from the Emerald Dream to fight the Scourge but didn't realise how feral they were, so when they infected the citizens of Pyrewood Village he went mad with grief and started treating the Worgen like his children, It's why they are called "Son of Arugal" What you explained in the video was the post Cataclysm Silverpine story where members of the Gilnean Worgen offered Dalaran and Hillsbrad refugees Worgen blood to avoid becomming Forsaken as Sylvannas has Val'kyr spreading the curse at that point.
The defias started a riot that accidentally killed tiffin wrynn, queen of Stormwind... and pretty sure it was Onyxia who was behind not giving the gold to the stone masons.
As someone who only started playing in Legion I am OBSESSED with your "Why Do I Want Them dead?" series. I love how you're able to give a lot of lore while making it really fun and entertaining. Also your editing is top tier.
So, about that Deadmines thing; Spoiler alert too, I guess, since this isn't made clear at all anymore. Back before Varian returned to the throne, Anduin was technically king. But since he was like five years old or something, everyone was like "hey, maybe a five year old can't understand how taxes and stuff work. we should have a regent until he learns how to count", and so they did. The regent had some advisers, but one in particular was a damn fine raven-haired babe of the highest order with a temper as hot as dat ass. Turns out, she's a black dragon whose real name is Onyxia. You might remember her name, there's a meme about her giving epic head. Anyway, the thing about black dragons is that they're all evil and manipulative spawns of Deathwing. They love watching "mortals" like humans toil and suffer, and will on occasion even hop into a humanoid form they happen to like to inspire some havoc. She's the one who got the nobles together, and said "instead of paying the masons, let's not". Everyone was too busy staring at her cleavage to care whether it was right or wrong, except for the queen. The queen knew a thot when she saw one and wasn't hypnotized by that black dragon booty, so Onyxia manipulated events to have her killed. Just think, if it weren't for Onyxia we might have had a High Queen of the Alliance, and Varian would have had a nagging wife instead of a nagging Jaina telling him to be nice. So yeah, we go and kill the people who rebuilt our capital city because they rioted because an evil dragon convinced easily brainwashed nobles to not even sign an I.O.U. And since the nobles are the ones giving orders, and Stoutmantle only really cares about stabilizing Westfall and not who's right or wrong, we go kill the best daddy in the world and cut off his head while a little girl watches. Eventually some of the more diligent nobles recognize Onyxia for the thot dragon she is and unmask her, but that's a story for an attunement quest for a raid. As for why the Defias Brotherhood is still around... well, the Stormwind nobility still refused to pay the masons after Onyxia's head was mounted on a pike. Even after the truth was revealed, each side is too proud to admit any wrongdoing and still refuses to see eye to eye. Oh, and Vanessa is (understandably) super pissed about what they did to her daddy and organized a new Defias to take revenge.
huh, neltharion was not an evil being. as far as i remember he was the Strongest of the aspect before, and just before succumbing to old god corruption, he turned evil.

Well simple every single one of them as commited tax evasion. Think about it everyone in those dungeons drop money because they didn't pay their taxes. We are not adventurer, we are tax collector and guess who get all this money? That right, our class trainer making them the richest people in wow.

I really like this! Lore is one of my favorite aspects which makes the warcraft universe so interesting and getting a basic rundown of stuff i never looked up is really nice~
Initially not, but under his leadership the, mostly innocent, people of Westfall were robbed, kindapped, killed, driven off their land etc. So in the end VanCleef became even worse than those filthy nobles he so hated.
Edwin Vancleef is actually one of the most tragic story if you think about it. Ultimately, it’s revealed later on WoW that Onyxia was behind manipulating the nobles to not pay the stonemasons and lead to the uproar. It really makes you look back to deadmines when you learn that and go “…”. It’s expertly done and really leads to a satisfying conclusion to the raid. Onyxia is beheaded and the sins of the past are at least brought to redemption.
Italo Meluzzi actually they did by mistake , they threw a rock and it hit her head , it’s in comics , yes she was all for paying them, but she got caught in crossfire (I think) or they actually went for her , something like that
WC was one of my favorite dungeons. Actually all the OG dungeons were great because there was lore attached to them, and outside quests tied into them with unique rewards and questlines... Nowadays they are just grindfests

Many of the convicts SHOULD have been put to death promptly for heinous crimes that they committed. They were not only because of corruption stemming from Onyxia (Lady Prestor), and were held there to create a "powder keg" scenario in the heart of the city.

I think from the 5 man dungeons Zul'farrak is the only dungeon in which we are the evil guys because the native trolls are just living there and we really are the evil, treasure-hungry invaders in this case. Strange as it sounds but the situation is somewhat similar with the Molten Core. Those fire elementals just doing fire elemental things there. Though they enslaved the Dark Iron dwarves, they aren't a direct threat to the world, there is no evidence that they are planning some sort of invasion, they are only at war with the Blackrock orcs and black dragons who are our enemies as well. No wonder at the summoning of Ragnaros Majordomo Executus says "These mortal infidels, my lord! They have invaded your sanctum and seek to steal your secrets!" The fire elementals are evil, yes but really we are the invaders here without any real provocation. It was only Moira Thaurissan (neé Bronzebeard)'s propaganda to exterminate the fire elementals because she wanted to liberate the Dark Iron dwarves after his husband Dagran Thaurissan was assassinated.
The Ferraki trolls were planning on invading the rest of the Tanaris region and beyond. (See the Chief's dialogue when you fight him) so you shut that nonsense down before he starts. Also, Ragnaros wants to burn the world. There is no defending him.

About Shadowfang Keep, the Forsaken couldn’t spread the curse of undead until cataclysm, it was the Scourge that was doing that, not the Forsaken
