Mr. Cowen yes indeed one of the world greatest coaches !! IT’s my honor to have learned from him myself till today ,I’m a professional Performance golf coach for private lessons & head golf coach for high school golf team !!
Excellent video! Lots of good information on how to swing using Pete Cowen's methods, why to swing that way, and easy explanations of what some of the terms are describing in different words. The humor mixed in throughout the video also adds an element of entertainment. Well done on communicating the information, and thanks for sharing!
Golf is a sport that looks like it is the easiest thing to do in the world, when i play i feel like my swings the same everytime but the ball goes a different way every time. this video shows just how scientific the swing is, and this is just an iron swing, thats only one aspect!! amazing knowledge
Great video. I seem to have fallen into this from a bit of you, James, Danny maud and Dan h. Played Monday on my own and just had a eureka moment and I literally went ffs that word, out loud but obviously to myself. That feeling of rotating through…wow
Very nice lesson boys. Andy, I’m interested in whether you are trying to point your left shoulder all the way to the ball at the top of the backswing, or is it still pointing just ahead of the ball (if you get my meaning)?
I think this video now helps me "get" the loading of the shoulders, but would love to see a video of how to load for each show explained with some examples
Ooops although i now do a lot of right arm only swings/strikes when i do that last drill i point club to target so either doing something wrong or its my hyper mobile shoulders!
Great stuff, interesting you guys worked with or took lessons from 2 Greats. Appreciate the information - however it speaks more to getting better as average guys, when 2 teaching pros are still working on “it” and trying to get “it”after years of information and direct work with great teachers. Makes us /me wonder about lessons, learning and getting better…
Strange take if im honest! The best players in the world are still working on “it” and you can’t even get remotely better if you’re not learning anything. Knowledge is power. If you improve a tiny bit then you’ve improved
Im a old self taught 6 hcp but the 2 YT pros i can relate to and improve with are Tony Luczak and Pete Cowen, but pc hardly has any yt videos(maybe hes a mean old yorkshireman that doesnt want to give it away for free!) which is why im watching these 2 ! Still it works cos at 63 im hitting it further and more solid than ever and recently learnt to hit a low spinning pitch/chip in 10 mins due to improved swing action working in short game, basically i know have a stable cluhead and load/release the shaft
Yes and we couldnt argue. Its a matter of opinion. Personally I think Pete is much more understated so a lot of golfers don’t actually know the amount of trophies his players have picked up
These tips are great, however, not everyone is able to achieve some of those positions. I’m 66, have severe arthritis in both shoulders , so putting any sort of strain on either of them is not something I, or I expect many others couldn’t achieve.
Ive got RA maybe you have Ost, but i have found loading/ using muscles better has put less strain on my joints! (tho i do strength/conditioning training) and hitting it better and further at 63yo
Leadbetter is the original, Pete Cowen in his foot steps. The problem never is the know how in technic, the challanging part for a great coach is finding the drill for every typ of talent and physics a student has...
There is no Pete Cowen in your videos. You need to stop using the description “with Pete cowen”. It’s disingenuous. Maybe even a lie. I know you’re doing it to get the search results because it’s in every one of your titles. I’m sure you have good content, but lying isn’t the way *correct* following.
The video is portraying information and coaching philosophies from Pete who I worked with for 3 years so the thumbnail and title describes that. Your amateur peers won’t click if its doesn’t have such s title then the video doesn’t get watched. If no one watches then its a waste of my time creating the video, editing it and releasing it.
Watching this back makes me want to go practice again… and lose weight… but mainly practice 😂
😂😂😂 do enough practice and the weight falls off! (Apparently!)
@@andycartergolf As long as the practice isn't followed by beers, lol. (Apparently!)
A great video James
You ain’t losing weight with a new little one… I put on 27kg in 18 months , no time to play golf and workout… soo it’s golf was my choice

I thought it was you and Tubes at first! 😂 great vid guys 👍
Love the collaboration and knowledge share.
❤
Yeah it was good to get together and just chat about the swing
Was waiting for this!!! Thank you so much! We need more of this....
Glad you enjoyed it 🙌🏽
Thank you for all the recent content! Great to see.

