If you can afford the Kicker its hand down the better choice. The Jensen sounded decent but the question remains if the speaker will last. Everything about the Kicker is better in terms of construction and quality of materials. If your budget is that limited it would be better to wait until you can save for better components than to risk wasting the money on sub par speakers. It was obvious, even with YT's compression that the Kicker sounded better and it will most definitely outlast the Jensen. Another fun video guys. Thanks for sharing.
I can't wait till you guys try a ported enclosure. Maybe a local store or stereo shop has a cheap ported box you can buy. Once you feel that strong, low frequency bass you won't want to go back to sealed.
Them kicker comps love them big boxes... drop that Kicker into a 2.5-3 cube box and see for yourself!💪 it meant competition back in the day but by todays standards 🤣 not a chance
Lol, I like the videos! Kicker sounded better, but I'm not sure if I'll get it right away unless I blow my cheap Jensen. If I decide to upgrade, I'd go ahead and get some mdf and build a ported box. Way cheaper to do it yourself than pay for one.
I have 2 kicker comp 10s in a ported box with 1 1/2 cudeic feet per 10 with a electronic crossover and a ppi 5 channel amp with only 300 going to subs and it is pretty loud and it sounds amazing
Kicker is known for actually putting out a little more power than what they advertise but it does matter how you pair your system. if you pared this with a 300 wat amp it would make a lot more sense with a lot less of a chance you will blow anything.
How many times can a sub be replaced in a box before the mounting screw holes get stripped or wore out ? You guys may wanna try the sundown e-10, low cost sundown subwoofer
Haha 😂 the mounting holes were actually in different locations in the kicker subwoofer and the Jensen subwoofer so they dont share the same holes we had to make new ones for the kicker :) but thats a good question! hasn’t happened to us but we will let you guys know if it happens 😭
The answer to your question is quite easy. An infinite number of times. The key is to cut a set of threads the first time you install the screw and then make sure that you don't cross thread it on subsequent installs. The same holds true with a bolt and metal threads. As long as you don't cross thread it, it will last forever.
Keep in mind that subwoofer is only 4 ohms. With impedance rise it might only get down to 6 or 8 ohm. So that amplifier is not going to be outputting it's full power. Maybe closer to 200 watts at most. So that sub should be fine power wise. The only danger is if you crank it too loud and it outputs a clipped signal into the sub. Then it can cause the voice coil to overheat. If you feed it a clipped signal you'll hear it sounds distorted. Turn it down a little so the distortion goes away. Overall, I think that amp is a good match for that sub.
Kickers are my go too !! Great review! If you guys need good bass songs for your videos you are more then welcome to use the beats on my channel (no copyright)

You guys funny AF 🤣 Keep making videos 👍
Thank you 😁
We appreciate for real. Yall have loads of fun and its always exciting for the next video
Makes us happy to hear we definitely will keep uploading more and more and hopefully it can be better each time ! 😁

I agree with this guy, or even a T-line enclosure
We’ve been looking only thing is our town isnt so big we dont have much variety, but maybe online or out of town BUT NO DOUBT WE WILL HAVE TO !! 😁😁
@c0uchsl0uch Hes the man ! 😁
I have this sub too but 2 of them with a sealed enclosure and honestly it’s not a deep bass so I ordered a ported so hopefully it’ll hit better😭😭
@@maxmelendeziv9607 Keep in mind that some prefab enclosures aren't tuned to the frequency they claim to be. You'll want to verify once you get it.
That’s y I like enclosed boxes, u get a much tighter bass with less rattle
Them kicker comps love them big boxes... drop that Kicker into a 2.5-3 cube box and see for yourself!💪 it meant competition back in the day but by todays standards 🤣 not a chance
Kicker Comp does stand for Competition 🤘🏼
I bet you could get louder with two Jensens but then you’d need another box 📦 $$$
8.5 … I’ll take it 😉

What sounded better the compact kicker in a kicker box or this one

Wow okay thanks, you help us so much with information its awesome i know who to ask if i have any questions 😁!
Must have been good because you got my door speakers shaking the mirrors sounding like I got a sub.
Kickers are my go too !!
Great review! If you guys need good bass songs for your videos you are more then welcome to use the beats on my channel (no copyright)
Oh wow okay thank you so much will do so ! :))
That's a dual 4 ohm so you could wire it down to 2 ohms . Idk if you did but that's how you'd get the most out of the sub.
The Kicker sub in the video is a single 4 ohm driver.
Guys please review the Skar ix-12 it’s a 500 watt and a 12 inch sub for only $53 bucks it’s really good I think yall will really like it
we will for sure add it to the list 😁
@@TNG11Automotive let’s gooo 💪
Skar is straight 💩 💩. yEteem wouldnt know sound quality if it bit him in the ass.
U need to use like bassotronicks I always remember you. That song has enough bass to n u won't get copied righted if u can please
Okay for sure we will try them ! 😁
try putting down the seats and see the difference
need to adjust the subsonic filter
This amp doesnt have that tuning option:(
If you go by the set up cost the kicker is only $53 more not double
That is correct! we meant double by just the woofer cost !
Your welcome. That’s ? I do when I’m in my car with 3 12s in my trunk Without no amp
Or instrumentals as well u won't get copied righted
Put 2 jensan on the mono wired to 2 ohm
Then you would get more output. Then the decision would be down to which sounds better.
We will have to ! 😁
Just wait until you have saved up for a amp2000 rms.bass and prv 6x9s
Your friend doesn't know how to level it out good
If you just replaced the box and left the same amp and sub you would tell a difference. That crappy box you have is hindering a lot of performance.
Yea we think the box is probably too small
Kickers sound like a plastic baseball bat smacking against a 🌲
Jensens are 🗑️, kicker may not be the top brand anymore but they are good for a good sound quality build.
Just only put the amp up about half way you should be fine
Don’t buy kicker they are trash
You’re trash, Kicker has been around way longer than you. Kicker solo x is a beast. If you can’t afford it just say it salty boy.
