    Good deals currently on the remaining 460s. Ive seen near 10K off MSRP. If you keep vehicles for a long time, the updated interior and the simplicity of a NA V8 is a strong option.

      Not bad but those things run on premium and get about 15mpg…. 4Runners also have big discounts and if you must drive one of these old trucks id go 4Runner for better off road angles and running on regular gas, cheaper to insure and maintain, more aftermarket support and ability to run 2wd

      @TRDJon  11 месяцев назад +2

      Lexus products just require premium. Not sure what internals are different or for other reasons. But personally, I'd probably just put reg in mine if driving alot. Those could also be the HP and TQ numbers on premium so if you did reg gas it may be even less.

      @@TRDJon I get that. It’s not just Lexus, it’s all the premium brands. It’s one thing if they use the same powertrain and tune it for more performance, then it would make sense that it would require premium fuel. But a detuned version tuned to require premium? This layman doesn’t understand.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 11 месяцев назад +1

      Could be marketing, or could be providing a more consistent performance profile. The engine could make full power on 87, but doing that in hot environments or loading it up or running it hard to increase heatsoak may cause the engine to pull timing in order to prevent preignition. Lexus customers likely won’t see that kind of use but maybe the thought is that Lexus never wants the engine to feel less potent if it encounters harder use that could impede power if run on 87. Just a guess.

    Over priced and good luck finding any at base msrp. Get a used gx460 can buy like 4 for that price and have way more fun. This new stuff is all crap

      @@TRDJon the 460 are a deal right now not new I mean 2016 or older they are all the same and can be had for mid 20s or less. And you can add CarPlay and that’s all people want for 800 bucks.

      Oh well yea, any used car will depreciate enough to be a good deal eventually.

      @@TRDJon the 460 nose dive after like 2 years should check it out. Like 20k off very fast. And it’s a Toyota so mileage is second thought also most are owned by soccer moms and serviced at Lexus. Don’t pay the premium for what can be had for much less and the new one is cool plastic but it really doesn’t have anything that is that much different than the 460 unless you just have to have the newest look. Toyota has lost its way and are way to high across the board

      @@TRDJonComparing the same trim levels, it's a $7k increase. New 2023s can be purchased for $5k under MSRP or more, so the effective price difference will be > $10k because the 550s will be going at MSRP or higher.
