Nice car for sure but that tuning would be more suitable on a golf R with the 4 wheel drive. 470 hp does not mean anything if you cannot put it on the road. Plus it is extremely dangerous.
Agreed, there's a reason you don't see above 310hp from the factory on FWD cars coming from the factory. It's not because the manufacturer's can't give them more power, it's because you've run out of grip...

Just dont full throttle through low speed tight corners and ya fine. In the wet anything with 500 brake is slidey you man are dumb
A big thing to consider above 180 is that Wing. It is really big also the whole front is very much pushing the car to the ground on those speeds which really slows it. An RS3 doesnt have that much Aero also an R or regular GTI doesnt the Clubsport has alot (which doesnt seem like it at first but you can feel it holding you more and more back beyond that 180) so thats why it wont go more than 280 it just drags to much - with the regular GTI Aero you probably would be able to reach 300kmh but it wont feel as smooth and stable like in a Clubsport. I Think perfect Power is between 350-400hp with 500-550Nm everything above 400hp front wheel with over 600NM torq isnt fun anymore cause you cant even use it and it already has trouble with 100hp and nm less. So thats why I think APR Street Tuning Stage 1 with 360hp and I think 480NM + all the Hardware Parts for Intake and Exhaust which will boost torque on a Clubsport cause Stock Exhaust is only 55mm all the other GTIs are 65mm to somewhere around those 500-550Nm. Thats like perfect maybe also considering a Wagner Intercooler IF you are an Autobahn guy and drive full speed for longer periods in summer but if you dont you wont need an Intercooler for an R or Clubsport under 400hp.
I own a mk7 Jetta GLI, I have around 330bhp and 400ft/tq, I had changed the tires from 225/40 to 245/40 and it grips way better, it actually grips halfway through 1st. I want to get an IS38 kit and push 410bhp, which would be way more than enough lmao.

@@ARentz07 exactly. I get making dumb power is fun, and I love my GTI to death, but a FWD car has it's limits. If you want to make 470HP, the GTI is not your platform. Now, Mk7 Golf R? I obviously realize that one becomes accustomed to what they grow up with, but living in US I find the fpv on European roadways a little unsettling with only white lines everywhere regardless of one-way or two-way traffic. Here, it's straight-forward. You pull onto a road with a yellow line-even if there is not a single other car on it- you know immediately you're on a two-way road and you stay on the right of the line. The white delineates multiple lanes in the same direction only.
Remember that the cars always shows more boost than reality. 1 atmosphere has to be taken off. 2.7 bar showing in the display are 1.7 bar boost. 2bars with the TTE535 would be 530hp+.
There’s really no reason to have a FWD car with over 300lb-ft of torque unless you have a LSD, and even then, much more than 350lb-ft gives you so much torque steer you can’t even drive the thing very hard. After I tuned my Mk7 GTI PP (VAQ) it was on the verge of having too much torque for the car to handle in sharp turns when you got on it. It also made the clutch start to slip which is a definite weak spot on 6MT Golf GTIs. I was really hoping the Mk8 Golf would introduce a new manual transmission (I was hoping for a 7-speed manual) and much beefier clutch with a more progressive take up and heavier weight, but it appears VW just carried over the transmissions from the Mk7/7.5. Even the 6MT Golf R clutch is pretty weak. One thing I did enjoy about my tuned sleeper GTI (looked and sounded completely stock) was destroying cars that were twice as expensive that had no clue they were going up against a 350HP/350lb-ft Golf. My fav was dusting a Cayman.
alot of misleading comments here too, my friend owns a cupra thats 580bhp 490ibft of torque, with a good tune it puts the power down very well, the issue is some tuners throw all the torque in the lower revs causing too much wheel spin.

The only thing that I don’t like more on the club sport is the spoiler. My rabbit edition has a tiny spoiler extension from the factory and I think it is the best option for a spoiler
Okay, this might be long, but bear with me. I make a good point. Yes, I think the Clubsport is the Bess GTI that you can get. It is very expensive, but it has all the things you would want in a car (power, sound, looks) to make it fun without having to upgrade it. Now, what I don’t understand is why someone would buy this car at its very high price, just to take a lot of the OEM parts off of it, and replace them with aftermarket. This makes zero sense to me because when you buy the Clubsport GTI, you are paying the price it is for the sound (it has a muffler unique to itself), the power (it’s tuned differently), the wheels, etc. This owner has literally upgraded all of that, all of which can be bought for the base model GTI, that would save you over $10k over the Clubsport. You can buy all of the aftermarket parts this car has, for the same exact price, and get the same exact power and performance out of your GTI, in the base model. So why this owner bought the insanely expensive Clubsport, to then upgrade all the things unique to the Clubsport, makes zero sense to me, outside of just telling people you have the Clubsport. So yes, as a stock car, the Clubsport is the best. In the aftermarket world, the base model GTI is the best bang for your buck. Why? Because every single model of the MK7/7.5 GTI/R uses the same EA888 engine, transmission, and chassis.
I can't even fathom going that fast in America, or actually, anywhere! Especially with other drivers on the road potentially pulling out in front of you. And those speeds in a hatch as small as the GTI at that! WHEW! Very thrilling... but frightening at the same time.
Im sure it has more to do with the gearbox as its a DSG, the clutch packs can only take so much power and torque. Now if it was a 6 speed manual it can take it, just need to get the proper clutch.
To be honest I have my doubts about the claimed poweroutput, with 470hp, a mqb based car should run faster above speeds over 200kph. I drive a golf 7r with about 400hp an the differences are negligible.
The handling of the steering wheel trembles a bit... not because of the steering wheel itself. It lacks added stable down force to bring the car evenly during high speed without slightly rocking from side to side (buckling). Solution: side skirts that resemble "down force fenders" on the doors designed like door creases that stretch from the front wheel wells all the way to the rear wheel wells. One long crease-fender on the left door of the car and one long crease fender on the right door of the car. Aerodynamics is key to keep the steering wheel from not buckling.
a FWD 470 HP and light ( 1400 Kg ) hatchback must go easy 300 Km/H ? a leon cupra ST ( 1550 Kg ) and AWD with 300 HP go easy 272 Km/H ( limiter ) my friend has one, i think the tuning is not very good ?
The GTI Clubsport can't go above 300km/h because the 6th gear is too short. I have a normal GTI Performance with a similar build and also can't reach 300km/h GPS because of the 6th gear. I run into the rev limiter at about 295km/h which is already raised to 7200rpm
that is exactly what I am saying, I am running Stage 1 Software Tune APR, running 328 HP and 350 Torque, and I get about 12! this car has problems for sure. or the HP and Torque advertised are not real here. because My GTI would eat this thing to be frank.
Ok! So we got ourselves 470hp! But from 0-100 nothing happens, cuz o da wheelspin! And then from 100-whatever nuttin‘ happens cuz ain‘t nuttin‘ happenin‘! 470hp? The friggin Peugeot 308 GTI or whatever you had is faster stock! Best proof to me that numbers on paper don‘t mean shit🤘🏼

