Carter’s TV’s advice is spot on, pulley down for race night only and then pulley back up for normal driving. You may not even need to pulley down for every race, but let’s say you’re anticipating some fierce competition (assuming the races are prearranged), make the pulley change, and belt swap, load the appropriate tune and set the car on kill to be ready. I also recommend letting the car cool down after each hard run (especially on high boost) before “running it back” and you should be fine. You have to be very disciplined (don’t get greedy and overwork the motor back to back) when running high boost on a high mileage motor. Make each run count and allow a cool down period of 30-45 min. between runs to keep, the motor happy.
You’d be fine with the 3.48 pulley. There are guys running the 3.33 pulley on stock Gen2s, and they end up living a long time (as long as you test your e85 and have a good tune).
I was in ur same situation & I got rid of my P1sc for a D1X ProCharger & pullied down tha motor lasted another year I blew a rod & then I bought gen2 long block from Ford slap a blower cam on new motor & she running strong 💪🏼
I would say forge it and beef up everything to handle more boost. Spend the money up front so it doesn't cost you as much if something breaks on stock items. Takes a little longer to save for it all but at the end it'll be worth it.
I'm making 16 psi with 30k miles. I would drop to 16psi for races and change the belt and pulley back to 10 psi for daily driving. I ran 10, 12, 14, and 16 psi. Trust me 14 is enough but you'll win these races at 16. Just don't shift at 8k rpm. You do shift high, very high. Maybe try to pulley down to one below the 3.33 and then shift earlier. The boost will ramp in much quicker, Remember if you shift 14-16 psi at 8100 rpm you are playing with fire. Test the E85 and send it. 7800 should be where you stop. I have a whipple e85 and 16psi. Car runs well. You may need to figure out how to swap the pulley's and belts. It took me some time to learn I had to ask around before I figured it out. youll make the 800 whp before the redline if youre at 16psi. You dont need to rev it out. Trust me. You'll want more until you hit 16. Just go straight there.
Hey bro what kind of louvers do you have and how do you get them to match your car color? They look hella sick 🤙 and I’m trying to get my louvers to match my car instead of having all black and then matte black 😂. Love the content bro 🔥❤️
You're a higher mileage car like me, ask Lund what they would suggest you do cause they seen more of these cars and what works the best. My guess would be a 3.6 Pulley on E85 and kinda ride out for now. Me Personally, save up for a Gen 3 shortblock while riding out with that 3.6 Pulley and when the bottom end lets go add that Gen 3 shortblock for the extra compression and if it lasts a while maybe save up for cams as well, since these Paxton kits love RPM's and those cams will let you rev the shit outta that blower.
My kit came with the 3 6 pulley. Im not sure what power your making, mine doing 640 to the wheels. My car is at 67,000 miles right now. No my numbers are not crazy but they are good enough for me. I already had to upgrade my transmission with a PBH trans. I'm not trying to replace anything else lol!
Need to at least go to a 3.6 pulley. That is my next move. Also considering the 3.3 with the torque boost set up and 12lbs. I am trying to keep the stock motor happy until i can do rods pistons and head studs at a minium.
6 speed what's good bro, to answer yo question it all depends on you brotha. Now what I mean by that if you want to make more power and you are ok with spending money with the Gen 2s you will have to sleeve the motor with also getting diamond pistons, and new rods and them you can up the boost because now the motor is ready for more boost. Until you make that move in the motor leave the car alone where she at.
I bet a 3.48 or 3.6 pulley with a torque pipe waste gated at 12 psi would be safe and the boost would hit a lil harder through the lower power band. Essentially you’d be a lot quicker out the gate but still be regulated at 12 psi on top to stay safe. Check out Lethal performance, they got em!
You and the black one pretty even. But that blue car? I don’t think he’s telling the whole story 😂 And listen, as for more boost - you have to ask yourself, if you cook a cylinder next week, are you in a position to rebuild your motor? If yes, go for it. A pulley is cheap HP, but if no, I’d stay right where I’m at and enjoy that beauty until the day I can rebuild.
Bro go and pulley down to a 3.33. Get a fuel system and lund will tune you on E. I got same setup with the same stage 3 mt82 and it puts in it work. Full weight and 6.2s 60-130 and making north of 840ish whp. Def woulda pulled on the maros with a 3.33 pulley if you was running with em like that
LS3 can handle boost pretty well, so I'm not that surprised, esp with big turbo setups. It pretty much offsets the weight disadvantage the 5th gen has from the factory. This might be a fun project for me in the future, seeing as how the Corvettes just keep going up in price, but these 5th gens are dirty cheap.
The pulley that suppose to come with the s550 Paxton 2200 kit should be a 3.6 pulley. You shouldn’t be making 12 psi with a 3.8 pulley .. you probably on a 3.6 .. I run a 3.5 pulley on mine and i only see 10 ish psi .. made 800 wheel
That quote is accurate as hell. Always someone faster. You move good man
This man said a 3 cylinder V6 😭
exactly what you said brotha “there’s always someone faster” but drop a pulley or 2 bro let that bishhh eat!
cool, gotchu bro!

Yup running 3.33 on e as a daily and just dont dog your car i know its hard lol but stock motor too 😎. Do it bro!
A car will last forever if you take care of it bro 😎 keep it up bro

Words to live by
I agree with you. Id like to keep it at 12lbs untill the engine is more suited to handle it. Cost more to fix once it is blown up.
Turbo cars are hard to beat he can throw a different tune in and make hella power at any givin time with out needing anything

thank you jose💪🏽
Just seen your car at Wu's House in Merrillville! Looks bad ass man!
You’re getting bout 8-10

I'm running a 3.6 on 93. If you going lower than that yes I suggest running e85 with a return style fuel set up.
On my opinion bruh just keep like that for now kinda safe up for better upgrades. Then you gonna send em to gapplebees for sure 😎👌
AYYY THAT BOY CHARLES FUSION WILD!!!!!
Bro its a sleeper lowkey
@@WhiteBoyCharles YOOOO YOU SAID IT MADE 550 TO THE WHEELS BIG DAWG!!?!?!
@@brianbrz356 nah 700 on low boost

good runs bro still a win to me, for a stock 3.8 pulley on prolly 7-8lbs 💯😭

🔥 🔥 but if I was you I’d sell the blower and get a lil on3 kit lol
Them on3 turbo kits are great
Pulley Down!!!!
Keep save
almost 100k. Just leave it and trade in for newer one. Build up again this time you know what you want.
it’s already a racing car. leave it be‼️
Buy a gen 3 bottom end for ford for a couple racks
pulley down, the coyote platform can handle boost well
Do Over ‼️
Don't make no more power moves until your ready to bullitt proof the bottom end.
I'd pully down and start saving for a built block
I’d say redo the timing components!!!! Upgrade oil pump gears and send it
Let’s go bro, let the Mustang smack them Camaro owners lol all jokes aside, I love the American 🇺🇸 car muscle

He's telling the truth he just has a turbo car he can make way more power without pulleys and all that stuff
