    The big problem is:
Feminism was never meant to mean "anti men". It was supposed to mean rights, equality, and freedom for women.
The misandrists have hijacked the movement and twisted the goal of the movement.
    Many things have been hijacked.
The rainbow colors have also been hijacked. As a kid, when I saw rainbows in the sky, I didn't think of LGBTQ+, now when I see a rainbow, which used to mean "no more rain", my mind immediately think of that community.
We've been conditioned. We've been hoodwinked.

It still ponders me, how Black Women and aligned with the feminist movement. Speaking of American history, how can you support a movement with a dark past directly to Black women? Those early feminists controlled your reproductive system by nursing W children and forcing mating to increase W people's wealth. Those early feminists used your labor and required you to work as hard as a man. In the early 1920s, feminists fought for women's voting rights except for black women. Those feminists took over policies made for BW and increased their wealth while leaving BW behind. It bewildered me BW sign up for the movement

      2. Feminism, separate / divide and conquer
      3. I am Strong, translation, I don't need the help of the BlackMan, I have a Silent Ruthless Partner, who will prop me up. Who has study me, and know that my Boasting about My Strength, is truly My Weakness.
      Q. Why?
      A. Because it blinds and leave Me unprotected, from my Own:
      1. Arrogance
      2. Self - righteousness

I don’t feel deceived by Beyonce at all. I think she’s always shown us who she is and how she thinks in regard to love and family life. In that same interview with Oprah, she tells the audience that we (women) should make sure we are somebody before we become a wife. I believe she is a feminist in the basic, original definition of the term. The definition and example given in Chimamanda’s speech featured in her ‘Flawless’ song off her self-titled album. I also believe that a lot of women should be like Beyonce. We should strive for marriage and family while also striving to do/be OUR best in whatever career or job we choose. Not every woman is career-focused, but I think our civic responsibility is to make a difference/help our community in whatever scale is possible for us. I think us true fans of Beyonce (those who listen to majority of her music) know how she truly feels about love and marriage. She’s a lover girl through and through 🥺

The real truth is. we all know JayZ was assigned to Beyoncé and has always been her industry handler husband, whose had a great impact on her career direction and successes.
However, what Beyoncé has really been saying is that her mother Tina didn’t do her job! Because it’s an insult to give this much credit to a man ( and not he’d own mother) unless a woman just didn’t have good strong matriarchal role models in her life. JayZ has always been Beyoncé’s handler husband because Beyoncé has always been easy to control on that level.

I’ve heard feminism was originally about giving women credit for the contributions we make, that’s the definition I normally go on. Whether that’s delivering children and managing economics of the home or contributing successful ideas to your husbands business. 9/10 famous men only became great because of the capable women behind them- Leo Tolstoy, for example, his wife heavily edited his work, especially War and Peace which became widely known as the greatest novel of all time due to her suggestions to focus more on human emotion and relationship dynamics rather than on battle strategy. Not only that she held down the family of THIRTEEN CHILDREN by herself while he went away on sabbatical to “work” “alone” for months at a time. This man never thanked her publicly. Her efforts are rarely mentioned whenever Tolstoy’s genius is a topic of discussion and yet history is full of women who did just as much for their families for less reward (no protection, no provision, no problem solving. None of the mythical masculine Ps traditionalists promise HVM naturally provide). And society STILL wanted to devalue a woman’s intelligence and deny her right to independence. I know that’s a contentious word in this space but things such as owning her own home, or her own bank account, even the right to medical privacy all fall under the category of independence and should be available to all human beings but were not offered to women for a long time. We had to fight for that. Feminism HAD a purpose even for black women but lately it has been more about making men pay for those years of injustice rather than *peacefully and respectfully coexisting.*

Elma Akob an African feminist has a different take on Feminism than the American flavor. It seems to be more about fighting for women's rights than opposing men. It allows for women empowerment without separating from men. I can't speak for her, but this is what I got from watching one of her talks. I would like to see our people start working together instead of fighting each other or at least focusing on those that DO want to work together.

