  • FDNY Ladder 131, the Happy Hookers from Red Hook, Brooklyn, was acting 35 while 35 responded to a 3rd alarm on the Upper East Side. L131 responded to a potential water rescue at W79th St and turned on their siren for us on the way out. The rumbler sounded like it was in need of repair!

At first we were just excited they turned on the siren, then we heard the rumbler gurgling and were like, whoa that’s different! Sounds like it needs to be repaired

THE OLD RUMBLER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BY BRAND NEW ONE.

Guessing that you know more about sirens than I do! I thought it almost sounded like a loose connection somewhere, like when a speaker is plugged in with a bad cable (given that they use electric sirens now).

Thanks! I shoot video on a iPhone 🫣 and recently upgraded to the 15 Pro Max. I am into nature photography and have a Sony a6500 I use for that, but I’ve found that the video stabilization on the phones now is fantastic, and I always have the phone with me so I catch things I would miss otherwise.
