My uncle bought the album Ithyphallic when he was on holiday thinking it was traditional Egyptian music. Knowing roughly what he was in for I was pumped as hell to listen to some new metal ( I hadn't heard Nile before). His face when he played it was horrified! I thought my uncle got cool as hell for a moment. But i got a free cd out of it hahaha

My favorite metal band as a psychiatrist... patients really got more calm by them... I went to concerts with patients and they actually changed... They learned about Testament, Anthrax etc later...

I love NIle because in a genre flooded with "Viking Metal", it was nice to have something different with the Egyptian/Book of the Dead theme. Which reminds me, another band I like a lot for the same reason is "EX DEO" with their theme of ancient Rome. If you haven't already, you should do a reaction for "EX DEO". I would recommend their earlier stuff.
