      I have a Paxton kit on my car (2015 gt premium) , and although I wouldn't necessarily recommend against it, I don't know if I would buy it again. Not because the kit is bad, because it's been fine and definitely makes power, but because for a daily it starts making real power higher than I'd like. If your racing it's not a big deal, but I don't race that often and usually just get on it a bit entering the on ramps and such where I stab it for a second to feel a power/torque hit, but I don't wanna end up going that fast at the end. You don't get as much of that with a centri unless your over 4k or so rpms. After than it's a wild ride. If I had to do a supercharger again I would probably do a PD blower just for the around town fun factor. Not sure how you plan to use your car, just wanted to share my experience. If your still interested In a Paxton though, I may be selling my kit to go twin turbo, or possibly whipple. It's got everything you'd need other than a BAP and tune, plus depending on which way I go I'd have a couple extra things like 10 rib kit, torque booster, 18 intake Mani with lockouts, upgraded bypass valve and maybe a couple small things to go with it.

      @@Ninja9981000 Wouldn't your issue be worse with a TT setup? It'll be like the centri SC, but with turbo lag. I think twin screw style SC have best low end daily power

    • @Ninja9981000
      @Ninja9981000 2 года назад

      @@MikeyG003 depends on how you size the turbos. Smaller turbos will spool up faster. Two 55mm turbos will probably be fully spooled by 3000 rpm or maybe even less (not sure, never had turbos on a mustang) and you will feel boost coming in before that. Yes, a tvs will hit a bit harder down low, but a turbo will still hit pretty hard low enough to be fun.

    Car sounds like a dream brotha I can't wait to get on your level. I'm just finishing up my airlift 3p install tomorrow, taken me 3 afternoons so far after work. Snapped a bolt head off in the body for the rear flex line and cross threaded and stripped my rear sway bar mount on the other side. I thought shit was gonna go real smooth and easy haha. So I feel you on the setbacks man I just wanna drive my shit.
    Don't feel bad about it at all bro drive it, take care of it and it will great you right. I bought my '17 new in Aug '16 and shit has less than 15k on it. Glad to hear you got everything sorted out! I knew in my gut that you had encountered some problems, simply because you were so excited to get the blower and have it installed. The radio silence told me that there was trouble on the horizon. Do you think you’re putting down 700+ to the rear tires? If you can find an opponent, I would love to see video footage of you racing a FBO Coyote with nitrous. As for the nail in your MT, you can add tubes to the tires and be straight, but also installing a patch over the hole would be extra insurance. Good luck out there bro and I hope the motor holds together a long time for you. One last thing; did you, or have you thought about doing a leak down test to see what the cylinder pressures are since you have 92K on the odometer? I think that would be a really smart move, just to let you know what the health of the engine is like.

    First time viewer, but I'll be back. It looks like the fuel hoses used by I'm guessing the turbo installer may have installed them improperly. From all the issues. It sounds like all the problems started after the turbo install. Your car running poorly earlier was likely due from the tune, or not getting enough fuel. Did you change your Throttle body? Hopefully you have everything ironed out and I'm guessing your still running stock internals, so that's plenty of boost with your mileage. I believe I would have passed on the turbo, but the way your Stang sounds and runs. Hopefully it will stay together. You're correct about your tire repair. Tire centers will not repair sidewall punctures. Your Stang sounds good and looks fast. I'm a big fan of the red interior.. What type of exhaust are you running. Enjoyed the video. Good luck moving forward.

      Yea man I think ppl focus too much on milage. If it's maintained and you use good fuel and a good tune you're good even with forced induction I've seen lots of 100+k mile coyotes with forced induction the majority of their life and they were good. Check out the high mile coyote build brenspeed did 165k mile coyote built it na then did vortec was running 10s for a good while no issues when they tore it down to upgrade it it was still good to go inside. I wouldn't worry about milage maintaining it properly is more important than miles. A car with 40k that hasn't been maintained for shit is gotta be in much worse condition than one with 140k maintained proper. My 07 gt500 has 117k its good to go 550 rwhp just bolt ons right now but I am going to slap a gen3r on it and go above 700 to the tire for a while before i I built motor I'm not one but worked about it. Just maintain it and you are good.

