    They made a name for themselves for a reason. They aren't the loudest but they are reliable and clean. Always have been.

      I can agree with that, very reliable.

    I have 2 10’s in separate boxes. Probably 1 - 1.25 cf sealed enclosures. I’m not sure exactly but they are running off my CXA800.1 at 600 watts rms and boy do they pound and do pretty well!

    Is it still good to buy this in 2024? Its a quite old sub and the technology might have changed a lot in all these years!!

    • @SubzPawz

      Kicker is Kicker and will always be Kicker. Technology has changed a lot and there are new companies and new equipment popping up daily. Bargain sub's cheaper and better built everyday. They do take a beating more than other brands and outlast them too. HYanka is a new company you may want to check out. WLLDSE makes some nice budget sub's. I believe Black Brick audio is still on sale and has some great subs for a good price. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for your question and comment 😊

    Hey John u know the kicker comp is the entry level comp c is 2nd level they are a little different. The newer style comp c sub is a little better than that comp c from 10 years ago kickers sound great I always liked them and I also I have talked to kip and a bunch of the guys on the phone they are 1 of the few company's staying humble and will actually talk to u on the phone and return calls.

      I looked at the picture it looked like and went with that. This is a 12 not a 10. That's cool. I've never had any issues or had to call anyone and I've had several Kicker subs and amps now.

      @@SubzPawz yeah I know it's a 12 I had 2 of the newest comp c 12 the comp c comes in 2 different versions there's the single voice coil comp c and there's the dual voice coil version called the comp s same motor basket surround but the coil has 2 I think they sound great they can take a solid 500 watts

      I call kicker now and then to see what they are doing lol they answer the phone and let u talk to anyone.

      @@joshholden8561 that is nice to know. That is something most companies are hiding from.

      @@joshholden8561 It surprised me giving it's hurt too. As I was playing it it kept sounding better. When i was done with the demo i told my son to touch the cone because before it was making like a sticking sound. After the demo it was not sticking as much, almost gone. It really surprised me how much abuse it took. I may get a newer one to demo, I had the 6.75" but did not have the dyno then. But it took some power then and then some. Very rock solid subs i have to say for everyone Kicking them down. Get the pun?

    ❤ my old Kicker Comp 15" svc.. check out my vids & see how it does on music with only 180w rms @ 4Ohms bridged.. 6 yr old sub that has sewn in tinsel leads and a double stacked magnet 😎🤘 very impressed with Kicker

    • @SubzPawz
      @SubzPawz  Год назад +2

      nice, if you're playing a 15" sub with little power on rebassed music it's probably clipping it like crazy. Be very careful. I know you said you've had it for years, just be careful.

    • @johndeleon713
      @johndeleon713 Год назад +1

      Yes you're right.. I'm looking for someone that has an SMD dd1 so I can properly set my gain .. currently it's @ the 11 o'clock position, no bass boost and the lpf set @ about 65-75hz

    • @SubzPawz
      @SubzPawz  Год назад +2

      @@johndeleon713 Tuning it and more power will help you very much. A bigger amp with more power will make a huge difference.

    • @johndeleon713
      @johndeleon713 Год назад +1

      Oh absolutely.. I'm torn between buying the most watts per $ type of amp (1200w for about $100-$150 ) or getting something with less power but a more well known brand (600-800w) I'm leaning towards the Recoil red1200 or the CT sounds 700.1 d

    • @SubzPawz
      @SubzPawz  Год назад +1

      @@johndeleon713 make sure what ever you do you're going from a 200 watt am to more than 5 times that. You need to make sure your alternator can produce power for the amp first. If you get an amp too big with too much power it's going to eat your alternator and your battery.