its the small turbo. not the engine limit.
with GT3076 turbo i can reach 300km easy
Im sure it has more to do with the gearbox as its a DSG, the clutch packs can only take so much power and torque. Now if it was a 6 speed manual it can take it, just need to get the proper clutch.
In my opinion a golf Gti just HAS to be a 3 door!!! 😉
You are soooooo right! ✔️
Why the engine struggle to get to 300km what's the issue in this case.?.? Keep it up👆
I think it looks good but IMHO I think the pre facelift Golf R MK7 with a Maxton kit looks the best all murdered 😎👌
Were the LEON Cupra 2019🙄🙄
Channel needs to get some tuned leon cupras. Especially the st versions
Tomorrow comes a tuned Ibiza Cupra 2017 😂
@Chris Is it any kind of reliable?
I have a cupra 280 tuned to 370 hp and it
is as fast as this gti.. no way it has 470 hp
look at the leaderboard there is an Ibiza Cupra fastet than the new RS6 😂
sound is really cooooool 8:21 is perfect
Nice golf Clubsport but I very seriously doubt that has 470 chp unless you were driving low boost mode.
This Clubsport once was a nice car.
Steering wheel turned bit to the right... The wheels are turned left... HOW DID YOU DO THAT? 🤯
I really like the car, my friend
Regular one not fun? I have a GTI clubsport and its fun on the nurburgring, so dont tell me its not fun... Stoemme hollaander
280 km / h here is the maximum golf speed? If not, why you not speed max ?
Great video and you must have big balls to drive a FWD car with 470bhp in the wet.
Its a car that knows its purpose
What wheels are those, the alloys are beautiful. Could I get a link to those if possible?
is something like the piston or connecting rod changed ? very nice golf cant imagine that it can nearly twice as much power.
Du hast den Spaß Modus vergessen: Traktionskontrolle komplett abschalten😅🤣
This sounds really good for a gti the 3rd gen e888 is not known to sound good. I want details so I can run a similar exhaust
Which one is better golf R or golf GTI?
This car is Hella fun. One friend of mine owns one
Hi u did not mention what fuel that specific car is running?
Diesel
This beast is miles ahead of my tsi 1.0. Literally.
8:37 I love that
Lovely exhaust sound
Creases in the middle of the side doors. One on the left and one on the right.
I have one 100% Original with manual shift . When I see This spec. Don't wanna be Original for Long 😉😎👌
Miss you manual gear
Hella fun he had there.
a FWD 470 HP and light ( 1400 Kg ) hatchback must go easy 300 Km/H ? a leon cupra ST ( 1550 Kg ) and AWD with 300 HP go easy 272 Km/H ( limiter ) my friend has one, i think the tuning is not very good ?
Correct, this car has never near 400 HP, and with only FWD its a bad joke ...
The GTI Clubsport can't go above 300km/h because the 6th gear is too short. I have a normal GTI Performance with a similar build and also can't reach 300km/h GPS because of the 6th gear. I run into the rev limiter at about 295km/h which is already raised to 7200rpm
The same in MK7.5 and will be the best!
Even a standard GTI is fun
Do a tcr review:)
I have a cupra 280 tuned to 370 hp and it is as fast as this gti.. no way it has 470 hp
I agree this is not 470 hp
I never cease to be amazed by the versatility of VW EA888. Imho to much power in this car..
Instead of “Length / Breadth”, perhaps you could say that the engine “Runs out of legs 🦵 “ ... but I knew what you meant! 😁👍🏽
over 14 sec from 200-250kmh :D my GTI need 10sec with 400HP this car have Problems
that is exactly what I am saying, I am running Stage 1 Software Tune APR, running 328 HP and 350 Torque, and I get about 12! this car has problems for sure. or the HP and Torque advertised are not real here. because My GTI would eat this thing to be frank.
Everyone hating on the tsi engines they are actually reliable.
Shouldv done this review on a better or dry day... Stil an awesome car tho👍
damn, im freaking gonna buy this machine
What was that button you pressed before actually starting the car ?
Великолепный гольф! Только не нужны ему эти 470 л.с. на переднем приводе.
the regular one is not fun? you praised the gti performance
Im planning to buy a car which is better honda civic sport or GTI hybrid?
It wasn't 2,8 bar of turbo. It's 1,8 bar because of the atmospheric pressure.
2,8 bar would be insane lol
How many cost this tuning in total an is it also for the manual gaerbox?
