in europe and espacially in germany you have to follow very specific laws when modifying your car. ur mods also need to be inspected by an "government insitute", so u have to mod and tune with care and of course much money
Regarding comments of front end not being planted and brakes being not great. I would suggest reverting to stock brakes and put some fresh rubber on, Michelin or Conti, The stock brakes are stunning, and there is no wash out of front end if configured right.
Gotta admit 1 thing the sound a Golf 7.5 makes is the same as shooting with a gun through an empty can, when the R32 exhaust comes in,,, everything changes the normal 7 exhaust had better sound compared to a 7.5, but seriously i have an mk5 that i have to sell cause of oil problems, but shiit man the sound that an R32 exhaust makes is seriously something else
@@hyperpro9118 it always has oil issues, the heart of the car, oilpump issues always oil filter always an issue, distribution chain is also an common issue, then we have the engine light also an irritating issue it could be a sensor that is not responding but it will cost you a few thousands of dollars/euros, my car had a oil pipe problem those pipes were totally broken, i had no info about cars either luckily i gave them the car back and got another one but it did cost me around a 5k extra to repair everything, as in oil GTI/R/R32 are oil consumers and that is very normal, above the 120-140 mark it consumes oil as using fuel, always good to keep a few liters of oil in the back in case of an emergency stop I have to admit i love VW with the bottom of my heart but the engine and oil problems do make me go for Toyota

10:28 the brakes on the mk6 R will feel like that even if its an RS3 Kit. I driven mine without the rear wheel drive shaft for a couple of months (wanted some of that spinning wheel action GTI feel) and it does stop a lot faster and the brakes feel a lot better. I think the main reason is because it's an AWD
Bruh my golf 4 mk4 with 201 hp vr6 manages to get onto 270-280km/h quiet fast and its all stuck other then the bigger wheels a little chamber and hard sport suspension how is this one not going for the 300km/h with that amount of hoursepower like for real 266hp but the exhaust sounds freakin fire
In theory these should become very collectable, because they are a lot rarer than the mk5 r32 (Certainly on U.K roads) . I had a MK5 R32, which was a great car but I wish I bought this one instead.

Would you rate a MK7 GTI over this? I'm looking to sell my S2000 to get either a MK6 R or a MK7 GTI. I like that the GTI's newer and probably an upgrade but there's just something about the MK6 R that really draws me in.
Not all new upgrades are good mate go with your intuition .mk6R is a gorgeous ride..I like the centered exhaust same as with R32...but newer versions don't feature that anymore so it's a drawback for me..I'd get the 6R
If it has a hpfp upgrade plus decat it will put out 360hp with the right tune. My Mk5 has 360hp 500nm with those mods & it's pretty much the same engine.
Nope the MK7 lighter and has revised DSG and HALDEX software. I traded in my supposedly stage 2 Golf R MK6 for a stock MK7.5 R and I could instantly notice the weight difference and low end pull was a bit keener.

A thing that annoyes me the most is a car sound in the tunnel, i don't know why but any engine noise in the tunnel ,it pisses me off and i skip that part.

Yea like he said...there's no way it's 360hp...More in the low 300's. Mine is measured at ~330hp and in the 200km/h+ it definitely gives more...

Just fast as my stage 2 mk6 GTI.
I owned a mark VI GTI, great car but would top out at 140mph.
To be fair that's fast enough for most places, unless of course your on the Autobahn.
Should be a little bit faster than that, even at stock power. Probably something was slightly wrong with yours, unfortunately.