Women want the "narrative" of feminism and independence, but don't actually want true independence and equality. Women want to have the fun "the boys" are having but don't want to be alone steering the ship. On the other hand, ethnic and racial groups would gladly live in their own communities if they are allowed to succeed. But independent women want to be independent in a world that would still rely on men in most ways.
Ultimately I'm mostly neutral to the whole fight and don't take it so seriously because as a guy I really do believe if men treat women equally, respectfully and with love, we wouldn't have feminism in the first place. However, it is a farce as it is a contradiction in most ways.

Feminism does not mean that men and women are the same, feminism means that men and women have the same RIGHTS. only people who are very poor intellectually have not understood this fundamental notion.
We are equal in law. this is the meaning of true feminism, and it is an important cause because historically, women were considered as inferior beings, and did not have the same fundamental rights as men (right to vote, to work, to have a bank account, or even marry the person of their choice).

Well, is it possible to be an occasional feminist? I am submissive to certain male energies but not others. That being said, certain male energies make me wish I still could produce babies even at my old ass age. But for the 99.9/10th% of men, I cannot submit. So much maybe Im a 9/10ths feminist or a 50/50 'com ci come sa' or fairweather feminist or maybe a submissive in feminist clothing, or the opposite 😳 ooooh...😮therefore, I resist labels in this regards. I can tell for sure as an Igbo girl, she cooks for her husband and cleans the house and wash their clothes. Let the sisterhood remain in foolishness while those they idolize and follow (Beyonce, Ciara, Chimamanda etc) are all married with children and are enjoying family life with their husbands who they respect and submit to.

As a Beyoncé fan, I don’t understand why y’all are mad tbh. Lol 😂 like my brain is so confused. I thought everyone knew that a singer singing a song doesn’t mean that they have gone thru it. Usher sang confessions and he didn’t have a baby with another woman. It’s almost like y’all hold Beyoncé to a higher standard just to get upset with her. She literally told y’all her definition of feminism. She said it’s the equality of both sexes. No where in her definition did it state that she doesn’t need a man. Lol so I’m confused as to why people think she wouldn’t love her husband 😂. It’s giving stupidity!!! Beyoncé saying single ladies was not to tell woman to be single but to if a man likes it that he should put a ring on it. Lol 😂 it’s the opposite of telling women to be single. Beyoncé making lemonade is not just about cheating. It was about healing generational curses that was passed down in her family between men and women and her working out her marriage in the end. So once again, I am confused why YOU all are confused. Beyoncé has been clear about who she is from day one. YOU all decided to put her in a category and are mad that she is staying in the box you decided she should stay in.

Beehive knows how much Beyonce loves and adores her husband and she has been open about it from day one. So mush so that many people call her a pick me for her lyrics. She has always shown love to her man in songs, and in public. Not her fault that you have a misconception about who she is. You can be a happily married woman that loves and respects your husband and still be a feminist that believes in women's rights. @@nnekaonyilofor

I see it this way. The Beyoncé that we see is the performer and should be seen for entertaining purposes only. Just like everyone else, she is a completely different person once she is around her family where she has different responsibilities to her children and husband than to her fans who she owes nothing more than a good performance for the money spent. So for me, this is no surprise, maybe for others, this may come as a disappointment. I believe as an entertainer, she is going to do what will sale and expand her brand. This is why as free thinking people, one should live their own life based upon their own cultivated philosophy and not look to entertainers to bolster their beliefs. Beyoncé, like every other celebrity, is here to entertain, nothing more, nothing less. After you have enjoyed her music and left her concert, leave her on stage and go home and live your life with a nice Renaissance song in your mind. Just my thoughts.

Everything you say about an Entertainers off stage identity differences are consciously what mature adults recognize. Consciously*. Subconsciously, her Independent Women messaging still influenced 2 generations of BW who didn’t draw a line between female empowerment vs. disrespecting and devaluing Manhood. So it’s disingenuous to give her a pass anymore than the corner drug dealer who both take responsibility feeding the community poison 🤷🏾‍♂️
