Considering the Audi S3 is 46.000€ in my country before options, i would have to spend between 15 and 18k extra to have a nice Audi S3. Idk if it is worth an extra 18k new. On the used market it is the same, a 2018 Hyundai i30 N with 106 db stock and the best in class 4 cylinder sound is at like 22k where the Audi is a 10k-15k premium. That is a lot of money for an interior which isn't my favorite and the standard VAG sound with rev limiter at 3500 rpm..
I have a stage 2 tune MK7 which had pops and bangs but after 5 years of it, I had it removed but still has some but only in sports, plus have ipe exhaust system and can open and close it. Absolutely love my Golf, 7 years old and still only 36ks on the clock but drive it hard. My wife has the 7.5 final edition stage 2 racingline and goes harder than the MK7
no autobahn here in aus, only had my mk6 r stage 1 for a few months and have gone 245 on some pretty bad tyres. super adrenaline pumping the first time. cant imagine going almost 300 in it ahaha. stage 2 soon tho so ill give it a go!

Have you modified your DSG beyond tuning it and how is it holding up to that power? Compare for example if you'd buy a charger srt or a corvette. In America assuming a reasonably good salary it's alright to keep it and maintain it. In Europe it's hard to even find parts and when you find them the price is insane. Just sucks to have interest in cars that aren't manufactered close to home. German cars do have a really good rep though
The Golf Gti and R are such a fun car to tuned and make it daily drive. The Japanese used to make that kinda car with the old Evo , Wrx sti and type R. Sadly they don’t make it any more

In the USA I hear v8s with no mufflers pretty often. They are probably much louder than that Golf. They don’t care they run wide open by my house 70+mph in a 45 zone.

@@mmkk2794 according to physics all the energy is in the fuel. the size of the engine, the turbos or superchargers, high pressure pumps, software and so on just have the purpose to force more fuel into the engine. so unless you find a car with an engine that way more efficient, which you won't, you won't have high power and good fuel economy