      @@slimhardaway8 yea I got a 2019 Charger scat and I love the car but after like 8 months I started itching for more power 😂 so the 5.0 really is the best option. You can leave it NA and have a lot of power or boost it. Either the 5.0 Gen 3 or the B58 are the best engines to play with right now without burning the wallet lol

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 2 года назад

      @@lui3932 the coyotes are good bang for the buck for big hp but another car that is criminally underrated for big power is the old 07-12 gt500 with the 5.4. Everyone talks about 13-14 ones doing good because they had a better blower stock and make more stock and bolt ons but a blower take off from one can be had for 1500 bucks bolts right to the older gt500s and can get you into the 650-700+ rwhp range for not alot of money. Injectors, boost a pumps and the blower with other bolt on and supporting mods and you can see 700+ depending how its pullied and fuel ecspecially if it is ported along with the elbow. Even with simple bolt ons the old 5.4 gt500 can get to 550-600 rwhp even on the stock small m122 blower which is certainly nothing to scoff at and the sound the 5.4/5.8 4v makes is ungodly. It shares the firing order with 2v and 3v and older 4v cars along with the old pushrod mustangs that is why the gt500s have that classic deep rumble that is a little different from the coyote. The coyotes are badass engines for sure but the earlier gt500s are also a great bang for the buck as far as making big power on a stock untouched long block with simple mods.

    Finally he made another video.
    Now I see why it took a while....
    Questions: Tuning issues can you elaborate on that? Was the Sai li fuel system the issue, wrong injectors, fuel rails ? What does that mean. I am tuned by Lund as well so I would like to hear more.
    I think ford makes great engines. I know you cannot talk about this publicly regarding the EPA and stuff, but I believe high boost and high flow cats are a recipe for a clogged cat and a blown engine. I would consider free flowing exhaust and hollowing out the pipes. This is important to research because you don't want a cat failure.
    Ford makes great engines. Boost and adequate fuel your engine should be fine with almost 100k miles.
    I am still waiting for my whipple kit. Should be here in a couple weeks. Paxton was the right choice for sure.
    Intro ideas: Maybe put a camera facing the engine and give us a couple revs to hear just the blow off valve just add that into your old intro? And maybe a few still frames of the drag pack. I feel like when I click on the video the first thing I should see is that paxton. Just an idea.
    Races I'd like to see: Stock Gt500, Stock Hellcat, Stock Redeye and Stock Zl1.
    How is the shifting? I have 2-3 gear lockout. Did you do any clutch or shifter upgrades?
    Can you dyno the car on the same dyno you used N/A. So we can see the difference in power on the same calibrated dyno.
    Great video !

    Damn man that's a lot of miles for a 2015! I have a 2016 GT PPP (premium performance package) with 41K miles. I've had it for about 15 months and have only put 5K miles on it. Definitely respect you for driving your car like it's meant to be driven. As far as putting a blower on at 92K...these 5.0s are pretty robust so I don't see a reason why you wouldn't. Especially since you know the maintenance history of the car. Only thing I'd be worried about is the oil pump gear. Get that done if you haven't; otherwise, enjoy it!

    Look at it this way; At least it wasn’t a blown engine. I’ll take a hole in the gas tank and needing a new water pump over that any day of the week and twice on Sunday. And now the tire, which does need to be replaced. You have just had a string of bad luck. Hopefully, this project goes smoothly going forward. Looks like you are on your way.

I'm getting power but none of the sweet sweet psssh. Glad we share the same new enthusiasm. As far as milage don't swear over what other people think about what you spend your money on.

    Bro. I bought my 16 GT with about 34k miles and when my car was hit and totaled ….. yeah…… it had 70k after about a year and an half. I loved that car and even drove from TX>PA and I wasn’t embarrassed or anything about the miles because I have my fun, good and tough time but I will be getting another in the future. Don’t blame you man. The car GT is something I could and did driver every day

  • @scottmorgan2239
    @scottmorgan2239 2 года назад +1

    Personally, I think you should’ve supercharged it earlier in the engine life. I get it, somethings just don’t happen that way. That being said, if you ain’t beating it up all the time, you should be ok with the stipulation that eventually something will break or wear out even with great maintenance. So start planning now for rebuilding the bottom end to accommodate the blower. Sure you can port the heads, add cams, and the whole top end first, but a bullet proof bottom end will last longer in the long run. Just my opinion.

    I wouldn't worry about the miles. Just enjoy and know that the 5.0 is an excellent engine. I would only maybe worry about the oil pump gears. although, I had a 2016 GT with a Roush Phase 2 supercharger and never changed mine and didn't have any issues. Be safe and enjoy. Nothing like having that boost on a coyote.