My pleasure, thanks for watching
Always nice to see a collab with a couple of my favorite youtubers! Thanks lads
Unreal collab
Thanks for this, but I think you guys forgot to circle back around on the difference of loading the shoulders for a draw vs a fade 😢
Great collaboration and brilliant and very interesting info about the golf swing.
Thank you fellas. I love feel drills. Was trying the drill as you were teaching it. Can't wait to get out on the range to work on it.
Class mate. Love that comment

Interesting vlog Andy - nice bit of collaboration work!
Cheers
Thanks guys, great drills
Love this style of video!
Love this 👍🏽
This is good work from both of you 👏🏴⛳
Love seeing ROBO on different channels! 🐊🏌⛳️🦅🇺🇸
Fantastic video, guys! Work on this before you start your round, and if done correctly, the strike will take care of itself!
Great video. I seem to have fallen into this from a bit of you, James, Danny maud and Dan h. Played Monday on my own and just had a eureka moment and I literally went ffs that word, out loud but obviously to myself. That feeling of rotating through…wow

How can you point your shoulder? It's spherical.
Would love to see a video of the release maybe some chipping drills to grasp it 👍🏼
I think this video now helps me "get" the loading of the shoulders, but would love to see a video of how to load for each show explained with some examples
Yeah ill get one like this filmed soon
Ooops although i now do a lot of right arm only swings/strikes when i do that last drill i point club to target so either doing something wrong or its my hyper mobile shoulders!
Didn't finish explaining different ways to load the shoulders for draws & fades, more peaze & thx.
More to come
A great video Andy❤
Thank you 🙏🏽

Really nice jobs... And very well presented. Anything on players whose dominant arm is their lead arm?
Nice to see Mr R here. Maybe a game between you, James and Chris?
Yes we filmed some course content too. Stay tuned
Do Peter mention anything about drive swing? Does it follow the same pattern?
Yes it follows the same patterns
I filmed a driver version recently so look out on the channel next week

As someone who has been taught to have a 1 plane swing do this actions still apply ?
I would say Butch Harmon is the world's number 1 coach
Yes and we couldnt argue. Its a matter of opinion.

Good info made better with humour 😅
Humour is always needed
Nick Hooby is number 1
I find my high scores come from the big ball getting in the way of the little ball, and forcing me to dig a ditch behind the ball to get to it.
Then lets fix it bud. follow me on Skillest
Have you stopped teaching in Dubai?
Yes, i left Dubai around 2yrs ago
@@andycartergolf where do you teach now?
I’m of into the garden to oppose my takeaway!
Good man, get to it

Very true but I will release golf tips that are achievable for other golfers.
Thankfully there is more than one way to swing a golf club
Ive got RA maybe you have Ost, but i have found loading/ using muscles better has put less strain on my joints! (tho i do strength/conditioning training) and hitting it better and further at 63yo

Correct, communication of a coach to player is vital. I personally put that over knowledge in most cases, particular with amateur golfers.
You never told us how to get your shoulders in line for a fade and a draw
I am bit disappointment, you did not really talk about loading, putting tension on, shoulders for fade or draw as it was mentioned at the beginning.
Does Andy get to talk?😮
Young James was in his flow!
Yorkshire mafia at it again...
"it's naye golf"
A little bit of cowen and lead better doesn’t sound like a good idea lol
taking ideas and theories is great, plus as long as its relevant like it is in James' swing then it 100% works with no conflict or issues

The pyramid scheme of coaching indeed! X) X)
When you see it and understand it, it's impressive
The next time you see tiger woods at a golf coarse just title the video MY ROUND WITH TIGER WOODS. CLICKBAIT CRAP.
It doesn’t say Pete’s in the video! Ive worked with him for 5 years so I’m passing on my experience.
