Finally feeling like I have options between the GX, LC, and whatever 4Runner ends up looking like! This pricing was a really pleasant surprise after the Sequoia, which felt very high for the quality of the vehicle.
Find a dealer that sells at MSRP. I am on a list at one that does. 3 hours away from me but well worth the drive. Same dealership I got my A91-MT GR Supra.
I’m actually really happy about those MSRPs, I thought they would be much higher. With the current gas prices I’ve actually seen Toyota trucks selling at Distributor Suggested retail price in California (don’t think we’ll see MSRP anytime soon), which is not great, but way better than $10k-$20k markups from the dealer.
The MSRP is the dealer best price. Don't ever pay more than that for a car. Ever. If you do, you deserve to be ripped off and end up paying for a car that cost far more than its worth.
@@krane15 that hasn’t been true for certain truck models at Toyota dealerships for some time my friend. That’s starting to change, but at one point I knew dealers that would show you the door if you insisted on MSRP.

Very early on I put down a deposit with my dealer for the Overtrail. He cautioned me that, for the foreseeable future, I would have to choose from the stock that the dealer receives as Lexus will not be accepting custom orders for quite some time. Fortunately most of the options I want to order are available from the dealers. I am a little concerned that the dealer installed skid plates may not be up to the challenge of Arizona wheeling. They don't state whether the plates are aluminum or steel and they don't publish the thickness either. I'm also looking forward to third party front and rear bumpers to improve approach and departure angles. Nevertheless, I'm all in with Overttrail and really hope the dealer receives one to my liking. The pricing is slightly better than I expected.
Yup I was told the same thing last Friday. Been on the list since June. I'm #6 in line for the colors I chose on an overtrail, but no way of knowing when and what they'll receive.
That’s actually surprisingly decent pricing for the GX550 Overtrail. I plan to buy my wife one. Yes it will be a mall crawler 95% of the time. But we live in the mountains, we do go camping and softroading, and I like having the lift, 33s, from the factory already.
It’ll be interesting to see how the land cruiser pricing will compare to the GX considering it will supposedly start at the mid 50’s for the base trim. Which it seems like for 8000 more if you compare the base trims isn’t that much for a better powertrain and other goodies. Even less if you compare the first edition to the base GX
What I'm wondering is if the Land Cruiser is going to be built in Texas alongside the Sequoia and Tundra since it's the same platform (with a few differences) or if it's also going to be built at Tahara (which is getting pretty crowded with the models being built there).
I have my eyes on that GX overtrail, really depends on how soft the ride is. Probably going to dump my 22 tundra plat as it hasn't lived up to my expectations.
If you can't get it at MSRP don't buy it. Only a fool would pay more than the already inflated MSRP price for a car. That's your dealer's ideal no haggle price. TNG-F , mean they uses this plate foam to save money on production by using module designs , for consumer its worth noting , I believe this should be cheaper then older GX , prices are higher almost all vehicles .
With high rates and barely any demand, and of course banks not financing much… these will sit for a while. My local Lexus dealer has 20+ 2023 GX sitting and doing $2k or more off MSRP.

I have seen video on the GX550’s 3rd row, they are useless. Absolutely no leg room. Your best bet is the TX500h if you need the 3rd row.
it's an ok amount of room, but nothing more then for a kiddo maybe under 13. And the room in the cargo area with all 3 rows up is very limited.
I received a higher price from my dealer in Houston. Overtrain plus msrp 80,455. With the black roof it’s 80,805. They said it could change by a couple of thousand.
They probably added a bunch of accessories
Hey brotha thanks for getting straight to it. Instant like and sub
For sure
Thanks!!!
I’ll wait for the hybrid
Now the real question… can I pick up a luxury plus in 2027 with 80k miles for $30K 😂( I did this with a 2015 460 in 2019)
I have a 2010 5th Gen 2010 Trial Edition Runner owned since new with 74K miles. Want a GX Overland but doesn’t have the best motor. 👎
Guess I’ll have to wait until you can find a good used model later on down the line.
Nothing wrong with that.
For 80 grand, keeping my 92. Looks and drives like new.
TNG-F , mean they uses this plate foam to save money on production by using module designs , for consumer its worth noting , I believe this should be cheaper then older GX , prices are higher almost all vehicles .
How would it be cheaper?
Good price, but we all know there will be dealer mark up on these
I refuse to pay a penny over MSRP thats why i still drive a 2006 gx470 😂
All about negotiating lol
Yeah, think ill skip on those prices!
Anyone know when the 2025 rav4 will be announced ?
Next year
Not sure what month though
Was hoping there would of been a mark levinson option for the luxury +😬 hopefully after a year or two it’s an added option
It's there!
How is the trd 4Runner going to compare to Land Cruiser?
In what way ?
Do we know anything about the gas , requires premium ?
Yes
Yes, it requires, from my dealer.
Being a twin turbo, premium is definitely going to be required.
Off subject but what happened to the 6th Gen 4Runner video?
Deleted. I was quickly told it was a Nissan so I delete and posted to my community tab
Thanks, Jon. Other than the size it seemed convincing. Wait a little longer, I suppose.@@TRDJon
For sure dude!
…prices are on the Lexus website right now
Can you provide a link please? I don't see prices there.
I work at a dealer. Will be priced $8k-$10k over. And the line is long if you want one.
Hopefully people shop elsewhere then
Mignt need to revist buying the Ineos, GX pricing is more affordable
Very informative video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

lol
Hey Jon is the new gx premium fuel only?
Yes it is
@@TRDJon daaaannngggggg that sucks
Thank you, good review.
No worries
With high rates and barely any demand, and of course banks not financing much… these will sit for a while. My local Lexus dealer has 20+ 2023 GX sitting and doing $2k or more off MSRP.
I think there’s significant demand for this new model - I’m on a waiting list, around 150th in line according to my local dealer…
Everyone are waiting for the new GX550 and not buying the GX460. That’s why they are sitting on the lot. Whoever is buying these type of SUV are not looking to off-road, they want the newest model to show off to their friends and neighbors😊.
Thinking these will just be sitting around doesn’t make sense. The old model has absolutely nothing to do with the demand for the brand new one.
Wow that's a big jump not to mention unfortunately dealers try to markup everything smh 🤦 I wish people weren't so desperate
I wonder what the Land Cruiser pricing will be like?
I feel it will cap at $65K
@TRDJon Starting should be like early 50K, you think?
Ugh, to keep my GX460 after the lease ends or not? I'm in a bit of dilemma. On one hand, I love my GX460, but on the other I like the new LC/GX550. But on the other other hand, give the lease back and pick up a paid off GX470 lol.
@@vadim9342didn’t reviews say starting will be around $55k USD?
Based on this video guessing 55-60-65k for the 3 trims?
