Ya I have the JL AUDIO bass wedge 10" . I had 2 in my sedan with a slash 500/1 and it was as much bass as I could handle. Now I have 1 and a RF punch 500/1 and it sounds spectacular! I am planning on replacing to a 12" bass wedge JL with the slash 500/1 and I am looking forward to it. They say when in doubt always go 12" so I am gonna see. JL has my money they just make such good stuff and for such a long time. How's your 12"? Low and punch sealed, ported etc.?

@@plark7323JL is the best IMHO. I have been an audiophile since 1995 and RF was my introduction and I still think they perform great but JL has been my go to for a long time now and nothing beats them. People have for a long time hear my slash 500/1 with one JL Wo3 and can't believe it's just a 300 watt sub. JL is the best BANG for your buck for sure.

Had a couple in the trunk of my little sedan and they banged! I loved those subwoofer and I never wanted to ditch em. Unfortunately it came a time where I needed my trunk back. I couldn’t really get behind the price of the single 12 basswedge at the time so I ended up downsizing and switching brands to save money. Miss them 12’s everyday 😆

The JL Audio 12w0v3 can get low for the low power it recommends. They aren’t the loudest things at all, but they have potential to be pretty loud and they’ve got such good quality bass. Had two of em hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-8104D giving up to 250 watts to each sub and those things were plenty loud for the music I listened to. Worth grabbing the single or dual 12 in their basswedge enclosure when they’re on sale. Beautiful subs, accurate and low bass potential at a low power rating so there isn’t a need to break the bank on a high rms amplifier with them. When they’re on sale they’re a great buy, but when they’re not? Might get somethin else unless you have the funds to get behind that brand. JL Audio is very proud of their equipment.

Great Video.. this is how it should be.. During Covid, I went through about 7 different Subwoofers in my Car, all powered with 1500 Watts, Ive had in Dual 10 and 12 ported enclosures Fosgate P2, Skar EVL, Skar SDR, Sundown LCS and E, Kicker Com R, JL w3, infinity Perfect (amazing) and Allpine S and type R.. I ended up selling everything else and Kept 2 10 Type Rs! I guess my taste has changed as I want Loud and Great Sound.
The W3s sounded on Par... but I sold them for Top $ to fund this little Covid Project. and The SKAR EVL (in Skars Huge Heavy Box) which I totally felt the weight in my 500hp vehicle.. The EVLs were CRAZY loud...but did not Sound good at all.. its possible I didnt let them Break in long enough but the Weight and SQ was a No for me. I honestly think the type R (version before the current) is the best Blend for getting Loud but staying composed and sounding Good with all types of Music. again this is my Personal Opinion.
I always wanted to try the SSA Demon subs and I hear great things of the NVX Vcw (Carbon fiber look) as their FS is low @ 28hz even on a 10. I do favor 10s as the smaller enclosure is better suited for my vehicle especially being ported.

I would love to do this test live with all the ego maniacs who truly believe they can tell the difference between subs. Subwoofers are going to all sound pretty much the same when setup and powered within proper specs. 50hz is 50hz, so on and so on, you would need meters to see, not hear any difference. If the woofer didn't produce the sound right, it would never make it on the market. The only time things get iffy and woofers start to sound odd is when pushed beyond their specs. People want to cheat the system and want to buy a 500rms woofer and put 800 through it.... 1,500 woofer and put 2,000 through it. That's when certain brands will fall apart over others. But all played within specs, nobody would be able to select which woofer was playing in a blind test. The results would equal the same as guessing. Take a look at Josh Holden below, overpowers and blows all his subs and then complains about the build quality.

My 10” Rockford Fosgate P1 in its ported box sounded better and twice as Loud. I felt the bass much more on the 10”Rockford Fosgate P1.
The 12” JLAudio W0V3 sounds anemic. Do you recommend I return it and get a Rockford Fosgate P2 instead?
I would probably be using the 1.5 Cu Ft box as I’m not sure I can return that too.

I am speaking on magnet size, foam/rubber surround, basket construction, and RMS handling capabilities of Sundown, Skar, & American Bass subs! But since you are intrigued by my comment I will mention a few that I used in late 80’s & 90’s that haven’t changed designs by much in round subs like MTX, R.F., & Kicker were the big three back then. They pale in comparison with the above mentioned subs and I have purchased and used ALL of them over the years.#❤️🔊@lloydhudson6463
