Not to be a hater or anything as this is an incredible build few people dream of building, but torx head screws would of been way cleaner on the subs. As they say it’s the small things. Again not hating on anything amazing build troughout
If there is room for an 8” in the door. Why not fit one? I also have an A4 and am looking for an upgrade for my front speakers. Great build, love the car. Keep the posts coming.
The thing that stopped me upgrading my S3 was the fact it had a "high spec" factory sound system.. the thought of ripping out the amps and trying to fit a compatible head unit and component speakers just put me off... it's a no brainer if your car has the standard four door speakers though, fair play to your man going all-in Alpine!
How big is the sub box for this subwoofer ? The weird thing with this subwoofer is that alpine doesn't recommend a volume enclosure for this subwoofer on the manual
I ran the Status system for about 6 months. Kept the amps and signal chain but the speakers I found lacking. Imported some Accuton drivers and the difference is night and day. But my front stage costs more than this entire system so I guess the old saying you get what you pay for applies.
No sound treatment on the outside of the doors/door cards or fast rings around the speakers? Also, epoxy on the tweeter instead of making an abs tweeter ring/bracket?
Awesome clean build. So 1 HDA-M80 mono amp is enough to power 2 x HDZ-110 status subs ? How did you mount subwoofer box to the car trunk floor so it would not fly around in that fast rs4?
How did you do this for 8k pounds? I have installers here in the states asking for 35 to 45k USD for just the Status line AND NOT F#1 Status Line. Btw, Im doing the install myself.
Babe,a w6 is compared to alpine type R...AND THAT is subjective...w7 is compared to type x...and type x blew the w7 away....now....alpine status in specific this model sub mops the floor with the type x....imagine what it does to a w7 let alone a damn w6😂😂😂
A w7 and let's say 2 w6s....are close ton1.5 times more expensive...I don't get the hype of JL...good sounds, mediocre build at sometimes double the price of of something better in all criteria
Why anyone would do a SQ install and not use a MOST interface and toslink in the first place I do not know. Garbage in garbage out. Mobridge, Zen or decent headunit should be 1st on the list not the last.
I can imagine this is great kit, but 8k - no! I'd rather spend that on a system for home (including acoustic treatment) and get a sound an audiophile would actually appreciate. Even for a cal, I'd rather have a system with better balance rather than "doush doush" bass.
@CASS TV amazing build 🤩 The surrounds on the Alpine Subs look fantastic, and i'm guessing their design may improve xmax control and increase longevity against deterioration. One question in relation to placement of the 12 channel amp & processor in between the 2 Alpine Subs : In Quality Home Audio, acoustic isolation, such as Acoustic Feet, are fitted to Amplifiers and especially sensitive equipment such as DACs & Streamers. Acoustic Feet are designed & used to reduce vibrations to electronic components in the Audio Equipment. This helps to reduce any loss in sound quality. One of the slightly noticeable improvements, which are very minimal, is seperation of frequencies, in regards to instrumentsq, which creates air and space. Do you think by placing the 12 Channel Amp & Processor further away from the Alpine Subs to reduce vibrating may provide an ever slight improvemmet in sound clarity ?

That car looks so good with those wheels, the nardo grey and the overall looks of it is sexy❤
Those subs look gorgeous. I used to prefer sbl but these days prefer sq bass
SQ is the way to go (although SPL sometimes is also cool 🔊🔊)!
@@CarAudioSecurityUK I'm done with I feel too old at 37
💯 Hard to find that balance 😂
Same.

Great build, love the car.
Keep the posts coming.
Thorough explanation. 👍🙏.
11s? abit of a weird size. I used to have Alpine Type-X in my old E36 love them. Status is different level.

It would be nice to share how you adjusted the equalizer slopes from Hu
Some shots sub flexing 😊
How much airspace does each sub have?
How big is the sub box for this subwoofer ? The weird thing with this subwoofer is that alpine doesn't recommend a volume enclosure for this subwoofer on the manual
can customers get the software to tune it for themselves?

What about scratched right door grille? Did you replace customer door?
Hi, is the factory amp in this build dormant once the Alpine Status amplifiers are dropped in?
Hope he's changing the number plate. Can't have a jbl plate on a alpine car haha
Lol😅
💀💀

Installing a 8k Alpine System and using a 576kbits Bluetooth source 😅
🤣🤣 not know that bluetooth quality LOL

Better than focal utopia and JL audio c7 ? ( rookie)
@Blade... Ur sound knowledge it's on... Wow
Very nice. What crossover points did you end with?
The one thing that i have doubts about on those subs is the surround design, it looks like it would tear much quicker than a normal design.
40khz = hi res certified?
Awesome clean build.

Bien 👍
Perfecto
круто!🤗👍
Test?
Why have you skipped the door sound deadening? It is a huge mistake.
👍
This is the system I wanted. But I won’t go for the subs.
You can feel 40khz? I doubt that very much, it's far too high a frequency to move any air.
8k for alpine😳 that's mental 😂
I had a single JL Audio W6 10 in my golf and I can guarantee 2 of them will destroy those Alpines
Ur goofy...a w6 😭😭😭

I love W6 I have 8 inch front sub. Lovely chest pressure.

Audio system is awesome, but the car is very problematic.
modified sound systems in cars are utter 💩💩💩
