We need to understand that the overtrail trims are very much purpose built and need that roof to be rigid not just for offroad but for having all sorts of roof racks and tent systems.
I am going to get a used overtrail plus and the GX 550 guessing new will be $80,000. I know it says 75,000 on the MSRP but then you got a put in probably another $5000 for taxes and registration, depending on the state you’re in I will save uo and get it about 4 year used to get it at 50 percent off. I will get it 3 years and two months so it is around 45,000 kiles. It gives you about 349 HP and 420 Torque who has are good numbers I like that the GX 550 drill is not in your. One thing to keep in mind as you need 91 gas face and the interior has a minimalistic style. I like that there is enough luxury and I like that there’s a TwinTurbo six cylinder engine, which is the same that comes in the Toyota tundra. Dover trail is a little too minimalistic told the reason why I would go with the $7000 upgrade is because the overthrow plus we’ll have enough luxuries, but if you want to go with more luxury or more speed. You’ll get about 1000 pounds of towing but if you’re not planning on towing or going off Roading then don’t get a body on frame SUV. You might want to get a unibody and go with his German car like a audi Q7 or a BMW x7
Massive fail if true. Also drivetrain isn’t as refined as the GX460. Hybrid may be the way to go. Lexus Should have done a smaller direct injected hybrid V8 in lieu of the TTv6 and made it compatible with regular gas to lower running costs.
@@paulbugoni2846 Unfortunately, it is true. It was communicated in the detailed pricing document that Lexus sent to dealers and has been posted to several forums.
I believe the GX460 has 11.6 cubic square ft of cargo space with 3rd row up. The GX550 will have 20.1 or something of cubic square ft of cargo with 3rd row up. Correct me if I'm wrong. But the 550 may have similar dimensions as the old LX570 dimensions. The 600 is actually.smaller according to my dealer salesmen. 600 is smaller compared to the 570.
Do anyone think the Overtrail models will get 1-2 less MPG than the other models due to its all terrain tires and possibly being heavier due to beefed up off terrain components? I like the Overtail, but will also be putting a lot of highway miles on it driving around our country to all our srate parks etc.
Maybe you want a TX 😀. Or a pilot trailsport. Much more room and better ride. No I don’t think it will because you probably save 100 lbs by not having a 3rd row seats. The all terrains are mild
I suspect the official pricing will be higher than what you showed there, especially Overtail trims. Why Lexus hasn’t released the official figures so close to actual delivery is beyond me
Another document showing the configurations that Lexus will allocate has the Overtrail + between $80k and $81k with bundled options. Your dealer is probably marking it up.
@@TXJ232 I would not be at all surprised - given what we’ve seen recently from Toyota regarding markups on highly-desirable vehicles (think 4Runner TRD Pro) I would expect this sort of markup will be very common.
id buy the overtrail model @ $67900 @2:50 is a better value than the sequoia TRD PRO @ $83k , GX550 has more usable cargo space . do we all want a hybrid system ?? will the LC first edt will it cross into lexus GX550 prices ?
The only moonroof worth mentioning is on the luxury options. So ridiculously small on the others. My 2008 BMW x5 had a full moonroof… 16 years later and Lexus is only offering it on the 80K luxury+ package - ABSURD.
This is what all smart business do... apple uses it on every product.... they will walk you up the ladder into spending more... LC250 overlaps the low in GX550 for a reason... if the consumer has walked themselves up to the LC250 high end.... well now they are thinking... I could just get the low-end gx550... now they have justified the low end gx550... and will start to consider higher cost options of the gx550.... before they know it, they went from spending 58k and walked themselves up to 67k.... and lexus didnt have to any selling other that pricing their vehicles to allow the customer to walk themselves up the price ladder.
The interior is so damn bland and dull I wish they’d bring something between white and black from the Sequoia Capstone to give more variations and luxurious feel. These are literally all just cosmetic changes and nothing else. Starting to think Lexus and Toyota does this on purpose but I guess $79.9K is the new $40K and you get what you pay for. Still buying tho
No option for 3rd row in the overtrail with all the offroading goodies, and no option for the offroading goodies in any of the 3 row trims... big miss from Lexus and is a dealbreaker for me.
@TobyCostaRica LOL! Wow, to both your comments. You absolutely do NOT need the space... that is what a roof rack is for. You "need" that space if you are the type of yuppie who goes "camping" with a slide out refrigerator/freezer combo. Second, yes, some people have kids, and those kids have friends/cousins that they want to bring on the adventure... I know, this is shocking information!

I like that chart! I would like to see a dimension for the LX570 & LX600 compared to the GX550... its really looking like the GX will be bigger than the LX570.
It’s so bad. Why make such a great revamp in every aspect and then bomb the interior? They can’t even put the full moonroof on the premium + package? Just stupid. These prices look too optimistic, dealers will be charging quite a bit more
